Et Amnon lui dit: J'aime Tamar, soeur d'Absalom mon frère. | And he said unto him, Why, O son of the king, art thou thus lean from day to day? wilt thou not tell me? And Amnon said unto him, I love Tamar, my brother Absalom`s sister. | Questi gli disse: Perché mai, o figlio del re, continui a dimagrire ogni giorno che passa? Non me lo vuoi dire?. Amnon gli rispose: Sono innamorato di Tamar, sorella di mio fratello Absalom. |

| 8 | Et Tamar alla dans la maison d'Ammon, son frère, et il était couché; et elle prit de la pâte et la pétrit, et prépara sous ses yeux des beignets, et elle cuisit les beignets. | So Tamar went to her brother Amnon`s house; and he was laid down. And she took dough, and kneaded it, and made cakes in his sight, and did bake the cakes. | Tamar andò a casa di suo fratello Amnon, che si trovava a letto. Prese quindi un po' di farina la impastò, ne fece delle focacce sotto i suoi occhi e le fece cuocere. |

Et tout homme sortit d'auprès de lui. | And she took the pan, and poured them out before him; but he refused to eat. And Amnon said, Have out all men from me. Et Tamar prit les beignets qu'elle avait préparés, et les apporta à Ammon, son frère, dans la chambre. | And Amnon said unto Tamar, Bring the food into the chamber, that I may eat from thy hand. And Tamar took the cakes which she had made, and brought them into the chamber to Amnon her brother. | Allora Amnon disse a Tamar: Portami il cibo in camera e lo prenderò dalle tue mani. Così Tamar prese le focacce che aveva fatto e le portò in camera a Amnon suo fratello. |
| 11 | Et elle les lui présenta à manger; et il la saisit, et lui dit: Viens, couche avec moi, ma soeur. | And when she had brought them near unto him to eat, he took hold of her, and said unto her, Come, lie with me, my sister. | Mentre gliele dava da mangiare, egli l'afferrò e le disse: Vieni, coricati con me, sorella mia. |
| 12 | Et elle lui dit: Non, mon frère, ne m'humilie pas; car on ne fait point ainsi en Israël: ne fais pas cette infamie. | And she answered him, Nay, my brother, do not force me; for no such thing ought to be done in Israel: do not thou this folly. | Lei gli rispose: No, fratello mio, non umiliarmi così; questo non si fa in Israele; non commettere una tale infamia! |
| 13 | Et moi, où porterais-je ma honte? Et toi, tu serais comme l'un des infâmes en Israël. Et maintenant, parle au roi, je te prie, car il ne me refusera point à toi. | And I, whither shall I carry my shame? and as for thee, thou wilt be as one of the fools in Israel. Now therefore, I pray thee, speak unto the king; for he will not withhold me from thee. | Io dove andrei a portare la mia vergogna? Tu invece saresti considerato uno scellerato in Israele. | 14 | Et il ne voulut pas écouter sa voix, et il fut plus fort qu'elle et l'humilia et coucha avec elle. | Howbeit he would not hearken unto her voice; but being stronger than she, he forced her, and lay with her. | Egli però non volle ascoltarla ma essendo più forte di lei, la violentò e si coricò con lei. |
| 15 | Et Amnon la haït d'une très-grande haine, car la haine dont il la haït était plus grande que l'amour dont il l'avait aimée. Et Amnon lui dit: Lève-toi, va-t'en. | Then Amnon hated her with exceeding great hatred; for the hatred wherewith he hated her was greater than the love wherewith he had loved her. And Amnon said unto her, Arise, be gone. | Poi Amnon prese a odiarla di un odio grandissimo, cosicché l'odio che aveva per lei era più grande dell'amore con cui prima l'aveva amata. Così Amnon le disse: Lèvati, vattene!. |
| 16 | Et elle lui dit: Il n'y a pas de raison pour cela; ce tort de me chasser est plus grand que l'autre que tu m'as fait. Mais il ne voulut pas l'écouter. | And she said unto him, Not so, because this great wrong in putting me forth is [worse] than the other that thou didst unto me. But he would not hearken unto her. | Ma ella rispose: Oh no! Il danno che mi faresti scacciandomi sarebbe maggiore di quello che mi hai già fatto. Egli però non volle ascoltarla. |
| 17 | Et il appela son jeune homme qui le servait, et dit: Chassez donc cette femme dehors, de devant moi; et ferme la porte au verrou après elle. | Then he called his servant that ministered unto him, and said, Put now this woman out from me, and bolt the door after her. | Chiamato quindi il servo che lo assisteva, gli disse: Scaccia costei lontano da me e chiudi la porta dietro di lei. |
| 18 | Et elle avait sur elle une tunique bigarrée; car les filles du roi qui étaient vierges étaient ainsi habillées de robes. Et celui qui le servait la mit dehors, et ferma la porte après elle. | And she had a garment of divers colors upon her; for with such robes were the king`s daughters that were virgins apparelled. Then his servant brought her out, and bolted the door after her. | Ella indossava una tunica con le maniche perché così vestivano le figlie del re ancora vergini. Il servo di Amnon dunque la mise fuori e chiuse la porta dietro di lei. |
| 19 | Et Tamar prit de la poussière et la mit sur sa tête, et déchira la tunique bigarrée qu'elle avait sur elle, et elle mit sa main sur sa tête, et s'en alla, marchant et criant. | And Tamar put ashes on her head, and rent her garment of divers colors that was on her; and she laid her hand on her head, and went her way, crying aloud as she went. | Tamar allora si cosparse la testa di cenere, si stracciò di dosso la tunica con le maniche, si mise la mano sul capo e se ne andò gridando. |
| 20 | Et Absalom, son frère, lui dit: Est-ce que ton frère Amnon a été avec toi? Et maintenant, ma soeur, garde le silence: il est ton frère; ne prends pas cette chose à coeur. Et Tamar demeura désolée dans la maison d'Absalom, son frère. | And Absalom her brother said unto her, Hath Amnon thy brother been with thee? but now hold thy peace, my sister: he is thy brother; take not this thing to heart. So Tamar remained desolate in her brother Absalom`s house. | Absalom, suo fratello, le disse: Forse tuo fratello Amnon è stato con te? Per ora taci, sorella mia; egli è tuo fratello non avvilirti per questo. Così Tamar se ne rimase desolata in casa di Absalom suo fratello. |
| 21 | Et le roi David entendit parler de toutes ces choses, et il en fut très-irrité. | But when king David heard of all these things, he was very wroth. | Quando il re Davide venne a sapere di tutte queste cose, ne fu fortemente adirato. |
| 22 | Et Absalom ne parla à Ammon, ni en mal, ni en bien, car Absalom haïssait Ammon, parce qu'il avait humilié Tamar, sa soeur. | And Absalom spake unto Amnon neither good nor bad; for Absalom hated Amnon, because he had forced his sister Tamar. | Ma Absalom non rivolse ad Amnon alcuna parola, né in bene né in male perché odiava Amnon per aver umiliato sua sorella Tamar. |
| 23 | Et il arriva, après deux années entières, qu'Absalom avait les tondeurs à Baal-Hatsor, qui est près d'Éphraïm; et Absalom invita tous les fils du roi. | And it came to pass after two full years, that Absalom had sheep-shearers in Baal-hazor, which is beside Ephraim: and Absalom invited all the king`s sons. | Due anni dopo, avendo Absalom i tosatori a Baal-Hatsor presso Efraim, invitò tutti i figli del re. |
| 24 | Et Absalom vint vers le roi, et dit: Tu vois que ton serviteur a les tondeurs: je te prie, que le roi et ses serviteurs aillent avec ton serviteur. | And Absalom came to the king, and said, Behold now, thy servant hath sheep-shearers; let the king, I pray thee, and his servants go with thy servant. | Absalom andò a trovare il re e gli disse: Ecco, il tuo servo ha i tosatori, ti prego, venga anche il re con i suoi servi a casa del tuo servo!. |
| 25 | Et le roi dit à Absalom: Non, mon fils, nous n'irons pas tous, et nous ne te serons pas à charge. Et il le pressa, mais il ne voulut pas aller; et il le bénit. | And the king said to Absalom, Nay, my son, let us not all go, lest we be burdensome unto thee. And he pressed him: howbeit he would not go, but blessed him. | Ma il re disse ad Absalom: No, figlio mio, non veniamo tutti ora, per non esserti di peso. Benché egli insistesse, il re non volle andare, ma gli diede la sua benedizione. |
| 26 | Et Absalom dit: Si tu ne viens pas, que mon frère Ammon, je te prie, vienne avec nous. Et le roi lui dit: Pourquoi irait-il avec toi? | Then said Absalom, If not, I pray thee, let my brother Amnon go with us. And the king said unto him, Why should he go with thee? | Absalom allora disse: Se non vuoi venire tu, ti prego, permetti ad Amnon mio fratello di venire con noi. Il re gli rispose: Perché dovrebbe venire con te?. |
| 27 | Et Absalom le pressa, et il envoya avec lui Amnon et tous les fils du roi. | But Absalom pressed him, and he let Amnon and all the king`s sons go with him. | Ma Absalom tanto insistè, che Davide lasciò andare con lui Amnon e tutti i figli del re. |
| 28 | Et Absalom commanda à ses serviteurs, disant: Faites attention, je vous prie, quand le coeur d'Ammon sera gai par le vin, et que je vous dirai: Frappez Ammon, alors tuez-le, ne craignez point; n'est-ce pas moi qui vous l'ai commandé? Fortifiez-vous, et soyez vaillants! | And Absalom commanded his servants, saying, Mark ye now, when Amnon`s heart is merry with wine; and when I say unto you, Smite Amnon, then kill him; fear not; have not I commanded you? be courageous, and be valiant. | Or Absalom aveva dato quest'ordine ai suoi servi, dicendo: Fate attenzione, quando Amnon sarà brillo per il vino e io vi dirò: "Colpite Amnon!", voi uccidetelo e non abbiate paura. Non sono io che ve lo comando? Siate coraggiosi e mostratevi forti!. |
| 29 | Et les serviteurs d'Absalom firent à Amnon comme Absalom l'avait commandé; et tous les fils du roi se levèrent, et montèrent chacun sur son mulet et s'enfuirent. | And the servants of Absalom did unto Amnon as Absalom had commanded. Then all the king`s sons arose, and every man gat him up upon his mule, and fled. | Così i servi di Absalom fecero ad Amnon come Absalom aveva comandato. Allora tutti i figli del re si levarono, montarono ciascuno sul suo mulo e fuggirono. |
| 30 | Et il arriva, comme ils étaient en chemin, que le bruit en vint à David; on disait: Absalom a frappé tous les fils du roi, et il n'en reste pas un seul. | And it came to pass, while they were in the way, that the tidings came to David, saying, Absalom hath slain all the king`s sons, and there is not one of them left. | Mentre essi erano ancora per strada, giunse a Davide questa notizia: Absalom ha ucciso tutti i figli del re e non ne è scampato neppure uno. |
| 31 | Et le roi se leva, et déchira ses vêtements, et se coucha par terre; et tous ses serviteurs étaient là, les vêtements déchirés. | Then the king arose, and rent his garments, and lay on the earth; and all his servants stood by with their clothes rent. | Allora il re si levò, si strappò le vesti e si gettò per terra, e tutti i suoi servi gli stavano attorno, con le vesti stracciate. |
| 32 | Et Jonadab, fils de Shimha, frère de David, prit le parole et dit: Que mon seigneur ne pense pas qu'on ait tué tous les jeunes hommes, fils du roi, car Amnon seul est mort; car cela a eu lieu par l'ordre d'Absalom qu'il avait arrêté dès le jour qu' Amnon humilia Tamar, sa soeur. | And Jonadab, the son of Shimeah, David`s brother, answered and said, Let not my lord suppose that they have killed all the young men the king`s sons; for Amnon only is dead; for by the appointment of Absalom this hath been determined from the day that he forced his sister Tamar. | Ma Jonadab, figlio di Scimeah, fratello di Davide, prese a dire: Non pensi il mio signore che tutti i giovani, i figli del re, sono stati uccisi; il solo Amnon è morto. Per comando di Absalom la cosa era stata decisa fin dal giorno che Amnon umiliò sua sorella Tamar. |
| 33 | Et maintenant, que le roi, mon seigneur ne prenne pas ceci à coeur, disant: Tous les fils du roi sont morts; car Amnon seul est mort. | Now therefore let not my lord the king take the thing to his heart, to think that all the king`s sons are dead; for Amnon only is dead. | Ora perciò il re mio signore non si addolori, pensando che tutti i figli del re siano morti; il solo Amnon è morto |
| 34 | Et Absalom s'enfuit. Et le jeune homme qui était en sentinelle leva ses yeux et regarda; et voici, un grand peuple venait par le chemin qui était derrière lui, du côté de la montagne. | But Absalom fled. And the young man that kept the watch lifted up his eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came much people by the way of the hill-side behind him. | e Absalom è fuggito. Intanto il giovane che era di sentinella alzò gli occhi, guardo, ed ecco che una gran moltitudine di gente veniva sulla strada alle sue spalle, dal lato del monte. |
| 35 | Et Jonadab dit au roi: Voici les fils du roi qui viennent; selon la parole de ton serviteur, ainsi il en est arrivé. | And Jonadab said unto the king, Behold, the king`s sons are come: as thy servant said, so it is. | Jonadab disse al re: Ecco i figli del re che arrivano! La cosa sta come il tuo servo ha detto. |
| 36 | Et comme il achevait de parler, voici, les fils du roi arrivèrent, et ils élevèrent leur voix et pleurèrent; et le roi aussi, et tous ses serviteurs pleurèrent très-amèrement. | And it came to pass, as soon as he had made an end of speaking, that, behold, the king`s sons came, and lifted up their voice, and wept: and the king also and all his servants wept very sore. | Come ebbe finito di parlare ecco giungere i figli del re, i quali alzarono la voce e piansero; anche il re e tutti i suoi servi piansero dirottamente. |
| 37 | Et Absalom s'enfuit, et s'en alla vers Talmaï, fils d'Ammihud, roi de Gueshur; et David menait deuil tous les jours sur son fils. | But Absalom fled, and went to Talmai the son of Ammihur, king of Geshur. And [David] mourned for his son every day. | Absalom invece era fuggito ed era andato da Talmai, figlio di Ammihud re di Gheshur. Davide faceva cordoglio per suo figlio ogni giorno. |
| 38 | Ainsi Absalom s'enfuit, et il vint à Gueshur et fut là trois ans; | So Absalom fled, and went to Geshur, and was there three years. | Così Absalom fuggì e andò a Gheshur dove rimase tre anni. |
| 39 | et le roi David languissait d'aller vers Absalom, car il était consolé à l'égard d'Ammon, parce qu'il était mort. | And [the soul of] king David longed to go forth unto Absalom: for he was comforted concerning Amnon, seeing he was dead. | Il re Davide desiderava andare da Absalom, perché Davide si era ormai consolato della morte di Amnon. |
