| 5 | Et pendant qu'il racontait au roi comment Élisée avait rendu la vie à un mort, la femme dont Élisée avait fait revivre le fils vint implorer le roi au sujet de sa maison et de son champ. Guéhazi dit : O roi, mon seigneur, voici la femme, et voici son fils qu'Élisée a fait revivre. | And it came to pass, as he was telling the king how he had restored to life him that was dead, that, behold, the woman, whose son he had restored to life, cried to the king for her house and for her land. So the king appointed unto her a certain officer, saying, Restore all that was hers, and all the fruits of the field since the day that she left the land, even until now. | Il re interrogò la donna ed essa gli raccontò il fatto; allora il re l'affidò a un funzionario, al quale disse: Restituiscile tutto ciò che le appartiene e tutte le rendite delle terre, dal giorno in cui ella lasciò il paese fino ad ora. |

| 8 | Le roi dit à Hazaël : Prends avec toi un présent, et va au-devant de l'homme de Dieu ; consulte par lui l'Éternel, en disant : Guérirai-je de cette maladie ? | And the king said unto Hazael, Take a present in thy hand, and go, meet the man of God, and inquire of Jehovah by him, saying, Shall I recover of this sickness? | Allora il re disse ad Hazael: Prendi con te un dono e va' incontro all'uomo di DIO, e consulta per mezzo di lui l'Eterno, dicendo: "Guarirò da questa malattia?". |
| 9 | Hazaël alla au-devant d'Élisée, prenant avec lui un présent, tout ce qu'il y avait de meilleur à Damas, la charge de quarante chameaux. Lorsqu'il fut arrivé, il se présenta à lui, et dit : Ton fils Ben Hadad, roi de Syrie, m'envoie vers toi pour dire : Guérirai-je de cette maladie ? | So Hazael went to meet him, and took a present with him, even of every good thing of Damascus, forty camels` burden, and came and stood before him, and said, Thy son Benhadad king of Syria hath sent me to thee, saying, Shall I recover of this sickness? | Così Hazael andò incontro a Eliseo portando con sé in dono le migliori cose di Damasco: un carico di quaranta cammelli. And he answered, Because I know the evil that thou wilt do unto the children of Israel: their strongholds wilt thou set on fire, and their young men wilt thou slay with the sword, and wilt dash in pieces their little ones, and rip up their women with child. | Allora Hazael domandò: Perché piange il mio signore?. And Elisha answered, Jehovah hath showed me that thou shalt be king over Syria. | Hazael disse: Ma cos'è mai il tuo servo, un cane, per fare così grandi cose?. Eliseo rispose: L'Eterno mi ha fatto vedere che tu diventerai re di Siria. |
| 14 | Hazaël quitta Élisée, et revint auprès de son maître, qui lui dit : Que t'a dit Élisée ? Et il répondit : Il m'a dit : Tu guériras ! | Then he departed from Elisha, and came to his master; who said to him, What said Elisha to thee? And he answered, He told me that thou wouldest surely recover. | Poi Hazael si allontanò da Eliseo e tornò dal suo signore, che gli chiese: Che cosa ti ha detto Eliseo?.
