| 1 | Et Élisée dit: Écoutez la parole de l'Éternel. Ainsi dit l'Éternel: Demain à cette heure-ci, la mesure de fleur de farine sera à un sicle, et les deux mesures d'orge à un sicle, à la porte de Samarie. | And Elisha said, Hear ye the word of Jehovah: thus saith Jehovah, To-morrow about this time shall a measure of fine flour be [sold] for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria. | Allora Eliseo disse: Ascoltate la parola dell'Eterno! Così dice l'Eterno: "Domani, a quest'ora, alla porta di Samaria una misura di fior di farina costerà un siclo e due misure di orzo costeranno pure un siclo". |
| 2 | Et le capitaine, sur la main duquel le roi s'appuyait, répondit à l'homme de Dieu, et dit: Voici, quand l'Éternel ferait des fenêtres aux cieux, cela arriverait-il? Et Élisée dit: Voici, tu le verras de tes yeux, mais tu n'en mangeras pas. | Then the captain on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God, and said, Behold, if Jehovah should make windows in heaven, might this thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof. | Ma il capitano, sul cui braccio il re si appoggiava, rispose all'uomo di DIO: Ecco, anche se l'Eterno facesse delle finestre in cielo, avverrà mai una cosa del genere?. Eliseo rispose: Ebbene, lo vedrai con i tuoi, stessi occhi, ma non ne mangerai. |
| 3 | Et il y avait à l'entrée de la porte quatre hommes lépreux, et ils se dirent l'un à l'autre: Pourquoi sommes-nous assis ici jusqu'à ce que nous mourions? | Now there were four leprous men at the entrance of the gate: and they said one to another, Why sit we here until we die? | Or c'erano quattro lebbrosi all'ingresso della porta, i quali dissero tra di loro Perché stiamo seduti qui aspettando di morire? |
| 4 | Si nous disons: Entrons dans la ville, la famine est dans la ville, et nous y mourrons; et si nous restons assis ici, nous mourrons. Et maintenant, venez, et passons dans le camps des Syriens: s'ils nous laissent vivre, nous vivrons; et s'ils nous font mourir, nous mourrons. | If we say, We will enter into the city, then the famine is in the city, and we shall die there; and if we sit still here, we die also. Now therefore come, and let us fall unto the host of the Syrians: if they save us alive, we shall live; and if they kill us, we shall but die. | Se diciamo: "Entriamo in città", in città c'è la fame e vi moriremo; se restiamo qui, moriremo ugualmente. Or dunque venite, andiamo a presentarci nell'accampamento dei Siri; se ci lasceranno vivere, vivremo; se ci daranno la morte, moriremo. |
| 5 | Et ils se levèrent au crépuscule pour entrer dans le camps des Syriens; et ils vinrent jusqu'au bout du camp des Syriens, et voici, il n'y avait personne. | And they rose up in the twilight, to go unto the camp of the Syrians; and when they were come to the outermost part of the camp of the Syrians, behold, there was no man there. | Al crepuscolo si alzarono per andare all'accampamento dei Siri; come giunsero all'estremità dell'accampamento dei Siri ecco che non c'era nessuno. |
| 6 | Car le Seigneur avait fait entendre dans le camp des Syriens un bruit de chars et un bruit de chevaux, le bruit d'une grande armée; et ils se dirent l'un à l'autre: Voici, le roi d'Israël a pris à sa solde contre nous les rois des Héthiens et les rois des Égyptiens, pour venir sur nous. | For the Lord had made the host of the Syrians to hear a noise of chariots, and a noise of horses, even the noise of a great host: and they said one to another, Lo, the king of Israel hath hired against us the kings of the Hittites, and the kings of the Egyptians, to come upon us. | Il Signore infatti aveva fatto udire all'esercito dei Siri un rumore di carri e un rumore di cavalli, il rumore di un grande esercito, ed essi si erano detti l'un l'altro: Ecco, il re d'Israele ha assoldato contro di noi i re degli Hittei e i re degli Egiziani per assalirci. |
| 7 | Et ils se levèrent au crépuscule, et s'enfuirent; et ils abandonnèrent leurs tentes, et leurs chevaux, et leurs ânes, le camp tel quel; et ils s'enfuirent pour sauver leur vie. | Wherefore they arose and fled in the twilight, and left their tents, and their horses, and their asses, even the camp as it was, and fled for their life. | Perciò essi, al crepuscolo, si erano levati ed erano fuggiti abbandonando le loro tende, i loro cavalli e i loro asini, l'intero accampamento così com'era erano così fuggiti per salvare la loro vita. |
| 8 | Et ces lépreux vinrent jusqu'au bout du camp; et ils entrèrent dans une tente, et mangèrent et burent, et en emportèrent de l'argent, et de l'or, et des vêtements; et ils s'en allèrent et les cachèrent. Et ils retournèrent, et entrèrent dans une autre tente et en emportèrent du butin, et ils s'en allèrent et le cachèrent. | And when these lepers came to the outermost part of the camp, they went into one tent, and did eat and drink, and carried thence silver, and gold, and raiment, and went and hid it; and they came back, and entered into another tent, and carried thence also, and went and hid it. | Giunti all'estremità dell'accampamento, quei lebbrosi entrarono in una tenda, e mangiarono e bevvero; poi portarono via argento, oro e vesti e andarono a nasconderli. Quindi ritornarono e entrarono in un'altra tenda; anche di là portarono via varie cose e andarono a nasconderle. |
| 9 | Et ils se dirent l'un à l'autre: Nous ne faisons pas bien. Ce jour est un jour de bonnes nouvelles, et nous nous taisons. Si nous attendons jusqu'à la lumière du matin, l'iniquité nous trouvera. Et maintenant, venez, allons et rapportons-le à la maison du roi. | Then they said one to another, We do not well; this day is a day of good tidings, and we hold our peace: if we tarry till the morning light, punishment will overtake us; now therefore come, let us go and tell the king`s household. | Ma poi dissero fra di loro: Non facciamo bene così; questo è un giorno di buone novelle, ma noi ce ne stiamo zitti. Se aspettiamo fino alla luce del mattino ci potrebbe venire addosso un castigo. Perciò ora sbrighiamoci e andiamo ad informare la casa del re. |
| 10 | Et ils vinrent et crièrent aux portiers de la ville, et leur rapportèrent, disant: Nous sommes venus dans le camp des Syriens; et voici, il n'y avait personne, ni voix d'homme, seulement les chevaux attachés, et les ânes attachés, et les tentes comme elles étaient. | So they came and called unto the porter of the city; and they told them, saying, We came to the camp of the Syrians, and, behold, there was no man there, neither voice of man, but the horses tied, and the asses tied, and the tents as they were. | Così andarono e chiamarono i guardiani della città, e li informarono della cosa, dicendo: Siamo andati all'accampamento dei Siri, ed ecco non c'era nessuno né si sentiva voce d'uomo; ma c'erano soltanto i cavalli e gli asini legati e le tende intatte. |
| 11 | Et les portiers le crièrent et le rapportèrent dans la maison du roi, à l'intérieur. | And he called the porters; and they told it to the king`s household within. | Allora i guardiani chiamarono e fecero giungere la notizia all'interno della casa del re. |
| 12 | Et le roi se leva de nuit, et dit à ses serviteurs: Je veux vous dire ce que les Syriens nous ont fait: ils savent que nous avons faim, et ils sont sortis du camp pour se cacher dans les champs, disant: Ils sortiront hors de la ville, et nous les prendrons vivants, et nous entrerons dans la ville. | And the king arose in the night, and said unto his servants, I will now show you what the Syrians have done to us. They know that we are hungry; therefore are they gone out of the camp to hide themselves in the field, saying, When they come out of the city, we shall take them alive, and get into the city. | Così il re si levò di notte e disse ai suoi servi: Vi dirò io quel che ci hanno fatto i Siri. Sapendo che noi siamo affamati sono usciti dall'accampamento per nascondersi nella campagna, dicendo: "Come usciranno dalla città, li prenderemo vivi e poi entreremo nella città" |
| 13 | Et un de ses serviteurs répondit et dit: Qu'on prenne donc cinq des chevaux restants, qui demeurent de reste dans la ville; voici, ils sont comme toute la multitude d'Israël qui est de reste en elle; voici, ils sont comme toute la multitude d'Israël qui a péri. Envoyons-les, et nous verrons. | And one of his servants answered and said, Let some take, I pray thee, five of the horses that remain, which are left in the city (behold, they are as all the multitude of Israel that are left in it; behold, they are as all the multitude of Israel that are consumed); and let us send and see. | Uno dei suoi servi gli rispose: Ti prego, lascia che alcuni uomini prendano cinque dei cavalli che ancora rimangono in città. Ecco, essi saranno al massimo come tutta la moltitudine d'Israele che è rimasta in città, oppure saranno come la moltitudine d'Israele che è già perita, e mandiamoli a vedere. |
| 14 | Et ils prirent deux chars avec leurs chevaux, et le roi envoya après le camp des Syriens, disant: Allez et voyez. | They took therefore two chariots with horses; and the king sent after the host of the Syrians, saying, Go and see. | Presero dunque due carri con i loro cavalli e il re li mandò in traccia dell'esercito dei Siri, dicendo: Andate e vedete. |
| 15 | Et ils s'en allèrent après eux jusqu'au Jourdain; et voici, tout le chemin était plein de vêtements et d'objets que les Syriens avaient jetés dans leur fuite précipitée; et les messagers s'en retournèrent et le rapportèrent au roi. | And they went after them unto the Jordan: and, lo, all the way was full of garments and vessels, which the Syrians had cast away in their haste. And the messengers returned, and told the king. | Così essi andarono dietro a loro fino al Giordano; ed ecco, tutta la strada era cosparsa di vesti e di armi che i Siri avevano gettato via nella loro fuga precipitosa. I messaggeri quindi tornarono e riferirono la cosa al re. |
| 16 | Et le peuple sortit, et pilla le camp des Syriens: et la mesure de fleur de farine fut à un sicle, et les deux mesures d'orge à un sicle, selon la parole de l'Éternel. | And the people went out, and plundered the camp of the Syrians. So a measure of fine flour was [sold] for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, according to the word of Jehovah. | Allora il popolo uscì fuori e saccheggiò l'accampamento dei Siri; una misura di fior di farina costava un siclo, e due misure d'orzo costavano pure un siclo, secondo la parola dell'Eterno. |
| 17 | Et le roi avait commis à la garde de la porte le capitaine sur la main duquel il s'appuyait; et le peuple le foula aux pieds dans la porte, et il mourut, selon ce qu'avait dit l'homme de Dieu, ce qu'il avait dit quand le roi était descendu vers lui. | And the king appointed the captain on whose hand he leaned to have the charge of the gate: and the people trod upon him in the gate, and he died as the man of God had said, who spake when the king came down to him. | Il re aveva messo a guardia della porta il capitano al cui braccio egli si appoggiava; ma il popolo lo calpestò presso la porta, ed egli morì, come aveva detto l'uomo di Dio, quando parlò al re che era sceso a trovarlo. |
| 18 | Et il arriva selon la parole que l'homme de Dieu avait adressée au roi, disant: Les deux mesures d'orge seront à un sicle, et la mesure de fleur de farine sera à un sicle, demain à cette heure-ci, à la porte de Samarie. | And it came to pass, as the man of God had spoken to the king, saying, Two measures of barley for a shekel, and a measure of fine flour for a shekel, shall be to-morrow about this time in the gate of Samaria; | Così avvenne come aveva parlato l'uomo di DIO al re, dicendo: Domani a quest'ora, alla porta di Samaria due misure di orzo costeranno un siclo e una misura di fior di farina costerà pure un siclo. |
| 19 | Et le capitaine avait répondu à l'homme de Dieu, et avait dit: Voici, quand l'Éternel ferait des fenêtres aux cieux, pareille chose arriverait-elle? Et il dit: Voici, tu le verras de tes yeux, mais tu n'en mangeras pas. | and that captain answered the man of God, and said, Now, behold, if Jehovah should make windows in heaven, might such a thing be? and he said, Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof: | Il capitano aveva quindi risposto all'uomo di DIO e gli aveva detto: Ecco, anche se l'Eterno facesse delle finestre in cielo, avverrà mai una cosa del genere?. Eliseo gli aveva allora risposto: Ebbene, lo vedrai con i tuoi stessi occhi, ma non ne mangerai. |
| 20 | Et il lui en arriva ainsi: le peuple le foula aux pieds dans la porte, et il mourut. | it came to pass even so unto him; for the people trod upon him in the gate, and he died. | Gli capitò proprio questo: il popolo lo calpestò presso la porta ed egli morì. |
