| 5 | et qu'on le remette en la main de ceux qui font l'ouvrage, qui sont préposés sur le travail dans la maison de l'Éternel; et que ceux-ci le remettent à ceux qui font l'ouvrage dans la maison de l'Éternel, pour réparer les brèches de la maison: | and let them deliver it into the hand of the workmen that have the oversight of the house of Jehovah; and let them give it to the workmen that are in the house of Jehovah, to repair the breaches of the house, | Lo si consegni nelle mani di coloro che fanno il lavoro, a cui è affidata la sorveglianza della casa dell'Eterno; e questi lo consegnino agli operai che sono nella casa dell'Eterno per riparare i guasti del tempio: |

Et Hilkija donna le livre à Shaphan, et il le lut. | And Hilkiah the high priest said unto Shaphan the scribe, I have found the book of the law in the house of Jehovah. | 17 | Parce qu'ils m'ont abandonné et qu'ils ont brûlé de l'encens à d'autres dieux, pour me provoquer à colère par toute l'oeuvre de leurs mains, ma fureur s'est allumée contre ce lieu, et elle ne s'éteindra point. | Because they have forsaken me, and have burned incense unto other gods, that they might provoke me to anger with all the work of their hands, therefore my wrath shall be kindled against this place, and it shall not be quenched. | perché essi mi hanno abbandonato e hanno bruciato incenso ad altri dèi per provocarmi ad ira con tutte le opere delle loro mani. | 19 | Parce que ton coeur a été sensible, et que tu t'es humilié devant l'Éternel quand tu as entendu ce que j'ai prononcé contre ce lieu et contre ses habitants, savoir qu'ils seraient livrés à la destruction et à la malédiction, et parce que tu as déchiré tes vêtements et que tu as pleuré devant moi, moi aussi j'ai entendu, dit l'Éternel. | because thy heart was tender, and thou didst humble thyself before Jehovah, when thou heardest what I spake against this place, and against the inhabitants thereof, that they should become a desolation and a curse, and hast rent thy clothes, and wept before me; I also have heard thee, saith Jehovah. | poiché il tuo cuore si è intenerito e ti sei umiliato davanti all'Eterno quando hai udito ciò che ho detto contro questo luogo e contro i suoi abitanti, che sarebbero divenuti una desolazione e una maledizione, e ti sei stracciato le vesti e hai pianto davanti a me, anch'io ti ho ascoltato", dice l'Eterno. |

Et ils rapportèrent au roi cette parole. | Therefore, behold, I will gather thee to thy fathers, and thou shalt be gathered to thy grave in peace, neither shall thine eyes see all the evil which I will bring upon this place. And they brought the king word again. | "Perciò, ecco, io ti riunirò ai tuoi padri e sarai deposto in pace nel tuo sepolcro; e i tuoi occhi non vedranno tutto il male che io farò venire su questo luogo".
