Et il dit: Je le sais, moi aussi; taisez-vous. | And the sons of the prophets that were at Beth-el came forth to Elisha, and said unto him, Knowest thou that Jehovah will take away thy master from thy head to-day? And he said, Yea, I know it; hold ye your peace. | I discepoli dei profeti che erano a Bethel andarono quindi a trovare Eliseo e gli dissero: Sai che l'Eterno quest'oggi porterà via il tuo signore al di sopra di te?. | 7 | Et cinquante hommes d'entre les fils des prophètes allèrent et se tinrent vis-à-vis, à distance; et eux deux se tinrent auprès du Jourdain. | And fifty men of the sons of the prophets went, and stood over against them afar off: and they two stood by the Jordan. | Ora cinquanta uomini tra i discepoli dei profeti li seguirono e si fermarono di fronte a loro, da lontano, mentre Elia ed Eliseo si fermarono sulla riva del Giordano. |
| 8 | Et Élie prit son manteau, et le plia, et frappa les eaux, et elles se divisèrent deçà et delà; et ils passèrent eux deux à sec. | And Elijah took his mantle, and wrapped it together, and smote the waters, and they were divided hither and thither, so that they two went over on dry ground. | Allora Elia prese il suo mantello, lo rotolò e percosse le acque, che si divisero, di qua e di là; così passarono entrambi all'asciutto. |
| 9 | Et il arriva, quand ils eurent passé, qu'Élie dit à Élisée: Demande ce que je ferai pour toi avant que je sois enlevé d'avec toi. Et Élisée dit: Qu'il y ait, je te prie, une double mesure de ton esprit sur moi. | And it came to pass, when they were gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I am taken from thee. | 10 | Et il dit: Tu as demandé une chose difficile; si tu me vois quand je serai enlevé d'avec toi, il en sera ainsi pour toi; sinon, cela ne sera pas. | And he said, Thou hast asked a hard thing: [nevertheless], if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so. | Elia disse: Tu hai chiesto una cosa difficile; tuttavia, se mi vedrai quando sarò portato via da te, ciò ti sarà concesso, altrimenti non l'avrai. |
| 11 | Et il arriva comme ils allaient marchant et parlant, que voici un char de feu et des chevaux de feu; et ils les séparèrent l'un de l'autre; et Élie monta aux cieux dans un tourbillon. | And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, [there appeared] a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, which parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. | Ora, mentre essi camminavano discorrendo, ecco un carro di fuoco, e cavalli di fuoco li separarono l'uno dall'altro, ed Elia salì al cielo in un turbine. |

Et il saisit ses vêtements et les déchira en deux pièces; | And Elisha saw it, and he cried, My father, my father, the chariots of Israel and the horsemen thereof! And he saw him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces. | Eliseo vide ciò e si mise a gridare: Padre mio, padre mio, carro d'Israele e sua cavalleria!. | 14 | et il prit le manteau d'Élie qui était tombé de dessus lui, et frappa les eaux, et dit: Où est l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Élie? - Lui aussi frappa les eaux, et elles se divisèrent deçà et delà; et Élisée passa. | And he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said, Where is Jehovah, the God of Elijah? and when he also had smitten the waters, they were divided hither and thither; and Elisha went over. | Poi prese il mantello di Elia che gli era caduto di dosso, percosse le acque e disse: Dov'è l'Eterno, il DIO di Elia?. Et ils allèrent à sa rencontre, et se prosternèrent devant lui en terre, et lui dirent: | And when the sons of the prophets that were at Jericho over against him saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah doth rest on Elisha. And they came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him. | Quando i discepoli dei profeti che erano a Gerico e stavano quindi di fronte al Giordano videro Eliseo, dissero: Lo spirito di Elia si è posato su Eliseo. Et il dit: N'y envoyez pas. | And they said unto him, Behold now, there are with thy servants fifty strong men; let them go, we pray thee, and seek thy master, lest the Spirit of Jehovah hath taken him up, and cast him upon some mountain, or into some valley. And he said, Ye shall not send. | e gli dissero: Ecco, ci sono fra i tuoi servi cinquanta uomini robusti; lascia che vadano a cercare il tuo signore nel caso che lo Spirito dell'Eterno l'avesse preso e gettato su qualche monte o in qualche valle. Eliseo rispose: Non mandate nessuno. |
| 17 | Et ils le pressèrent jusqu'à ce qu'il en fut honteux. Et il leur dit: Envoyez. Et ils envoyèrent cinquante hommes; et ils cherchèrent trois jours, et ne le trouvèrent pas. | And when they urged him till he was ashamed, he said, Send. They sent therefore fifty men; and they sought three days, but found him not. | Ma essi insistettero tanto con lui che egli ne fu confuso e disse: Mandateli Allora essi mandarono cinquanta uomini che cercarono Elia per tre giorni, ma non lo trovarono. |
| 18 | Et ils retournèrent vers Élisée (il habitait à Jéricho); et il leur dit: Ne vous avais-je pas dit: N'y allez pas? | And they came back to him, while he tarried at Jericho; and he said unto them, Did I not say unto you, Go not? | Quando essi tornarono da Eliseo, che si era fermato a Gerico, egli disse loro: Non vi avevo detto: Non andate?. |
| 19 | Et les hommes de la ville dirent à Élisée: Tu vois que l'emplacement de la ville est bon, comme mon seigneur le voit; mais les eaux sont mauvaises, et la terre est stérile. | And the men of the city said unto Elisha, Behold, we pray thee, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord seeth: but the water is bad, and the land miscarrieth. | Or gli abitanti della città dissero a Eliseo Ecco, il soggiorno di questa città è piacevole, come il mio signore può constatare, ma le acque sono cattive e il paese è sterile. |

| 21 | Et il sortit vers le lieu d'où sortaient les eaux, et y jeta le sel, et dit: Ainsi dit l'Éternel: J'ai assaini ces eaux; il ne proviendra plus d'ici ni mort ni stérilité. | And he went forth unto the spring of the waters, and cast salt therein, and said, Thus saith Jehovah, I have healed these waters; there shall not be from thence any more death or miscarrying. | Allora egli si recò alla sorgente delle acque, vi gettò il sale e disse: Così dice l'Eterno: "Io rendo sane queste acque, da esse non verrà più né morte né sterilità". |
| 22 | Et les eaux furent assainies jusqu'à ce jour, selon la parole qu'Élisée avait prononcée. | So the waters were healed unto this day, according to the word of Elisha which he spake. | Così le acque sono rimaste sane fino al giorno d'oggi, secondo la parola che Eliseo aveva pronunciato. |
| 23 | Et il monta de là à Béthel; et, comme il montait par le chemin, des petits garçons sortirent de la ville, et se moquèrent de lui, et lui dirent: Monte, chauve! monte, chauve! | And he went up from thence unto Beth-el; and as he was going up by the way, there came forth young lads out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou baldhead; go up, thou baldhead. | Poi di là Eliseo salì a Bethel. Mentre egli saliva per la strada uscirono dalla città alcuni giovani e si misero a schernirlo, dicendo: Sali, testa pelata! Sali, testa pelata. |
| 24 | Et il se tourna en arrière et les vit, et il les maudit au nom de l'Éternel. Et deux ourses sortirent de la forêt, et déchirèrent d'entre-eux quarante-deux enfants. | And he looked behind him and saw them, and cursed them in the name of Jehovah. And there came forth two she-bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two lads of them. | Egli si voltò, li vide e li maledisse nel nome dell'Eterno; allora uscirono dalla foresta due orse, che fecero a pezzi quarantadue di quei giovani. |
| 25 | Et, de là, il se rendit à la montagne de Carmel, d'où il s'en retourna à Samarie. | And he went from thence to mount Carmel, and from thence he returned to Samaria. | Di là Eliseo si recò sul monte Karmel, e di là tornò quindi a Samaria. |
