3	Salmanasar, roi d'Assyrie, monta contre lui ; et Osée lui fut assujetti, et lui paya un tribut.	Against him came up Shalmaneser king of Assyria; and Hoshea became his servant, and gave him presents. And the king of Assyria found conspiracy in Hoshea: for he had sent messengers to So king of Egypt, and brought no present to the king of Assyria, as he had done year by year: therefore the king of Assyria shut him up, and bound him in prison. And walked in the statutes of the heathen, whom the LORD cast out from before the children of Israel, and of the kings of Israel, which they had made. 9	Les enfants d'Israël firent en secret contre l'Éternel, leur Dieu, des choses qui ne sont pas bien. Ils se bâtirent des hauts lieux dans toutes leurs villes, depuis les tours des gardes jusqu'aux villes fortes.	And the children of Israel did secretly those things that were not right against the LORD their God, and they built them high places in all their cities, from the tower of the watchmen to the fenced city. And there they burnt incense in all the high places, as did the heathen whom the LORD carried away before them; and wrought wicked things to provoke the LORD to anger:	Et firent là des encensements, dans tous les hauts lieux, comme les nations que l'Éternel avait chassées devant eux. Ils firent des choses mauvaises, pour irriter l'Éternel,	and there they burnt incense in all the high places, as did the nations whom Jehovah carried away before them; and they wrought wicked things to provoke Jehovah to anger;

13	L'Éternel fit avertir Israël et Juda par tous ses prophètes, par tous les voyants, et leur dit : Revenez de vos mauvaises voies, et observez mes commandements et mes ordonnances, en suivant entièrement la loi que j'ai prescrite à vos pères et que je vous ai envoyée par mes serviteurs les prophètes.	Yet the LORD testified against Israel, and against Judah, by all the prophets, and by all the seers, saying, Turn ye from your evil ways, and keep my commandments and my statutes, according to all the law which I commanded your fathers, and which I sent to you by my servants the prophets.	Et l'Éternel somma Israël et Juda par chacun de ses prophètes et de ses voyants, leur disant: Revenez de vos mauvaises voies, gardez mes commandements et mes statuts, selon toute la loi que j'ai prescrite à vos pères, et que je vous ai envoyée par mes serviteurs les prophètes. Notwithstanding they would not hear, but hardened their necks, like to the neck of their fathers, that did not believe in the LORD their God. And they rejected his statutes, and his covenant that he made with their fathers, and his testimonies which he testified against them; and they followed vanity, and became vain, and went after the heathen that were round about them, concerning whom the LORD had charged them, that they should not do like them.	Ils méprisèrent ses statuts, et l'alliance qu'il avait traitée avec leurs pères, et les témoignages par lesquels il les avait sommés. 16	Ils abandonnèrent tous les commandements de l'Éternel, leur Dieu, ils se firent deux veaux en fonte, ils fabriquèrent des idoles d'Astarté, ils se prosternèrent devant toute l'armée des cieux, et ils servirent Baal.	And they left all the commandments of the LORD their God, and made them molten images, even two calves, and made a grove, and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served Baal.	Et, ayant abandonné tous les commandements de l'Éternel leur Dieu, ils se firent des images de fonte, deux veaux; ils firent des emblèmes d'Ashéra, ils se prosternèrent devant toute l'armée des cieux, et ils servirent Baal. 18	Aussi l'Éternel s'est-il fortement irrité contre Israël, et les a-t-il éloignés de sa face. -Il n'est resté que la seule tribu de Juda.	Therefore the LORD was very angry with Israel, and removed them out of his sight: there was none left but the tribe of Judah only.	Aussi l'Éternel s'irrita fort contre les Israélites, et les rejeta de devant sa face. Il ne demeura de reste que la seule tribu de Juda. 19	Juda même n'avait pas gardé les commandements de l'Éternel, son Dieu, et ils avaient suivi les coutumes établies par Israël. -	Also Judah kept not the commandments of the LORD their God, but walked in the statutes of Israel which they made. And the LORD rejected all the seed of Israel, and afflicted them, and delivered them into the hand of spoilers, until he had cast them out of his sight. For he rent Israel from the house of David; and they made Jeroboam the son of Nebat king: and Jeroboam drave Israel from following the LORD, and made them sin a great sin.	Car Israël fit schisme d'avec la maison de David. Ils établirent roi Jéroboam, fils de Nébat, et Jéroboam détourna Israël de suivre l'Éternel; et il leur fit commettre un grand péché. Et Israël a été emmené captif loin de son pays en Assyrie, où il est resté jusqu'à ce jour.	Until the LORD removed Israel out of his sight, as he had said by all his servants the prophets. So was Israel carried away out of their own land to Assyria unto this day.	Tellement qu'à la fin l'Éternel les bannit loin de sa face, selon qu'il en avait parlé par tous ses serviteurs, les prophètes. Et Israël fut transporté de son pays en Assyrie, où il est jusqu'à ce jour.	until Jehovah removed Israel out of his sight, as he spake by all his servants the prophets. So Israel was carried away out of their own land to Assyria unto this day.
24	Le roi d'Assyrie fit venir des gens de Babylone, de Cutha, d'Avva, de Hamath et de Sepharvaïm, et les établit dans les villes de Samarie à la place des enfants d'Israël. Ils prirent possession de Samarie, et ils habitèrent dans ses villes.	And the king of Assyria brought men from Babylon, and from Cuthah, and from Ava, and from Hamath, and from Sepharvaim, and placed them in the cities of Samaria instead of the children of Israel: and they possessed Samaria, and dwelt in the cities thereof.	Alors le roi des Assyriens fit venir des gens de Babylone, de Cutha, d'Avva, de Hamath et de Sépharvaïm, et les établit dans les villes de Samarie, à la place des enfants d'Israël; ils prirent possession de la Samarie, et habitèrent dans ses villes. 25	Lorsqu'ils commencèrent à y habiter, ils ne craignaient pas l'Éternel, et l'Éternel envoya contre eux des lions qui les tuaient.	And so it was at the beginning of their dwelling there, that they feared not the LORD: therefore the LORD sent lions among them, which slew some of them. 26	On dit au roi d'Assyrie : Les nations que tu as transportées et établies dans les villes de Samarie ne connaissent pas la manière de servir le dieu du pays, et il a envoyé contre elles des lions qui les font mourir, parce qu'elles ne connaissent pas la manière de servir le dieu du pays.	Wherefore they spake to the king of Assyria, saying, The nations which thou hast removed, and placed in the cities of Samaria, know not the manner of the God of the land: therefore he hath sent lions among them, and, behold, they slay them, because they know not the manner of the God of the land.	Et on dit au roi des Assyriens: Les nations que tu as transportées et établies dans les villes de la Samarie ne connaissent pas la manière de servir le dieu du pays, et il a envoyé des lions qui les tuent, parce qu'elles ne connaissent pas la manière de servir le dieu du pays. 27	Le roi d'Assyrie donna cet ordre : Faites-y aller l'un des prêtres que vous avez emmenés de là en captivité ; qu'il parte pour s'y établir, et qu'il leur enseigne la manière de servir le dieu du pays.	Then the king of Assyria commanded, saying, Carry thither one of the priests whom ye brought from thence; and let them go and dwell there, and let him teach them the manner of the God of the land.	Alors le roi des Assyriens donna cet ordre: Faites-y aller quelqu'un des sacrificateurs que vous avez amenés captifs; qu'il y aille, qu'il y demeure, et qu'il enseigne la manière de servir le dieu du pays.	Then the king of Assyria commanded, saying, Carry thither one of the priests whom ye brought from thence; and let them go and dwell there, and let him teach them the law of the god of the land.
28	Un des prêtres qui avaient été emmenés captifs de Samarie vint s'établir à Béthel, et leur enseigna comment ils devaient craindre l'Éternel.	Then one of the priests whom they had carried away from Samaria came and dwelt in Bethel, and taught them how they should fear the LORD.	Ainsi l'un des sacrificateurs qu'on avait transportés de Samarie, vint et habita à Béthel; et il leur enseigna comment ils devaient craindre l'Éternel.	So one of the priests whom they had carried away from Samaria came and dwelt in Beth-el, and taught them how they should fear Jehovah.
29	Mais les nations firent chacune leurs dieux dans les villes qu'elles habitaient, et les placèrent dans les maisons des hauts lieux bâties par les Samaritains.	Howbeit every nation made gods of their own, and put them in the houses of the high places which the Samaritans had made, every nation in their cities wherein they dwelt. And the Avites made Nibhaz and Tartak, and the Sepharvites burnt their children in fire to Adrammelech and Anammelech, the gods of Sepharvaim. So they feared the LORD, and made unto themselves of the lowest of them priests of the high places, which sacrificed for them in the houses of the high places.	Ils adoraient aussi l'Éternel. Mais ils établirent pour sacrificateurs des hauts lieux, des gens pris d'entre eux tous, qui sacrifiaient pour eux dans les maisons des hauts lieux.	So they feared Jehovah, and made unto them from among themselves priests of the high places, who sacrificed for them in the houses of the high places.
33	Ainsi ils craignaient l'Éternel, et ils servaient en même temps leurs dieux d'après la coutume des nations d'où on les avait transportés.	They feared the LORD, and served their own gods, after the manner of the nations whom they carried away from thence. 34	Ils suivent encore aujourd'hui leurs premiers usages : ils ne craignent point l'Éternel, et ils ne se conforment ni à leurs lois et à leurs ordonnances, ni à la loi et aux commandements prescrits par l'Éternel aux enfants de Jacob qu'il appela du nom d'Israël.	Unto this day they do after the former manners: they fear not the LORD, neither do they after their statutes, or after their ordinances, or after the law and commandment which the LORD commanded the children of Jacob, whom he named Israel;	Et ils suivent jusqu'à ce jour leurs premières coutumes; ils ne craignent pas l'Éternel; ils ne font ni selon leurs ordonnances et leurs coutumes, ni selon la loi et le commandement que l'Éternel Dieu donna aux enfants de Jacob, qu'il avait nommé Israël.	Unto this day they do after the former manner: they fear not Jehovah, neither do they after their statutes, or after their ordinances, or after the law or after the commandment which Jehovah commanded the children of Jacob, whom he named Israel;
35	L'Éternel avait fait alliance avec eux, et leur avait donné cet ordre : Vous ne craindrez point d'autres dieux ; vous ne vous prosternerez point devant eux, vous ne les servirez point, et vous ne leur offrirez point de sacrifices.	With whom the LORD had made a covenant, and charged them, saying, Ye shall not fear other gods, nor bow yourselves to them, nor serve them, nor sacrifice to them:	Car l'Éternel traita alliance avec eux, et leur donna ce commandement: Vous ne craindrez point d'autres dieux; vous ne vous prosternerez point devant eux; vous ne les servirez point, et vous ne leur sacrifierez point.	with whom Jehovah had made a covenant, and charged them, saying, Ye shall not fear other gods, nor bow yourselves to them, nor serve them, nor sacrifice to them:
36	Mais vous craindrez l'Éternel, qui vous a fait monter du pays d'Égypte avec une grande puissance et à bras étendu ; c'est devant lui que vous vous prosternerez, et c'est à lui que vous offrirez des sacrifices.	But the LORD, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt with great power and a stretched out arm, him shall ye fear, and him shall ye worship, and to him shall ye do sacrifice.	Mais vous craindrez l'Éternel qui vous a fait monter hors du pays d'Égypte par une grande force et à bras étendu. C'est devant lui que vous vous prosternerez; c'est à lui que vous sacrifierez.	but Jehovah, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt with great power and with an outstretched arm, him shall ye fear, and unto him shall ye bow yourselves, and to him shall ye sacrifice:
37	Vous observerez et mettrez toujours en pratique les préceptes, les ordonnances, la loi et les commandements, qu'il a écrits pour vous, et vous ne craindrez point d'autres dieux.	And the statutes, and the ordinances, and the law, and the commandment, which he wrote for you, ye shall observe to do for evermore; and ye shall not fear other gods.	Les statuts, les ordonnances, la loi et les commandements qu'il a écrits pour vous, vous prendrez garde à les pratiquer toujours; et vous ne craindrez pas d'autres dieux.	and the statutes and the ordinances, and the law and the commandment, which he wrote for you, ye shall observe to do for evermore; and ye shall not fear other gods:
38	Vous n'oublierez pas l'alliance que j'ai faite avec vous, et vous ne craindrez point d'autres dieux. 39	Mais vous craindrez l'Éternel, votre Dieu ; et il vous délivrera de la main de tous vos ennemis.	But the LORD your God ye shall fear; and he shall deliver you out of the hand of all your enemies.
