| 15 | And king Ahaz commanded Urijah the priest, saying, Upon the great altar burn the morning burnt offering, and the evening meat offering, and the king's burnt sacrifice, and his meat offering, with the burnt offering of all the people of the land, and their meat offering, and their drink offerings; and sprinkle upon it all the blood of the burnt offering, and all the blood of the sacrifice: and the brasen altar shall be for me to enquire by. | Poi il re Achaz ordinò al sacerdote Uria e disse: Fa' fumare sull'altare grande l'olocausto del mattino e l'oblazione di cibo della sera l'olocausto del re e la sua oblazione di cibo, gli olocausti di tutto il popolo del paese e le sue oblazioni di cibo e le sue libazioni; e spruzzerai su di esso tutto il sangue degli olocausti e tutto il sangue dei sacrifici; all'altare di bronzo provvederò io stesso |
| 16 | Thus did Urijah the priest, according to all that king Ahaz commanded. | Così il sacerdote Uria fece tutto quello che il re Achaz gli aveva comandato. |
| 17 | And king Ahaz cut off the borders of the bases, and removed the laver from off them; and took down the sea from off the brasen oxen that were under it, and put it upon the pavement of stones. | Il re Achaz rimosse pure i pannelli dei carrelli e ne asportò le bacinelle, tolse giù il mare dai buoi di bronzo che lo reggevano e lo posò sopra un pavimento di pietre. |
| 18 | And the covert for the sabbath that they had built in the house, and the king's entry without, turned he from the house of the LORD for the king of Assyria. | A motivo del re di Assiria, egli rimosse il portico del sabato, che avevano costruito nel tempio, e dalla casa dell'Eterno rimosse pure l'ingresso esterno del re. |
| 19 | Now the rest of the acts of Ahaz which he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? | Il resto delle gesta compiute da Achaz non sta forse scritto nel libro delle Cronache dei re di Giuda? |
| 20 | And Ahaz slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David: and Hezekiah his son reigned in his stead. | Così Achaz si addormentò con i suoi padri e fu sepolto con i suoi padri nella città di Davide. Al suo posto regnò suo figlio Ezechia. |
