Do we begin again to commend ourselves? or need we, as some others, epistles of commendation to you, or letters of commendation from you?Are we beginning again to commend ourselves? or need we, as do some, epistles of commendation to you or from you?
Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men:Ye are our epistle, written in our hearts, known and read of all men;Voi siete la nostra lettera, scritta nei nostri cuori, conosciuta e letta da tutti gli uomini,
Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.being made manifest that ye are an epistle of Christ, ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in tables [that are] hearts of flesh.essendo manifesto che voi siete una lettera di Cristo, che è il risultato del nostro ministero scritta non con inchiostro, ma con lo Spirito del Dio vivente, e non su tavole di pietra, ma sulle tavole di un cuore di carne.
And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward:And such confidence have we through Christ to God-ward:Or questa fiducia noi l'abbiamo per mezzo di Cristo presso Dio;
Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;not that we are sufficient of ourselves, to account anything as from ourselves; but our sufficiency is from God;non già che da noi stessi siamo capaci di pensare alcuna cosa come proveniente da noi stessi, ma la nostra capacità viene da Dio,
Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.who also made us sufficient as ministers of a new covenant; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.il quale ci ha anche resi ministri idonei del nuovo patto, non della lettera, ma dello Spirito, poiché la lettera uccide, ma lo Spirito dà vita.
But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away:But if the ministration of death, written, [and] engraven on stones, came with glory, so that the children of Israel could not look stedfastly upon the face of Moses for the glory of his face; which [glory] was passing away:Or se il ministero della morte, che era scolpito in lettere su pietre, fu glorioso tanto che i figli d'Israele non potevano fissare lo sguardo sul volto di Mosè, per la gloria del suo volto che però doveva essere annullata,
How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious?how shall not rather the ministration of the spirit be with glory?quanto più glorioso sarà il ministero dello Spirito?
For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory.For if the ministration of condemnation hath glory, much rather doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory.
For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excelleth.For verily that which hath been made glorious hath not been made glorious in this respect, by reason of the glory that surpasseth.
For if that which is done away was glorious, much more that which remaineth is glorious.For if that which passeth away [was] with glory, much more that which remaineth [is] in glory.
Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech:Having therefore such a hope, we use great boldness of speech,Avendo dunque questa speranza, usiamo una grande franchezza nel parlare,
And not as Moses, which put a vail over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished:and [are] not as Moses, [who] put a veil upon his face, that the children of Israel should not look stedfastly on the end of that which was passing away:e non facciamo come Mosè, che si metteva un velo sul proprio volto, affinché i figli d'Israele non fissassero il loro sguardo sulla fine di ciò che doveva essere annullato.
But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ.but their minds were hardened: for until this very day at the reading of the old covenant the same veil remaineth, it not being revealed [to them] that it is done away in Christ.
But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.But unto this day, whensoever Moses is read, a veil lieth upon their heart.
Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away.But whensoever it shall turn to the Lord, the veil is taken away.
Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.Now the Lord is the Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, [there] is liberty.
But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.But we all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord the Spirit.E noi tutti, contemplando a faccia scoperta come in uno specchio la gloria del Signore, siamo trasformati nella stessa immagine di gloria in gloria, come per lo Spirito del Signore.
