| 10 | And now ye purpose to keep under the children of Judah and Jerusalem for bondmen and bondwomen unto you: but are there not with you, even with you, sins against the LORD your God? | Et maintenant, vous prétendez vous assujettir, pour serviteurs et pour servantes, les enfants de Juda et de Jérusalem! Mais n'est-ce pas vous, surtout, qui êtes coupables envers l'Éternel, votre Dieu? | E ora intendete soggiogare, come vostri schiavi e schiave, i figli e le figlie di Giuda e di Gerusalemme. | 20 | And Tilgathpilneser king of Assyria came unto him, and distressed him, but strengthened him not. | Or Thilgath-Pilnéser, roi d'Assyrie, vint vers lui; mais il l'opprima, bien loin de le fortifier. | Così Tilgath-Pilneser, re d'Assiria venne contro di lui e lo oppresse anziché aiutarlo, |
| 21 | For Ahaz took away a portion out of the house of the LORD, and out of the house of the king, and of the princes, and gave it unto the king of Assyria: but he helped him not. | Car Achaz dépouilla la maison de l'Éternel, la maison du roi et celle des principaux du peuple, pour faire des présents au roi d'Assyrie, mais sans en retirer secours. | anche se Achaz aveva preso una parte dei tesori dalla casa dell'Eterno, dal palazzo del re e dei capi, e aveva dato tutto al re di Assiria; ciò nonostante non gli era giovato nulla. |
| 22 | And in the time of his distress did he trespass yet more against the LORD: this is that king Ahaz. | Et dans le temps de sa détresse, il continua à pécher contre l'Éternel. C'était toujours le roi Achaz. | Anche quando era oppresso, questo re Achaz peccò ancor di più contro l'Eterno. |
| 23 | For he sacrificed unto the gods of Damascus, which smote him: and he said, Because the gods of the kings of Syria help them, therefore will I sacrifice to them, that they may help me. But they were the ruin of him, and of all Israel. | Il sacrifia aux dieux de Damas qui l'avaient frappé, et il dit: Puisque les dieux des rois de Syrie leur viennent en aide, je leur sacrifierai, afin qu'ils me soient en aide. Mais ils furent cause de sa chute et de celle de tout Israël. | Offrì sacrifici agli dèi di Damasco, che lo avevano sconfitto, dicendo: Poiché gli dèi dei re di Siria aiutano quelli, io offrirò loro sacrifici perché aiutino anche me. | 24 | And Ahaz gathered together the vessels of the house of God, and cut in pieces the vessels of the house of God, and shut up the doors of the house of the LORD, and he made him altars in every corner of Jerusalem. | Or Achaz rassembla les vases de la maison de Dieu, et il mit en pièces les vases de la maison de Dieu. | 25 | And in every several city of Judah he made high places to burn incense unto other gods, and provoked to anger the LORD God of his fathers. | Et il fit des hauts lieux dans chaque ville de Juda, pour faire des encensements à d'autres dieux; et il irrita l'Éternel, le Dieu de ses pères. | e in ogni città di Giuda stabilì alti luoghi per bruciare incenso ad altri dèi provocando così ad ira l'Eterno, il DIO dei suoi padri. |
| 26 | Now the rest of his acts and of all his ways, first and last, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel. | Quant au reste de ses actions, et de toutes ses voies, les premières et les dernières, voici, elles sont écrites dans le livre des rois de Juda et d'Israël. | Il resto delle sue gesta e di tutti i suoi modi di agire, dai primi agli ultimi, ecco, sono scritti nel libro dei re di Giuda e d'Israele. |
| 27 | And Ahaz slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city, even in Jerusalem: but they brought him not into the sepulchres of the kings of Israel: and Hezekiah his son reigned in his stead. | Puis Achaz s'endormit avec ses pères, et on l'ensevelit dans la cité, à Jérusalem; car on ne le mit point dans les tombeaux des rois d'Israël; et Ézéchias, son fils, régna à sa place. | Poi Achaz si addormentò con i suoi padri, e lo seppellirono in città, a Gerusalemme, ma non lo vollero mettere nei sepolcri dei re d'Israele.
