Et il fut aussi livré en la main du roi d'Israël, qui lui infligea une grande défaite. | Wherefore the LORD his God delivered him into the hand of the king of Syria; and they smote him, and carried away a great multitude of them captives, and brought them to Damascus. And he was also delivered into the hand of the king of Israel, who smote him with a great slaughter. | Perciò l'Eterno, il suo DIO lo diede nelle mani del re di Siria; essi lo sconfissero e gli presero un gran numero di prigionieri che condussero a Damasco. | 8 | Et les fils d'Israël emmenèrent d'entre leurs frères deux cent mille captifs, femmes, fils, et filles; ils leur enlevèrent aussi un grand butin, et amenèrent le butin à Samarie. | And the children of Israel carried away captive of their brethren two hundred thousand, women, sons, and daughters, and took also away much spoil from them, and brought the spoil to Samaria. | I figli d'Israele condussero prigionieri, tra i loro fratelli, duecentomila donne, figli e figlie, tolsero pure loro un gran bottino, che portarono a Samaria. |
| 9 | Et il y avait là un prophète de l'Éternel, nommé Oded, et il sortit au-devant de l'armée qui revenait à Samarie, et leur dit: Voici, dans son courroux contre ceux de Juda, l'Éternel, le Dieu de vos pères, les a livrés entre vos mains, et vous les avez tués avec une rage qui est parvenue jusqu'aux cieux. | But a prophet of the LORD was there, whose name was Oded: and he went out before the host that came to Samaria, and said unto them, Behold, because the LORD God of your fathers was wroth with Judah, he hath delivered them into your hand, and ye have slain them in a rage that reacheth up unto heaven. | Ma là c'era un profeta dell'Eterno, di nome Obed. | 10 | Et maintenant vous pensez vous assujettir comme serviteurs et servantes les fils de Juda et de Jérusalem! N'avez-vous pas avec vous, ne concernant que vous, des péchés contre l'Éternel, votre Dieu? | And now ye purpose to keep under the children of Judah and Jerusalem for bondmen and bondwomen unto you: but are there not with you, even with you, sins against the LORD your God? | E ora intendete soggiogare, come vostri schiavi e schiave, i figli e le figlie di Giuda e di Gerusalemme. Ma non siete in realtà voi stessi colpevoli davanti all'Eterno il vostro DIO? |
| 11 | Et maintenant, écoutez-moi: renvoyez les captifs que vous avez emmenés captifs d'entre vos frères: car l'ardeur de la colère de l'Éternel est sur vous. | Now hear me therefore, and deliver the captives again, which ye have taken captive of your brethren: for the fierce wrath of the LORD is upon you. | Ascoltatemi dunque e rimandate i prigionieri che avete catturato tra i vostri fratelli perché altrimenti l'ardente ira dell'Eterno cadrà su di voi. |
| 12 | Et des hommes d'entre les chefs des fils d'Éphraïm, Azaria, fils de Jokhanan, Bérékia, fils de Meshillémoth, et Ézéchias, fils de Shallum, et Amasca, fils de Hadlaï, se levèrent contre ceux qui venaient de l'armée, et leur dirent: | Then certain of the heads of the children of Ephraim, Azariah the son of Johanan, Berechiah the son of Meshillemoth, and Jehizkiah the son of Shallum, and Amasa the son of Hadlai, stood up against them that came from the war, | Allora alcuni dei capi dei figli di Efraim, Azariah figlio di Johanan, Berekiah figlio di Mescillemoth, Ezechia figlio di Shallum e Amasa figlio di Hadlai si levarono contro quelli che tornavano dalla guerra, |
| 13 | Vous ne ferez point entrer ici les captifs, car, pour notre culpabilité devant l'Éternel, vous pensez ajouter à nos péchés et à notre crime; car notre crime est grand, et l'ardeur de la colère est sur Israël. | And said unto them, Ye shall not bring in the captives hither: for whereas we have offended against the LORD already, ye intend to add more to our sins and to our trespass: for our trespass is great, and there is fierce wrath against Israel. | e dissero loro: Voi non porterete qui i prigionieri, perché su di noi pesa già una colpa contro l'Eterno; ciò che intendete fare accrescerà i nostri peccati e la nostra colpa, perché la nostra colpa è già grande e un'ira ardente incombe su Israele. |
| 14 | Et les gens armés abandonnèrent les captifs et le butin devant les chefs et devant toute la congrégation. | So the armed men left the captives and the spoil before the princes and all the congregation. | Allora i soldati abbandonarono i prigionieri e il bottino davanti ai capi e a tutta l'assemblea. |
| 15 | Et les hommes qui ont été nommés par leurs noms se levèrent et prirent les captifs, et vêtirent du butin tous ceux d'entre eux qui étaient nus; et ils les vêtirent et les chaussèrent, et leur donnèrent à manger et à boire, et les oignirent; et ils conduisirent sur des ânes tous ceux qui étaient faibles, et les amenèrent à Jéricho, la ville des palmiers, auprès de leurs frères; et ils s'en retournèrent à Samarie. | And the men which were expressed by name rose up, and took the captives, and with the spoil clothed all that were naked among them, and arrayed them, and shod them, and gave them to eat and to drink, and anointed them, and carried all the feeble of them upon asses, and brought them to Jericho, the city of palm trees, to their brethren: then they returned to Samaria. | Quindi alcuni uomini designati per nome si levarono e presero i prigionieri, e con il vestiario del bottino rivestirono tutti quelli di loro che erano nudi; provvidero loro vesti e sandali, diedero loro da mangiare e da bere e li unsero; poi trasportarono tutti i deboli su degli asini e li condussero a Gerico, la città delle palme, presso i loro fratelli, quindi tornarono a Samaria. |

| 18 | Et les Philistins se jetèrent sur les villes du pays plat et du midi de Juda, et prirent Beth-Shémesh, et Ajalon, et Guedéroth, et Soco et les villages de son ressort, et Thimna et les villages de son ressort, et Guimzo et les villages de son ressort; et ils y habitèrent. | The Philistines also had invaded the cities of the low country, and of the south of Judah, and had taken Bethshemesh, and Ajalon, and Gederoth, and Shocho with the villages thereof, and Timnah with the villages thereof, Gimzo also and the villages thereof: and they dwelt there. | I Filistei avevano anche invaso le città della pianura e del Neghev di Giuda e avevano preso Beth-Scemesh Ajalon Ghederoth. | 19 | Car l'Éternel abaissa Juda, à cause d'Achaz, roi d'Israël, car il avait rejeté tout frein en Juda, et avait beaucoup péché contre l'Éternel. | For the LORD brought Judah low because of Ahaz king of Israel; for he made Judah naked, and transgressed sore against the LORD. | L'Eterno infatti aveva umiliato Giuda a motivo di Achaz, re di Israele, perché aveva fomentato il decadimento morale in Giuda e aveva gravemente peccato contro l'Eterno. |
| 20 | Et Tilgath-Pilnéser, roi d'Assyrie, vint contre lui, et le traita en ennemi, et ne le fortifia pas. | And Tilgathpilneser king of Assyria came unto him, and distressed him, but strengthened him not. | Così Tilgath-Pilneser, re d'Assiria venne contro di lui e lo oppresse anziché aiutarlo, |
| 21 | Car Achaz dépouilla la maison de l'Éternel et la maison du roi et des chefs, et donna les dépouilles au roi d'Assyrie, mais il ne lui fut d'aucune aide. | For Ahaz took away a portion out of the house of the LORD, and out of the house of the king, and of the princes, and gave it unto the king of Assyria: but he helped him not. | anche se Achaz aveva preso una parte dei tesori dalla casa dell'Eterno, dal palazzo del re e dei capi, e aveva dato tutto al re di Assiria; ciò nonostante non gli era giovato nulla. |
| 22 | Et au temps de sa détresse, il ajouta aussi à son péché contre l'Éternel, lui, le roi Achaz; | And in the time of his distress did he trespass yet more against the LORD: this is that king Ahaz. | Anche quando era oppresso, questo re Achaz peccò ancor di più contro l'Eterno. |
| 23 | et il sacrifia aux dieux de Damas qui l'avaient frappé, et il dit: Puisque les dieux des rois de Syrie leur sont en aide, le leur sacrifierai, et ils me seront en aide. Et ils furent sa ruine et celle de tout Israël. | For he sacrificed unto the gods of Damascus, which smote him: and he said, Because the gods of the kings of Syria help them, therefore will I sacrifice to them, that they may help me. But they were the ruin of him, and of all Israel. | Offrì sacrifici agli dèi di Damasco, che lo avevano sconfitto, dicendo: Poiché gli dèi dei re di Siria aiutano quelli, io offrirò loro sacrifici perché aiutino anche me. Ma furono proprio loro a provocare la sua rovina e quella di tutto Israele. |
| 24 | Et Achaz rassembla les ustensiles de la maison de Dieu, et mit en pièces les ustensiles de la maison de Dieu; et il ferma les portes de la maison de l'Éternel, et se fit des autels dans tous les coins de Jérusalem. | And Ahaz gathered together the vessels of the house of God, and cut in pieces the vessels of the house of God, and shut up the doors of the house of the LORD, and he made him altars in every corner of Jerusalem. | Achaz radunò gli utensili della casa di DIO, fece a pezzi gli utensili della casa di DIO, chiuse le porte della casa dell'Eterno, si fece degli altari in ogni angolo di Gerusalemme, |
| 25 | Et dans chacune des villes de Juda il fit des hauts lieux pour brûler de l'encens à d'autres dieux; et il provoqua à colère l'Éternel, le Dieu de ses pères. | And in every several city of Judah he made high places to burn incense unto other gods, and provoked to anger the LORD God of his fathers. | e in ogni città di Giuda stabilì alti luoghi per bruciare incenso ad altri dèi provocando così ad ira l'Eterno, il DIO dei suoi padri. |
| 26 | Et le reste de ses actes, et toutes ses voies, les premières et les dernières, voici, il sont écrits dans le livre des rois de Juda et d'Israël. | Now the rest of his acts and of all his ways, first and last, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel. | Il resto delle sue gesta e di tutti i suoi modi di agire, dai primi agli ultimi, ecco, sono scritti nel libro dei re di Giuda e d'Israele. |
| 27 | Et Achaz s'endormit avec ses pères, et on l'enterra dans la ville, à Jérusalem; mais on ne le mit pas dans les sépulcres des rois d'Israël. Et Ézéchias, son fils, régna à sa place. | And Ahaz slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city, even in Jerusalem: but they brought him not into the sepulchres of the kings of Israel: and Hezekiah his son reigned in his stead. | Poi Achaz si addormentò con i suoi padri, e lo seppellirono in città, a Gerusalemme, ma non lo vollero mettere nei sepolcri dei re d'Israele. Al suo posto regnò suo figlio Ezechia. |
