| 7 | Et un homme de Dieu vint à lui, disant: O roi! que l'armée d'Israël ne marche pas avec toi; car l'Éternel n'est pas avec Israël, avec tous les fils d'Éphraïm. | But there came a man of God to him, saying, O king, let not the army of Israel go with thee; for the LORD is not with Israel, to wit, with all the children of Ephraim. | Ma un uomo di DIO venne a lui e gli disse: O re, l'esercito d'Israele non venga con te, perché l'Eterno non è con Israele, né con alcuno dei figli di Efraim! |
| 8 | Que si tu vas, fais-le, fortifie-toi pour la bataille; Dieu te fera tomber devant l'ennemi; car c'est en Dieu qu'est le pouvoir pour aider et pour faire tomber. | But if thou wilt go, do it; be strong for the battle: God shall make thee fall before the enemy: for God hath power to help, and to cast down. | Ma se vuoi andare, va' pure; anche se sarai valoroso in battaglia, DIO ti farà cadere davanti al nemico, perché DIO ha il potere di soccorrere e di far cadere. |
| 9 | Et Amatsia dit à l'homme de Dieu: Mais que faire quant aux cent talents que j'ai donnés à la troupe d'Israël? Et l'homme de Dieu dit: Il appartient à l'Éternel de te donner beaucoup plus que cela. | And Amaziah said to the man of God, But what shall we do for the hundred talents which I have given to the army of Israel? And the man of God answered, The LORD is able to give thee much more than this. | Amatsiah allora disse all'uomo di DIO: Ma che farò dei cento talenti che ho dato all'esercito d'Israele?. L'uomo di DIO rispose: L'Eterno può darti molto più di questo. |
| 10 | Et Amatsia sépara la troupe qui lui était venue d'Éphraïm, afin qu'ils s'en allassent chez eux; et leur colère s'embrasa beaucoup contre Juda, et ils s'en retournèrent chez eux dans une ardente colère. | Then Amaziah separated them, to wit, the army that was come to him out of Ephraim, to go home again: wherefore their anger was greatly kindled against Judah, and they returned home in great anger. | Allora Amatsiah congedò l'esercito che era venuto a lui da Efraim, perché tornasse a casa sua; ma la loro ira si accese grandemente contro Giuda e tornarono a casa fortemente adirati. |
| 11 | Et Amatsia se fortifia, et conduisit son peuple, et s'en alla à la vallée du Sel, et frappa dix mille hommes des fils de Séhir. | And Amaziah strengthened himself, and led forth his people, and went to the valley of salt, and smote of the children of Seir ten thousand. | Amatsiah quindi, fattosi animo, si mise alla testa del suo popolo, andò nella valle del Sale e uccise diecimila uomini di Seir. |
| 12 | Et les fils de Juda emmenèrent captifs dix mille hommes, vivants, et les menèrent sur le sommet d'un rocher, et les précipitèrent du sommet du rocher, et ils furent tous mis en pièces. | And other ten thousand left alive did the children of Judah carry away captive, and brought them unto the top of the rock, and cast them down from the top of the rock, that they all were broken in pieces. | I figli di Giuda ne catturarono vivi altri diecimila e, condottili in cima alla rupe, li precipitarono giù dall'alto della rupe; e tutti si sfracellarono. |
| 13 | Mais ceux de la troupe qu'Amatsia avait renvoyée, afin qu'elle n'allât pas à la guerre avec lui, tombèrent sur les villes de Juda, depuis Samarie jusqu'à Beth-Horon, et y frappèrent trois mille hommes et enlevèrent un grand butin. | But the soldiers of the army which Amaziah sent back, that they should not go with him to battle, fell upon the cities of Judah, from Samaria even unto Bethhoron, and smote three thousand of them, and took much spoil. | Ma gli uomini dell'esercito, che Amatsiah aveva licenziato perché non andassero con lui a combattere, piombarono sulle città di Giuda, da Samaria, fino a Beth-Horon, uccidendo tremila abitanti e portando via un grande bottino. |
| 14 | Et il arriva, après qu'Amatsia fut revenu de la défaite des Édomites, qu'il apporta les dieux des fils de Séhir, et se les établit pour dieux, et se prosterna devant eux et leur brûla de l'encens. | Now it came to pass, after that Amaziah was come from the slaughter of the Edomites, that he brought the gods of the children of Seir, and set them up to be his gods, and bowed down himself before them, and burned incense unto them. | Dopo essere tornato dalla strage degli Edomiti, Amatsiah, si fece portare gli dèi dei figli di Seir, li stabilì come suoi dèi, si prostrò davanti a loro e offerse loro incenso. |
| 15 | Et la colère de l'Éternel s'embrasa contre Amatsia, et il lui envoya un prophète, et il lui dit: Pourquoi recherches-tu les dieux d'un peuple qui n'ont pas délivré leur peuple de ta main? | Wherefore the anger of the LORD was kindled against Amaziah, and he sent unto him a prophet, which said unto him, Why hast thou sought after the gods of the people, which could not deliver their own people out of thine hand? | Per questo l'ira dell'Eterno si accese contro Amatsiah e gli mandò un profeta per dirgli: Perché hai cercato gli dèi di questo popolo, che non sono stati capaci di liberare il loro popolo dalla tua mano?. |
| 16 | Et il arriva, comme il parlait au roi, que celui-ci lui dit: Est-ce qu'on t'a fait conseiller du roi? Désiste-toi. Pourquoi te frapperait-on? Et le prophète se désista, et dit: Je sais que Dieu a résolu de te perdre, parce que tu as fait cela, et que tu n'as pas écouté mon conseil. | And it came to pass, as he talked with him, that the king said unto him, Art thou made of the king's counsel? forbear; why shouldest thou be smitten? Then the prophet forbare, and said, I know that God hath determined to destroy thee, because thou hast done this, and hast not hearkened unto my counsel. | Mentre stava ancora parlando a lui il re gli disse Ti abbiamo forse fatto consigliere del re? Smettila! Perché vorresti essere ucciso?. Allora il profeta smise, ma disse: Io so che DIO ha deciso di distruggerti, perché hai fatto questo e non hai dato ascolto al mio consiglio. |
| 17 | Et Amatsia, roi de Juda, prit conseil, et envoya vers Joas, fils de Joakhaz, fils de Jéhu, roi d'Israël, disant: Viens, voyons-nous face à face. | Then Amaziah king of Judah took advice, and sent to Joash, the son of Jehoahaz, the son of Jehu, king of Israel, saying, Come, let us see one another in the face. | Allora Amatsiah, re di Giuda, dopo essersi consigliato, mandò a dire a Joas, figlio di Jehoahaz, figlio di Jehu, re d'Israele: Vieni, affrontiamoci l'un l'altro in battaglia. |

Et une bête des champs qui est au Liban a passé, et a foulé l'épine. | And Joash king of Israel sent to Amaziah king of Judah, saying, The thistle that was in Lebanon sent to the cedar that was in Lebanon, saying, Give thy daughter to my son to wife: and there passed by a wild beast that was in Lebanon, and trode down the thistle. | Ma Joas, re d'Israele, mandò a dire ad Amatsiah, re di Giuda: La spina del Libano mandò a dire al cedro del Libano: "Da' tua figlia in moglie a mio figlio". | 19 | Tu dis: Voici, tu as frappé Édom! et ton coeur s'est élevé pour que tu te glorifies. Maintenant, reste dans ta maison; pourquoi te mettrais-tu aux prises avec le malheur et tomberais-tu, toi, et Juda avec toi? | Thou sayest, Lo, thou hast smitten the Edomites; and thine heart lifteth thee up to boast: abide now at home; why shouldest thou meddle to thine hurt, that thou shouldest fall, even thou, and Judah with thee? | Tu hai detto: "Ecco, ho sconfitto Edom, e il tuo cuore ti ha inorgoglito fino a farti vantare. Resta a casa tua. Perché vorresti provocare una sciagura, mandando in rovina te e Giuda con te?. |
| 20 | Et Amatsia n'écouta pas; car cela venait de la part de Dieu, afin de les livrer en la main de leurs ennemis, parce qu'ils avaient recherché les dieux d'Édom. | But Amaziah would not hear; for it came of God, that he might deliver them into the hand of their enemies, because they sought after the gods of Edom. | Amatsiah però non gli diede ascolto; la cosa infatti veniva da DIO affinché fossero dati in mano del nemico, perché avevano cercato gli dèi di Edom. |
| 21 | Et Joas, roi d'Israël, monta; et ils se virent face à face, lui et Amatsia, roi de Juda, à Beth-Shémesh, qui est à Juda. | So Joash the king of Israel went up; and they saw one another in the face, both he and Amaziah king of Judah, at Bethshemesh, which belongeth to Judah. | Così Joas, re d'Israele, salì contro Giuda; e lui e Amatsiah, re di Giuda, si affrontarono l'un l'altro a Beth-Scemesh che apparteneva a Giuda. |
| 22 | Et Juda fut battu devant Israël; et ils s'enfuirent, chacun dans sa tente. | And Judah was put to the worse before Israel, and they fled every man to his tent. | Giuda fu sconfitto da Israele, e ognuno fuggì alla propria tenda. |
| 23 | Joas, roi d'Israël, prit Amatsia, roi de Juda, fils de Joas, fils de Joakhaz, à Beth-Shémesh, et l'amena à Jérusalem; et il abattit la muraille de Jérusalem depuis la porte d'Éphraïm jusqu'à la porte du coin, quatre cents coudées, | And Joash the king of Israel took Amaziah king of Judah, the son of Joash, the son of Jehoahaz, at Bethshemesh, and brought him to Jerusalem, and brake down the wall of Jerusalem from the gate of Ephraim to the corner gate, four hundred cubits. | Joas, re d'Israele, a Beth-Scemesh catturò Amatsiah, re di Giuda, figlio di Joas, figlio di Jehoahaz; lo condusse a Gerusalemme e fece una breccia di quattrocento cubiti, nelle mura di Gerusalemme, dalla porta di Efraim alla porta dell'Angolo. |
| 24 | et prit tout l'or et l'argent, et tous les ustensiles qui furent trouvés dans la maison de Dieu, sous la main d'Obed-Édom, et les trésors de la maison du roi, et des otages; et il s'en retourna à Samarie. | And he took all the gold and the silver, and all the vessels that were found in the house of God with Obededom, and the treasures of the king's house, the hostages also, and returned to Samaria. | Prese tutto l'oro e l'argento e tutti gli oggetti che si trovavano nella casa di DIO, affidati a Obed-Edom, i tesori del palazzo reale e alcuni ostaggi, e poi ritornò in Samaria. |

| 26 | Et le reste des actes d'Amatsia, les premiers et les derniers, voici, cela n'est-il pas écrit dans le livre des rois de Juda et d'Israël? | Now the rest of the acts of Amaziah, first and last, behold, are they not written in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel? | Il resto delle gesta di Amatsiah, dalle prime alle ultime, non si trova forse scritto nel libro dei re di Giuda e d'Israele? |
| 27 | Et, depuis le temps où Amatsia se fut détourné de l'Éternel, on fit une conspiration contre lui à Jérusalem, et il s'enfuit à Lakis; et on envoya après lui à Lakis, et là on le mit à mort. | Now after the time that Amaziah did turn away from following the LORD they made a conspiracy against him in Jerusalem; and he fled to Lachish: but they sent to Lachish after him, and slew him there. | Dopo che Amatsiah si era allontanato dall'Eterno, fu ordita contro di lui una congiura a Gerusalemme; egli fuggì a Lakish, ma lo fecero inseguire fino a Lakish e là lo uccisero. |
