| 5 | Le roi d'Israël assembla les prophètes, au nombre de quatre cents, et leur dit : Irons-nous attaquer Ramoth en Galaad, ou dois-je y renoncer ? Et ils répondirent : Monte, et Dieu la livrera entre les mains du roi. | Therefore the king of Israel gathered together of prophets four hundred men, and said unto them, Shall we go to Ramothgilead to battle, or shall I forbear? And they said, Go up; for God will deliver it into the king's hand. | Et le Roi d'Israël assembla quatre cents Prophètes, auxquels il dit: Irons nous à la guerre contre Ramoth de Galaad, ou m'en désisterai je? | 7 | Le roi d'Israël répondit à Josaphat : Il y a encore un homme par qui l'on pourrait consulter l'Éternel ; mais je le hais, car il ne me prophétise rien de bon, il ne prophétise jamais que du mal : c'est Michée, fils de Jimla. Et Josaphat dit : Que le roi ne parle pas ainsi ! | And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, There is yet one man, by whom we may enquire of the LORD: but I hate him; for he never prophesied good unto me, but always evil: the same is Micaiah the son of Imla. And Jehoshaphat said, Let not the king say so. | Et le Roi d'Israël dit à Josaphat: Il y a encore un homme par lequel on peut s'enquérir de l'Eternel, mais je le hais, parce qu'il ne prophétise rien de bon, quand il est question de moi, mais toujours du mal; c'est Michée fils de Jimla. Et tous les prophètes prophétisaient devant eux. | And the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat king of Judah sat either of them on his throne, clothed in their robes, and they sat in a void place at the entering in of the gate of Samaria; and all the prophets prophesied before them. | Or le Roi d'Israël et Josaphat Roi de Juda, étaient assis chacun sur son trône, revêtus de leurs habits; ils étaient assis en la place vers l'entrée de la porte de Samarie, et tous les Prophètes prophétisaient en leur présence. |
| 10 | Sédécias, fils de Kenaana, s'était fait des cornes de fer, et il dit : Ainsi parle l'Éternel : Avec ces cornes, tu frapperas les Syriens jusqu'à les détruire. | And Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah had made him horns of iron, and said, Thus saith the LORD, With these thou shalt push Syria until they be consumed. | Alors Tsidkija fils de Kénahana s'étant fait des cornes de fer, dit: Ainsi a dit l'Eternel, tu heurteras avec ces cornes les Syriens, jusqu'à les détruire entièrement. |
| 11 | Et tous les prophètes prophétisèrent de même, en disant : Monte à Ramoth en Galaad ! tu auras du succès, et l'Éternel la livrera entre les mains du roi. | And all the prophets prophesied so, saying, Go up to Ramothgilead, and prosper: for the LORD shall deliver it into the hand of the king. | Et tous les Prophètes prophétisaient la même chose, en disant: Monte à Ramoth de Galaad, et tu prospéreras, et l'Eternel la livrera entre les mains du Roi. |
| 12 | Le messager qui était allé appeler Michée lui parla ainsi : Voici, les prophètes d'un commun accord prophétisent du bien au roi ; que ta parole soit donc comme la parole de chacun d'eux ! annonce du bien ! | And the messenger that went to call Micaiah spake to him, saying, Behold, the words of the prophets declare good to the king with one assent; let thy word therefore, I pray thee, be like one of their's, and speak thou good. | Or le messager qui était allé appeler Michée, lui parla, en disant: Voici, les Prophètes prédisent tous d'une voix du bonheur au Roi, je te prie donc que ta parole soit semblable à celle de l'un d'eux, et prophétise lui du bonheur. |

| 14 | Lorsqu'il fut arrivé auprès du roi, le roi lui dit : Michée, irons-nous attaquer Ramoth en Galaad, ou dois-je y renoncer ? Il répondit : Montez ! vous aurez du succès, et ils seront livrés entre vos mains. | And when he was come to the king, the king said unto him, Micaiah, shall we go to Ramothgilead to battle, or shall I forbear? And he said, Go ye up, and prosper, and they shall be delivered into your hand. | Il vint donc vers le Roi; et le Roi lui dit: Michée, irons nous à la guerre contre Ramoth de Galaad, ou m'en désisterai je? Et il répondit: Montez, et vous prospérerez, et ils seront livrés entre vos mains. |

| 16 | Michée répondit : Je vois tout Israël dispersé sur les montagnes, comme des brebis qui n'ont point de berger ; et l'Éternel dit : Ces gens n'ont point de maître, que chacun retourne en paix dans sa maison ! | Then he said, I did see all Israel scattered upon the mountains, as sheep that have no shepherd: and the LORD said, These have no master; let them return therefore every man to his house in peace. | Et Michée répondit: J'ai vu tout Israël dispersé par les montagnes, comme un troupeau de brebis qui n'a point de pasteur; et l'Eternel a dit: Ceux ci sont sans Seigneurs; que chacun s'en retourne dans sa maison en paix. |
| 17 | Le roi d'Israël dit à Josaphat : Ne te l'ai-je pas dit ? Il ne prophétise sur moi rien de bon, il ne prophétise que du mal. | And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, Did I not tell thee that he would not prophesy good unto me, but evil? | Alors le Roi d'Israël dit à Josaphat: Ne t'ai je pas bien dit qu'il ne prophétise rien de bon, quand il est question de moi, mais du mal? |
| 18 | Et Michée dit : Écoutez donc la parole de l'Éternel ! J'ai vu l'Éternel assis sur son trône, et toute l'armée des cieux se tenant à sa droite et à sa gauche. | Again he said, Therefore hear the word of the LORD; I saw the LORD sitting upon his throne, and all the host of heaven standing on his right hand and on his left. | Et Michée dit: Ecoutez pourtant la parole de l'Eternel. J'ai vu l'Eternel assis sur son trône, et toute l'armée des cieux se tenant à sa droite et à sa gauche. |
| 19 | Et l'Éternel dit : Qui séduira Achab, roi d'Israël, pour qu'il monte à Ramoth en Galaad et qu'il y périsse ? Ils répondirent l'un d'une manière, l'autre d'une autre. | And the LORD said, Who shall entice Ahab king of Israel, that he may go up and fall at Ramothgilead? And one spake saying after this manner, and another saying after that manner. | Et l'Eternel a dit: Qui est ce qui induira Achab Roi d'Israël à monter, afin qu'il tombe en Ramoth de Galaad? et il ajouta: L'un dit d'une manière, et l'autre d'une autre. |
| 20 | Et un esprit vint se présenter devant l'Éternel, et dit : Moi, je le séduirai. | Then there came out a spirit, and stood before the LORD, and said, I will entice him. And the LORD said unto him, Wherewith? | Alors un esprit s'avança, et se tint devant l'Eternel, et dit: Je l'y induirai. Et l'Eternel lui dit: Comment? |
| 21 | L'Éternel lui dit : Comment ? Je sortirai, répondit-il, et je serai un esprit de mensonge dans la bouche de tous ses prophètes. L'Éternel dit : Tu le séduiras, et tu en viendras à bout ; sors, et fais ainsi. | And he said, I will go out, and be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And the Lord said, Thou shalt entice him, and thou shalt also prevail: go out, and do even so. | Et il répondit: Je sortirai et je serai un esprit de mensonge en la bouche de tous ses Prophètes. Et l'Eternel dit: Oui tu l'induiras, et même tu en viendras à bout, sors et fais le ainsi. |
| 22 | Et maintenant, voici, l'Éternel a mis un esprit de mensonge dans la bouche de tes prophètes qui sont là. Et l'Éternel a prononcé du mal contre toi. | Now therefore, behold, the LORD hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of these thy prophets, and the LORD hath spoken evil against thee. | Maintenant donc voici, l'Eternel a mis un esprit de mensonge dans la bouche de tes Prophètes, et l'Eternel a prononcé du mal contre toi. |
| 23 | Alors Sédécias, fils de Kenaana, s'étant approché, frappa Michée sur la joue, et dit : Par quel chemin l'esprit de l'Éternel est-il sorti de moi pour te parler ? | Then Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah came near, and smote Micaiah upon the cheek, and said, Which way went the Spirit of the LORD from me to speak unto thee? | Alors Tsidkija fils de Kénahana s'approcha, et frappa Michée sur la joue, et lui dit: Par quel chemin l'esprit de l'Eternel s'est il retiré de moi pour te parler? |
| 24 | Michée répondit : Tu le verras au jour où tu iras de chambre en chambre pour te cacher. | And Micaiah said, Behold, thou shalt see on that day when thou shalt go into an inner chamber to hide thyself. | Et Michée répondit: Voici, tu le verras le jour que tu iras de chambre en chambre pour te cacher. |
| 25 | Le roi d'Israël dit : Prenez Michée et emmenez-le vers Amon, chef de la ville, et vers Joas, fils du roi. | Then the king of Israel said, Take ye Micaiah, and carry him back to Amon the governor of the city, and to Joash the king's son; | Alors le Roi d'Israël dit: Qu'on prenne Michée, et qu'on le mène à Amon, capitaine de la ville, et vers Joas fils du Roi; |
| 26 | Vous direz : Ainsi parle le roi : Mettez cet homme en prison, et nourrissez-le du pain et de l'eau d'affliction, jusqu'à ce que je revienne en paix. | And say, Thus saith the king, Put this fellow in the prison, and feed him with bread of affliction and with water of affliction, until I return in peace. | Et qu'on leur dise: Ainsi a dit le Roi: Mettez cet homme en prison, et ne lui donnez qu'un peu de pain à manger et un peu d'eau à boire, jusqu'à ce que je retourne en paix. |
| 27 | Et Michée dit : Si tu reviens en paix, l'Éternel n'a point parlé par moi. Il dit encore : Vous tous, peuples, entendez ! | And Micaiah said, If thou certainly return in peace, then hath not the LORD spoken by me. And he said, Hearken, all ye people. | Et Michée répondit: Si jamais tu retournes en paix, l'Eternel n'aura point parlé par moi. Il dit encore: Entendez cela peuples, vous tous qui êtes ici. |
| 28 | Le roi d'Israël et Josaphat, roi de Juda, montèrent à Ramoth en Galaad. | So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah went up to Ramothgilead. | Le Roi d'Israël donc monta avec Josaphat Roi de Juda, contre Ramoth de Galaad. |
| 29 | Le roi d'Israël dit à Josaphat : Je veux me déguiser pour aller au combat ; mais toi, revêts-toi de tes habits. Et le roi d'Israël se déguisa, et ils allèrent au combat. | And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, I will disguise myself, and I will go to the battle; but put thou on thy robes. So the king of Israel disguised himself; and they went to the battle. | Et le Roi d'Israël dit à Josaphat: Que je me déguise, et que j'aille à la bataille; mais toi, vêts toi de tes habits. Le Roi d'Israël donc se déguisa, et ils allèrent ainsi à la bataille. |
| 30 | Le roi de Syrie avait donné cet ordre aux chefs de ses chars : Vous n'attaquerez ni petit ni grand, mais vous attaquerez seulement le roi d'Israël. | Now the king of Syria had commanded the captains of the chariots that were with him, saying, Fight ye not with small or great, save only with the king of Israel. | Or le Roi des Syriens avait commandé aux capitaines de ses chariots, en disant: Vous ne combattrez contre personne que contre le Roi d'Israël. |
| 31 | Quand les chefs des chars aperçurent Josaphat, ils dirent : C'est le roi d'Israël. Et ils l'entourèrent pour l'attaquer. Josaphat poussa un cri, et l'Éternel le secourut, et Dieu les écarta de lui. | And it came to pass, when the captains of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat, that they said, It is the king of Israel. Therefore they compassed about him to fight: but Jehoshaphat cried out, and the LORD helped him; and God moved them to depart from him. | Il arriva donc qu'aussitôt que les capitaines des chariots eurent vu Josaphat, ils dirent: C'est ici le Roi d'Israël; et ils l'environnèrent pour le combattre. Mais Josaphat s'écria, et l'Eternel le secourut; et Dieu les porta à s'éloigner de lui. |
| 32 | Les chefs des chars, voyant que ce n'était pas le roi d'Israël, s'éloignèrent de lui. | For it came to pass, that, when the captains of the chariots perceived that it was not the king of Israel, they turned back again from pursuing him. | Or dès que les capitaines des chariots eurent vu que ce n'était point le Roi d'Israël, ils se détournèrent de lui. |

Le roi dit à celui qui dirigeait son char : Tourne, et fais-moi sortir du champ de bataille, car je suis blessé. | And a certain man drew a bow at a venture, and smote the king of Israel between the joints of the harness: therefore he said to his chariot man, Turn thine hand, that thou mayest carry me out of the host; for I am wounded. | Alors quelqu'un tira de son arc de toute sa force; et il frappa le Roi d'Israël entre les tassettes et le harnois; et le Roi dit à son cocher: Tourne ta main, et mène moi hors du camp; car on m'a fort blessé. |

Le roi d'Israël fut retenu dans son char, en face des Syriens, jusqu'au soir, et il mourut vers le coucher du soleil. | And the battle increased that day: howbeit the king of Israel stayed himself up in his chariot against the Syrians until the even: and about the time of the sun going down he died. | Il y eut en ce jour là un très rude combat, et le Roi d'Israël demeura dans son chariot, vis à vis des Syriens, jusqu'au soir, et il mourut vers le temps que le soleil se couchait. |
