And Ahab killed sheep and oxen for him in abundance, and for the people that were with him, and moved him to go up [with him] to Ramoth-gilead. |

| 5 | Et le roi d'Israël rassembla les prophètes, quatre cents hommes, et leur dit: Irons-nous à la guerre contre Ramoth de Galaad, ou m'en abstiendrai-je? Et ils dirent: Monte; et Dieu la livrera en la main du roi. | Le roi d'Israël convoqua les prophètes, au nombre de quatre cents, et leur dit : "Irons-nous attaquer Ramoth-en-Galaad, ou m'en abstiendrai-je ?"Ils répondirent : "Monte, et Dieu la livrera entre les mains du roi." | Then the king of Israel gathered the prophets together, four hundred men, and said unto them, Shall we go to Ramoth-gilead to battle, or shall I forbear? And they said, Go up; for God will deliver it into the hand of the king. |

| 7 | Et le roi d'Israël dit à Josaphat: Il y a encore un homme, pour consulter l'Éternel par lui; mais je le hais, car il ne prophétise pas du bien à mon égard, mais toujours du mal; c'est Michée, fils de Jimla. Et Josaphat dit: Que le roi ne parle pas ainsi! | Le roi d'Israël répondit à Josaphat : "Il y a encore un homme par qui l'on pourrait consulter Yahweh; mais je le hais, car il ne prophétise sur moi rien de bon, mais toujours du mal : c'est Michée, fils de Jemia."Et Josaphat dit : "Que le roi ne parle plus ainsi!" | And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, There is yet one man by whom we may inquire of Jehovah: but I hate him; for he never prophesieth good concerning me, but always evil: the same is Micaiah the son of Imla. And Jehoshaphat said, Let not the king say so. |

| 10 | Et Sédécias, fils de Kenaana, se fit des cornes de fer, et dit: Ainsi dit l'Éternel: Avec celles-ci tu heurteras les Syriens jusqu'à les exterminer. | Sédécias, fils de Chanaana, s'était fait des cornes de fer, et il dit : "Ainsi dit Yahweh : Avec ces cornes tu frapperas les Syriens jusqu'à les exterminer." | And Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah made him horns of iron, and said, Thus saith Jehovah, With these shalt thou push the Syrians, until they be consumed. |
| 11 | Et tous les prophètes prophétisaient de même, disant: Monte à Ramoth de Galaad, et prospère; et l'Éternel la livrera en la main du roi. | Et tous les prophètes prophétisaient de même, en disant : "Monte à Ramoth-en-Galaad et sois vainqueur, car Yahweh là livrera entre les mains du roi !" | And all the prophets prophesied so, saying, Go up to Ramoth-gilead, and prosper; for Jehovah will deliver it into the hand of the king. |
| 12 | Et le messager qui était allé pour appeler Michée lui parla, disant: Voici, les paroles des prophètes, d'une seule bouche, annoncent du bien au roi; que ta parole donc soit, je te prie, comme celle de l'un d'eux, et annonce du bien. | Le messager qui était allé appeler Michée lui parla en ces termes : "Voici que les paroles des prophètes sont unanimes pour annoncer du bien au roi ; que ta parole soit donc conforme à celle de chacun d'eux : annonce du bien !"Michée répondit : | And the messenger that went to call Micaiah spake to him, saying, Behold, the words of the prophets [declare] good to the king with one mouth: let thy word therefore, I pray thee, be like one of theirs, and speak thou good. |

| 14 | Et il vint vers le roi. Et le roi lui dit: Michée, irons-nous à la guerre à Ramoth de Galaad, ou m'en abstiendrai-je? Et il dit: Montez et prospérez; et ils seront livrés entre vos mains. | Lorsqu'il fut arrivé près du roi, le roi lui dit : "Michée, irons-nous attaquer Ramoth-en-Galaad, ne m'en abstiendrai-je ?"Il répondit : "Montez, et soyez vainqueurs ! car ils sont livrés entre vos mains." | And when he was come to the king, the king said unto him, Micaiah, shall we go to Ramoth-gilead to battle, or shall I forbear? And he said, Go ye up, and prosper; and they shall be delivered into your hand. |
| 15 | Et le roi lui dit: Combien de fois t'adjurerai-je de ne me dire que la vérité au nom de l'Éternel? | Et le roi lui dit : "Jusqu'à combien de fois t'adjurerai-je de ne me dire que la vérité au nom de Yahweh ?" | And the king said to him, How many times shall I adjure thee that thou speak unto me nothing but the truth in the name of Jehovah? |
| 16 | Et Michée dit: J'ai vu tout Israël dispersé sur les montagnes comme un troupeau qui n'a pas de berger; et l'Éternel a dit: Ceux-ci n'ont pas de seigneur; qu'ils s'en retournent en paix chacun à sa maison. | Michée répondit : "Je vois tout Israël dispersé sur les montagnes, comme les brebis qui m'ont pas de berger; et Yahweh dit : Ces gens n'ont pas de maître : qu'ils retournent en paix, chacun dans sa maison." | And he said, I saw all Israel scattered upon the mountains, as sheep that have no shepherd: and Jehovah said, These have no master; let them return every man to his house in peace. |
| 17 | Et le roi d'Israël dit à Josaphat: Ne t'ai-je pas dit qu'il ne prophétise pas du bien à mon égard, mais du mal? | Le roi d'Israël dit à Josaphat : "Ne le l'ai-je pas dit ? Il me prophétise sur moi rien de bon, mais seulement du mal." | And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, Did I not tell thee that he would not prophesy good concerning me, but evil? |
| 18 | Et Michée dit: C'est pourquoi, écoutez la parole de l'Éternel. J'ai vu l'Éternel assis sur son trône, et toute l'armée des cieux se tenant à sa droite et à sa gauche; | Michée dit : "Ecoutez donc la parole de Yahweh! J'ai vu Yahweh assis sur son trône et toute l'armée du ciel se tenait à sa droite et à sa gauche. | And [Micaiah] said, Therefore hear ye the word of Jehovah: I saw Jehovah sitting upon his throne, and all the host of heaven standing on his right hand and on his left. |
| 19 | et l'Éternel dit: Qui persuadera Achab, roi d'Israël, afin qu'il monte et qu'il tombe à Ramoth de Galaad? Et on parla, celui-ci disant ainsi, et celui-là disant ainsi. | Et Yahweh dit : "Qui trompera Achab, roi d'Israël, pour qu'il monte à Ramoth-en-Galaad et qu'il y périsse ? Ils répondirent l'un d'une manière, l'autre d'une autre. | And Jehovah said, Who shall entice Ahab king of Israel, that he may go up and fall at Ramoth-gilead? And one spake saying after this manner, and another saying after that manner. |
| 20 | Et un esprit sortit, et se tint devant l'Éternel, et dit: Moi, je le persuaderai. Et l'Éternel lui dit: Comment? | Alors l'esprit vint se tenir devant Yahweh et dit : Moi, je le tromperai. | And there came forth a spirit, and stood before Jehovah, and said, I will entice him. And Jehovah said unto him, Wherewith? |
| 21 | Et il dit: Je sortirai, et je serai un esprit de mensonge dans la bouche de tous ses prophètes. Et l'Éternel dit: Tu le persuaderas, et aussi tu réussiras: sors, et fais ainsi. | Yahweh lui dit : Comment ? Il répondit : Je sortirai et je serai un esprit de mensonge dans la bouche de tous ses prophètes. Yahweh lui dit : Tu le tromperas, et tu en viendras il bout ; sors et fais ainsi ! | And he said, I will go forth, and will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And he said, Thou shalt entice him, and shalt prevail also: go forth, and do so. |
| 22 | Et maintenant, voici, l'Éternel a mis un esprit de mensonge dans la bouche de tes prophètes que voilà, et l'Éternel a prononcé du mal à ton sujet. | Voici donc que Yahweh a mis un esprit de mensonge dans la bouche de tes prophètes qui sont là. Et Yahweh a prononcé du mal sur toi." | Now therefore, behold, Jehovah hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of these thy prophets; and Jehovah hath spoken evil concerning thee. |
| 23 | Et Sédécias, fils de Kenaana, s'approcha et frappa Michée sur la joue, et dit: Par quel chemin a passé l'Esprit de l'Éternel, d'avec moi, pour te parler? | Mais Sédécias, fils de Chanaana, s'étant approché, frappa Michée sur la joue, et dit : "Par quel chemin l'esprit de Yahweh est-il sorti de moi pour te parler ?" | Then Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah came near, and smote Micaiah upon the cheek, and said, Which way went the Spirit of Jehovah from me to speak unto thee? |
| 24 | Et Michée dit: Voici, tu le verras ce jour-là, quand tu iras de chambre en chambre pour te cacher. | Michée répondit : "Voici que tu le verras en ce jour-là où tu iras de chambre en chambre pour te cacher." | And Micaiah said, Behold, thou shalt see on that day, when thou shalt go into an inner chamber to hide thyself. |
| 25 | Et le roi d'Israël dit: Prenez Michée, et emmenez-le à Amon, chef de la ville, et à Joas, fils de roi; | Le roi d'Israël dit : "Prenez Michée, et amenez-le à Amon, gouverneur de la ville, et à Joas, fils du roi. | And the king of Israel said, Take ye Micaiah, and carry him back unto Amon the governor of the city, and to Joash the king`s son; |
| 26 | et vous direz: Ainsi dit le roi: Mettez cet homme en prison, et donnez-lui à manger le pain d'affliction et l'eau d'affliction, jusqu'à ce que je revienne en paix. | Vous leur direz : Ainsi dit le roi : Mettez cet homme en prison et nourrissez-le du pain d'affliction et de l'eau d'affliction, | and say, Thus saith the king, Put this fellow in the prison, and feed him with bread of affliction and with water of affliction, until I return in peace. |
| 27 | Et Michée dit: Si jamais tu reviens en paix, l'Éternel n'a point parlé par moi. Et il dit: Peuples, entendez-le tous! | jusqu'à ce que je revienne en paix."Et Michée dit : "Si vraiment tu reviens en paix, Yahweh n'a point parlé par moi."Il ajouta : "Entendez, vous tous, peuples!" | And Micaiah said, If thou return at all in peace, Jehovah hath not spoken by me. And he said, Hear, ye peoples, all of you. |
| 28 | Et le roi d'Israël monta, et Josaphat, roi de Juda, à Ramoth de Galaad. | Le roi d'Israël et Josaphat, roi de Juda, montèrent à Ramoth-en-Galaad. | So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah went up to Ramoth-gilead. |
| 29 | Et le roi d'Israël dit à Josaphat: Je me déguiserai, et j'irai à la bataille; mais toi, revêts-toi de tes robes. Et le roi d'Israël se déguisa, et ils allèrent à la bataille. | Le roi d'Israël dit à Josaphat : "Je veux me déguiser pour aller au combat; mais toi, revêts-toi de tes habits."Et le roi d'Israël - se déguisa, et ils allèrent au combat. | And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, I will disguise myself, and go into the battle; but put thou on thy robes. So the king of Israel disguised himself; and they went into the battle. |
| 30 | Et le roi de Syrie commanda aux chefs de ses chars, disant: Ne combattez ni contre petit, ni contre grand, mais contre le roi d'Israël seul. | Le roi de Syrie avait donné un ordre aux chefs de ses chars, en ces termes : "Vous n'attaquerez ni petit ni grand, mais seulement le roi d'Israël." | Now the king of Syria had commanded the captains of his chariots, saying, Fight neither with small nor great, save only with the king of Israel. |
| 31 | Et il arriva que, quand les chefs des chars virent Josaphat, il dirent: C'est le roi d'Israël. Et ils l'entourèrent pour combattre contre lui. Et Josaphat cria, et l'Éternel le secourut; et Dieu les porta à s'éloigner de lui. | Quand les chefs des chars virent Josaphat, ils dirent : "C'est le roi d'Israël; et ils l'entourèrent pour l'attaquer. Josaphat poussa un cri et Yahweh le secourut, et Dieu attira d'auprès de lui les Syriens. | And it came to pass, when the captains of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat, that they said, It is the king of Israel. Therefore they turned about to fight against him: but Jehoshaphat cried out, and Jehovah helped him; and God moved them [to depart] from him. |
| 32 | Et il arriva que, lorsque les chefs des chars virent que ce n'était pas le roi d'Israël, il s'en revinrent de sa poursuite. | Quand les chefs des chars virent que ce n'était pas le roi d'Israël, ils se détournèrent de lui. | And it came to pass, when the captains of the chariots saw that it was not the king of Israel, that they turned back from pursuing him. |
| 33 | Et un homme tira de l'arc à l'aventure et frappa le roi d'Israël entre les pièces d'attache et la cuirasse; et Achab dit au conducteur du char: Tourne ta main, et mène-moi hors de l'armée, car je suis blessé. | Alors un homme tira de son arc au hasard et atteignit le roi d'Israël entre les jointures et la cuirasse. Le roi dit à celui qui conduisait le char "Tourne, et fais-moi sortir du camp, car je suis blessé." | And a certain man drew his bow at a venture, and smote the king of Israel between the joints of the armor: wherefore he said to the driver of the chariot, Turn thy hand, and carry me out of the host; for I am sore wounded. |
| 34 | Et la bataille se renforça ce jour-là, et le roi d'Israël se soutint sur son char, vis-à-vis des Syriens, jusqu'au soir; et il mourut vers le temps où le soleil se couchait. | Le combat devient violent ce jour-là. Le roi d'Israël était tenu debout sur son char en face des Syriens, jusqu'au soir, où il mourut vers le coucher du soleil. | And the battle increased that day: howbeit the king of Israel stayed himself up in his chariot against the Syrians until the even; and about the time of the going down of the sun he died. |
