| 8 | And when Asa heard these words, and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage, and put away the abominable idols out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the cities which he had taken from mount Ephraim, and renewed the altar of the LORD, that was before the porch of the LORD. | Quand Asa eut entendu ces paroles et la prophétie d'Oded, le prophète, il se fortifia, et fit disparaître les abominations de tout le pays de Juda et de Benjamin, et des villes qu'il avait prises dans la montagne d'Éphraïm; et il rétablit l'autel de l'Éternel, qui était devant le portique de l'Éternel. | Quando Asa ebbe udito queste parole e la profezia del profeta Oded, prese coraggio e rimosse gli idoli abominevoli da tutto il paese di Giuda e di Beniamino e dalle città che aveva espugnato nella regione montuosa di Efraim, e riparò l'altare dell'Eterno che si trovava davanti all'atrio dell'Eterno. |
| 9 | And he gathered all Judah and Benjamin, and the strangers with them out of Ephraim and Manasseh, and out of Simeon: for they fell to him out of Israel in abundance, when they saw that the LORD his God was with him. | Puis il rassembla tout Juda et Benjamin, et ceux d'Éphraïm, de Manassé et de Siméon, qui demeuraient avec eux; car un grand nombre de gens d'Israël passaient à lui, voyant que l'Éternel son Dieu était avec lui. | Quindi radunò tutto Giuda e Beniamino e quelli di Efraim, di Manasse e di Simeone che risiedevano con loro infatti erano venuti a lui in gran numero da Israele, quando avevano visto che l'Eterno, il suo DIO, era con lui. |
| 10 | So they gathered themselves together at Jerusalem in the third month, in the fifteenth year of the reign of Asa. | Ils s'assemblèrent donc à Jérusalem, le troisième mois de la quinzième année du règne d'Asa; | Così si radunarono a Gerusalemme nel terzo mese del quindicesimo anno del regno di Asa. |
| 11 | And they offered unto the LORD the same time, of the spoil which they had brought, seven hundred oxen and seven thousand sheep. | Et ils sacrifièrent, ce jour-là, à l'Éternel, sept cents boeufs et sept mille brebis, du butin qu'ils avaient amené. | In quel tempo sacrificarono all'Eterno, dal bottino che avevano preso, settecento buoi e settemila pecore. |
| 12 | And they entered into a covenant to seek the LORD God of their fathers with all their heart and with all their soul; | Et ils rentrèrent dans l'alliance, pour chercher l'Éternel, le Dieu de leurs pères, de tout leur coeur et de toute leur âme; | Si impegnarono quindi con un patto a cercare l'Eterno, il DIO dei loro padri, con tutto il loro cuore e con tutta la loro anima. |
| 13 | That whosoever would not seek the LORD God of Israel should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman. | En sorte qu'on devait faire mourir tous ceux qui ne rechercheraient pas l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël, tant les petits que les grands, tant les hommes que les femmes. | Chiunque non avesse cercato l'Eterno, il DIO d'Israele, sarebbe stato messo a morte, grande o piccolo che fosse, uomo o donna. |
| 14 | And they sware unto the LORD with a loud voice, and with shouting, and with trumpets, and with cornets. | Et ils prêtèrent serment à l'Éternel, à haute voix, avec acclamation, et au son des trompettes et des cors; | Inoltre fecero un giuramento all'Eterno a gran voce e con grida di giubilo, al suono delle trombe e dei corni. |
| 15 | And all Judah rejoiced at the oath: for they had sworn with all their heart, and sought him with their whole desire; and he was found of them: and the LORD gave them rest round about. | Et tout Juda se réjouit de ce serment, parce qu'ils avaient juré de tout leur coeur, et qu'ils avaient recherché l'Éternel de leur plein gré, et qu'ils l'avaient trouvé. Et l'Éternel leur donna du repos de tous côtés. | Tutto Giuda si rallegrò del giuramento, perché avevano giurato con tutto il loro cuore e avevano cercato l'Eterno con tutta la loro volontà, ed egli si era lasciato trovare da loro. Così l'Eterno diede loro riposo tutt'intorno. |
| 16 | And also concerning Maachah the mother of Asa the king, he removed her from being queen, because she had made an idol in a grove: and Asa cut down her idol, and stamped it, and burnt it at the brook Kidron. | Le roi Asa destitua même de son rang sa mère, Maaca, parce qu'elle avait fait une idole pour Ashéra. Asa abattit son idole, la mit en pièces, et la brûla au torrent de Cédron. | Egli destituì persino Maakah, madre del re Asa, dalla sua posizione di regina, perché essa aveva fatto un'immagine abominevole di Ascerah.
