| 7 | Et ils lui parlèrent, disant: Si tu es bon envers ce peuple, et si tu es affable envers eux, et si tu leur dis de bonnes paroles, ils seront tes serviteurs à toujours. | And they spake unto him, saying, If thou be kind to this people, and please them, and speak good words to them, then they will be thy servants for ever. | Essi gli parlarono, dicendo: Se ti mostri benevolo verso questo popolo e li accontenti, dando loro una risposta favorevole, essi saranno tuoi servi per sempre. |

| 10 | Et les jeunes gens qui avaient grandi avec lui, lui parlèrent, disant: Tu diras ainsi au peuple qui t'a parlé, disant: Ton père a rendu pesant notre joug; toi, allège-le de dessus nous; - tu leur diras ainsi: Mon petit doigt est plus gros que les reins de mon père; | And the young men that were grown up with him spake unto him, saying, Thus shalt thou say unto the people that spake unto thee, saying, Thy father made our yoke heavy, but make thou it lighter unto us; thus shalt thou say unto them, My little finger is thicker than my father`s loins. | Allora i giovani che erano cresciuti con lui gli parlarono, dicendo: Così risponderai a questo popolo che si è rivolto a te dicendo: "Tuo padre ha reso pesante il nostro giogo; ora tu alleggeriscilo". Et tout Israël s'en alla à ses tentes. | And when all Israel saw that the king hearkened not unto them, the people answered the king, saying, What portion have we in David? neither have we inheritance in the son of Jesse: every man to your tents, O Israel: now see to thine own house, David.
