| 2 | et les Philistins appelèrent les sacrificateurs et les devins, disant: Que ferons-nous de l'arche de l'Éternel? Faites-nous savoir comment nous la renverrons en son lieu. | And the Philistines called for the priests and the diviners, saying, What shall we do to the ark of the LORD? tell us wherewith we shall send it to his place. | Poi i Filistei convocarono i sacerdoti e gli indovini e dissero: Che dobbiamo fare dell'arca dell'Eterno? Indicateci il modo con cui dobbiamo rimandarla al suo luogo. |
| 3 | Et ils dirent: Si vous renvoyez l'arche du dieu d'Israël, ne la renvoyez pas à vide; ne manquez pas de lui rendre un sacrifice pour le délit; alors vous serez guéris, et vous saurez pourquoi sa main ne s'est pas retirée de vous. | And they said, If ye send away the ark of the God of Israel, send it not empty; but in any wise return him a trespass offering: then ye shall be healed, and it shall be known to you why his hand is not removed from you. | Allora essi risposero: Se rimandate l'arca del DIO d'Israele, non rimandatela vuota, ma dovete mandargli almeno un'offerta di riparazione; allora guarirete e saprete perché la sua mano non si allontanava da voi. |
| 4 | Et ils dirent: Quel est le sacrifice pour le délit que nous lui rendrons? Et ils dirent: Selon le nombre des princes des Philistins, cinq hémorrhoïdes d'or, et cinq souris d'or; car une même plaie a été sur vous tous et sur vos princes. | Then said they, What shall be the trespass offering which we shall return to him? They answered, Five golden emerods, and five golden mice, according to the number of the lords of the Philistines: for one plague was on you all, and on your lords. | Essi chiesero: Quale offerta di riparazione gli manderemo noi?. Quelli risposero: Cinque emorroidi d'oro e cinque topi d'oro secondo il numero dei principi dei Filistei, perché la stessa piaga ha colpito voi e i vostri principi. |
| 5 | Et vous ferez des figures de vos hémorrhoïdes, et des figures de vos souris qui détruisent le pays, et vous donnerez gloire au dieu d'Israël. Peut-être allégera-t-il sa main de dessus vous, et de dessus vos dieux, et de dessus votre pays. | Wherefore ye shall make images of your emerods, and images of your mice that mar the land; and ye shall give glory unto the God of Israel: peradventure he will lighten his hand from off you, and from off your gods, and from off your land. | Fate dunque delle raffigurazioni delle vostre emorroidi e delle raffigurazioni dei vostri topi che devastano il paese, e date gloria al DIO d'Israele; forse egli allenterà la sua mano su di voi, sui vostri dei e sul vostro paese. |
| 6 | Et pourquoi endurciriez-vous votre coeur, comme les Égyptiens et le Pharaon ont endurci leur coeur? Après qu'il eut opéré puissamment parmi eux, ne les laissèrent-ils pas aller? et ils s'en allèrent. | Wherefore then do ye harden your hearts, as the Egyptians and Pharaoh hardened their hearts? when he had wrought wonderfully among them, did they not let the people go, and they departed? | Perché mai indurite il vostro cuore come gli Egiziani e il Faraone indurirono il loro cuore? Quando compì cose potenti nel loro mezzo, non li lasciarono andare e così essi poterono partire? |
| 7 | Et maintenant, faites un chariot neuf, et prenez deux vaches qui allaitent, sur lesquelles le joug n'ait jamais été mis, et attelez les vaches au chariot, et faites ramener à la maison leurs petits d'auprès d'elles. | Now therefore make a new cart, and take two milch kine, on which there hath come no yoke, and tie the kine to the cart, and bring their calves home from them: | Fate dunque un carro nuovo, poi prendete due vacche che allattino su cui non è mai stato posto il giogo e attaccate al carro le vacche, ma riportate i loro vitelli nella stalla lontano da esse. |
| 8 | Et prenez l'arche de l'Éternel, et mettez-la sur le chariot, et mettez dans un coffret, à côté d'elle, les objets d'or que vous lui rendez comme offrande pour le délit; et vous la renverrez, et elle s'en ira. | And take the ark of the LORD, and lay it upon the cart; and put the jewels of gold, which ye return him for a trespass offering, in a coffer by the side thereof; and send it away, that it may go. | Poi prendete l'arca dell'Eterno e ponetela sul carro; e deponete i lavori d'oro che mandate all'Eterno come offerta di riparazione in una cesta accanto ad essa; così la rimanderete, ed essa se ne andrà. |
| 9 | Et vous verrez: si elle monte par le chemin de sa frontière, vers Beth-Shémesh, c'est lui qui nous a fait ce grand mal; sinon, nous saurons que ce n'est pas sa main qui nous a frappés, mais que c'est une chose accidentelle qui nous est arrivée. | And see, if it goeth up by the way of his own coast to Bethshemesh, then he hath done us this great evil: but if not, then we shall know that it is not his hand that smote us: it was a chance that happened to us. | E state a vedere: se sale per la via che porta al suo territorio, verso Beth-Scemesh, è l'Eterno che ci ha fatto questo grande male; altrimenti sapremo che non è stata la sua mano a percuoterci ma che questo ci è avvenuto per caso. |
| 10 | Et les hommes firent ainsi, et prirent deux vaches qui allaitaient, et les attelèrent au chariot, et enfermèrent leurs petits dans la maison; | And the men did so; and took two milch kine, and tied them to the cart, and shut up their calves at home: | Essi dunque fecero così; presero due vacche che allattavano le attaccarono al carro e chiusero nella stalla i loro vitelli. |
| 11 | et ils mirent l'arche de l'Éternel sur le chariot, et le coffret, avec les souris d'or et les figures de leurs hémorrhoïdes. | And they laid the ark of the LORD upon the cart, and the coffer with the mice of gold and the images of their emerods. | Poi misero sul carro l'arca dell'Eterno e la cesta con i topi d'oro e le raffigurazioni delle emorroidi. |
| 12 | Et les vaches allèrent tout droit par le chemin, du côté de Beth-Shémesh; elles marchèrent par une seule route, allant et mugissant, et elles ne se détournèrent ni à droite ni à gauche; et les princes des Philistins allèrent après elles jusqu'à la frontière de Beth-Shémesh. | And the kine took the straight way to the way of Bethshemesh, and went along the highway, lowing as they went, and turned not aside to the right hand or to the left; and the lords of the Philistines went after them unto the border of Bethshemesh. | Allora le vacche si avviarono diritte proprio in direzione di Beth-Scemesh, seguendo sempre la stessa strada e muggendo mentre andavano, senza piegare né a destra né a sinistra. I principi dei Filistei li seguirono fino ai confini di Beth-Scemesh. |
| 13 | Et ceux de Beth-Shémesh moissonnaient les froments dans la vallée, et ils levèrent leurs yeux et virent l'arche, et se réjouirent en la voyant. | And they of Bethshemesh were reaping their wheat harvest in the valley: and they lifted up their eyes, and saw the ark, and rejoiced to see it. | Ora gli abitanti di Beth-Scemesh stavano mietendo il grano nella valle; alzando gli occhi, videro l'arca e gioirono nel vederla. |
| 14 | Et le chariot vint au champ de Josué, le Beth-Shémite, et s'arrêta là. Et il y avait là une grande pierre; et ils fendirent le bois du chariot, et offrirent les vaches en holocauste à l'Éternel. | And the cart came into the field of Joshua, a Bethshemite, and stood there, where there was a great stone: and they clave the wood of the cart, and offered the kine a burnt offering unto the LORD. | Il carro, giunto al campo di Giosuè di Beth-Scemesh, vi si fermò. Là c'era una grande pietra; così essi spaccarono il legname del carro e offrirono le vacche in olocausto all'Eterno. |
| 15 | Et les Lévites descendirent l'arche de l'Éternel, et le coffret qui était auprès, dans lequel étaient les objets d'or, et ils les mirent sur la grande pierre. Et les hommes de Beth-Shémesh offrirent en ce jour des holocaustes et sacrifièrent des sacrifices à l'Éternel. | And the Levites took down the ark of the LORD, and the coffer that was with it, wherein the jewels of gold were, and put them on the great stone: and the men of Bethshemesh offered burnt offerings and sacrificed sacrifices the same day unto the LORD. | I Leviti tirarono giù l'arca dell'Eterno e la cesta che le stava accanto e in cui erano gli oggetti d'oro, e li deposero sulla grande pietra. In quello stesso giorno gli uomini di Beth-Scemesh offrirono olocausti e immolarono sacrifici all'Eterno. |
| 16 | Et les cinq princes des Philistins virent cela, et s'en retournèrent à Ékron ce jour-là. | And when the five lords of the Philistines had seen it, they returned to Ekron the same day. | Quando i cinque principi dei Filistei videro ciò, ritornarono lo stesso giorno a Ekron. |
| 17 | Et ce sont ici les hémorrhoïdes d'or que les Philistins rendirent à l'Éternel comme offrande pour le délit: pour Asdod une, pour Gaza une, pour Askalon une, pour Gath une, pour Ékron une; | And these are the golden emerods which the Philistines returned for a trespass offering unto the LORD; for Ashdod one, for Gaza one, for Askelon one, for Gath one, for Ekron one; | Queste sono le emorroidi d'oro che i Filistei mandarono all'Eterno come offerta di riparazione: una per Ashdod, una per Gaza, una per Askalon, una per Gath, una per Ekron; |
| 18 | et les souris d'or, selon le nombre de toutes les villes des Philistins, des cinq princes, depuis les villes fortifiées jusqu'aux villages des campagnards; et ils les amenèrent jusqu'à la grande pierre d' Abel, sur laquelle ils posèrent l'arche de l'Éternel; elle est jusqu'à ce jour dans le champ de Josué, le Beth-Shémite. | And the golden mice, according to the number of all the cities of the Philistines belonging to the five lords, both of fenced cities, and of country villages, even unto the great stone of Abel, whereon they set down the ark of the LORD: which stone remaineth unto this day in the field of Joshua, the Bethshemite. | e i topi d'oro secondo il numero di tutte le città dei Filistei appartenenti ai cinque principi, dalle città fortificate ai villaggi di campagna fino alla grande pietra del prato sulla quale fu deposta l'arca dell'Eterno, e che sta fino al giorno d'oggi nel campo di Giosuè, il Beth-scemita. |
| 19 | Et l'Éternel frappa des hommes de Beth-Shémesh, car ils regardèrent dans l'arche de l'Éternel; et il frappa du peuple soixante-dix hommes; et le peuple mena deuil, parce que l'Éternel avait frappé le peuple d'un grand coup. | And he smote the men of Bethshemesh, because they had looked into the ark of the LORD, even he smote of the people fifty thousand and threescore and ten men: and the people lamented, because the LORD had smitten many of the people with a great slaughter. | L'Eterno colpì alcuni uomini di Beth-Scemesh, perché avevano guardato dentro l'arca dell'Eterno; colpì settanta uomini del popolo. Il popolo fece cordoglio perché l'Eterno lo aveva colpito con una grande calamità. |
| 20 | Et les hommes de Beth-Shémesh dirent: Qui peut tenir devant l'Éternel, ce Dieu saint? Et vers qui montera-t-il de chez nous? | And the men of Bethshemesh said, Who is able to stand before this holy LORD God? and to whom shall he go up from us? | Gli uomini di Beth-Scemesh dissero: Chi può resistere davanti all'Eterno, a questo DIO santo? Da chi salirà l'arca partendo da noi?. |
| 21 | Et ils envoyèrent des messagers aux habitants de Kiriath-Jéarim, disant: Les Philistins ont ramené l'arche de l'Éternel: descendez, faites-la monter vers vous. | And they sent messengers to the inhabitants of Kirjathjearim, saying, The Philistines have brought again the ark of the LORD; come ye down, and fetch it up to you. | Così inviarono messaggeri agli abitanti di Kiriath-Jearim per dir loro: I Filistei hanno ricondotto l'arca dell'Eterno; scendete e portatela su da voi. |
