| 6 | La main de l'Éternel s'appesantit sur les Asdodiens, et il mit la désolation parmi eux ; il les frappa d'hémorroïdes à Asdod et dans son territoire. | But the hand of the LORD was heavy upon them of Ashdod, and he destroyed them, and smote them with emerods, even Ashdod and the coasts thereof. | Puis la main de l'Eternel s'appesantit sur le Asdodiens, et les rendit tout désolés, et les frappa au dedans du fondement dans Asdod, et dans tout son territoire. | But the hand of Jehovah was heavy upon them of Ashdod, and he destroyed them, and smote them with tumors, even Ashdod and the borders thereof. |
| 7 | Voyant qu'il en était ainsi, les gens d'Asdod dirent : L'arche du Dieu d'Israël ne restera pas chez nous, car il appesantit sa main sur nous et sur Dagon, notre dieu. | And when the men of Ashdod saw that it was so, they said, The ark of the God of Israel shall not abide with us: for his hand is sore upon us, and upon Dagon our god. | Ceux donc d'Asdod voyant qu'il en allait ainsi, dirent: L'Arche du Dieu d'Israël ne demeurera point avec nous; car sa main est appesantie sur nous, et sur Dagon notre Dieu. | And when the men of Ashdod saw that it was so, they said, The ark of the God of Israel shall not abide with us; for his hand is sore upon us, and upon Dagon our god. |
| 8 | Et ils firent chercher et assemblèrent auprès d'eux tous les princes des Philistins, et ils dirent : Que ferons-nous de l'arche du Dieu d'Israël ? Les princes répondirent : Que l'on transporte à Gath l'arche du Dieu d'Israël. Et l'on y transporta l'arche du Dieu d'Israël. | They sent therefore and gathered all the lords of the Philistines unto them, and said, What shall we do with the ark of the God of Israel? And they answered, Let the ark of the God of Israel be carried about unto Gath. And they carried the ark of the God of Israel about thither. | Et ils envoyèrent, et assemblèrent vers eux tous les Gouverneurs des Philistins, et dirent: Que ferons-nous de l'Arche du Dieu d'Israël? Et ils répondirent: Qu'on transporte à Gath l'Arche du Dieu d'Israël. Ainsi on transporta l'Arche du Dieu d'Israël. | They sent therefore and gathered all the lords of the Philistines unto them, and said, What shall we do with the ark of the God of Israel? | 9 | Mais après qu'elle eut été transportée, la main de l'Éternel fut sur la ville, et il y eut une très grande consternation ; il frappa les gens de la ville depuis le petit jusqu'au grand, et ils eurent une éruption d'hémorroïdes. | And it was so, that, after they had carried it about, the hand of the LORD was against the city with a very great destruction: and he smote the men of the city, both small and great, and they had emerods in their secret parts. | Mais il arriva qu'après qu'on l'eut transportée, la main de l'Eternel fut sur la ville de Gath avec un fort grand effroi; et il frappa les gens de la ville depuis le plus petit jusqu'au plus grand, tellement que leur fondement était couvert. | And it was so, that, after they had carried it about, the hand of Jehovah was against the city with a very great discomfiture: and he smote the men of the city, both small and great; and tumors brake out upon them. |

Lorsque l'arche de Dieu entra dans Ékron, les Ékroniens poussèrent des cris, en disant : On a transporté chez nous l'arche du Dieu d'Israël, pour nous faire mourir, nous et notre peuple ! | Therefore they sent the ark of God to Ekron. And it came to pass, as the ark of God came to Ekron, that the Ekronites cried out, saying, They have brought about the ark of the God of Israel to us, to slay us and our people. | Ils envoyèrent donc l'Arche de Dieu à Hékron. Or comme l'Arche de Dieu entrait à Hékron, ceux de Hékron s'écrièrent, en disant: Ils ont fait détourner vers nous l'Arche du Dieu d'Israël, pour nous faire mourir, nous et notre peuple. | So they sent the ark of God to Ekron. And it came to pass, as the ark of God came to Ekron, that the Ekronites cried out, saying, They have brought about the ark of the God of Israel to us, to slay us and our people. |

Car il y avait dans toute la ville une terreur mortelle ; la main de Dieu s'y appesantissait fortement. | So they sent and gathered together all the lords of the Philistines, and said, Send away the ark of the God of Israel, and let it go again to his own place, that it slay us not, and our people: for there was a deadly destruction throughout all the city; the hand of God was very heavy there. | C'est pourquoi ils envoyèrent, et assemblèrent tous les Gouverneurs des Philistins, en disant: Laissez aller l'Arche du Dieu d'Israël, et qu'elle s'en retourne en son lieu; afin qu'elle ne nous fasse point mourir, nous et notre peuple; car il y avait une frayeur mortelle par toute la ville, et la main de Dieu y était fort appesantie. | They sent therefore and gathered together all the lords of the Philistines, and they said, Send away the ark of the God of Israel, and let it go again to its own place, that is slay us not, and our people.
