Et Akisch répondit aux princes des Philistins : N'est-ce pas David, serviteur de Saül, roi d'Israël ? il y a longtemps qu'il est avec moi, et je n'ai pas trouvé la moindre chose à lui reprocher depuis son arrivée jusqu'à ce jour. | Then said the princes of the Philistines, What [do] these Hebrews [here]? And Achish said unto the princes of the Philistines, Is not this David, the servant of Saul the king of Israel, who hath been with me these days, or [rather] these years, and I have found no fault in him since he fell away [unto me] unto this day? | Allora i capi dei Filistei dissero: Cosa fanno questi Ebrei?. Akish rispose ai capi dei Filistei: Non è costui Davide, servo di Saul re d'Israele, che è stato con me questi giorni o questi anni? | 4 | Mais les princes des Philistins s'irritèrent contre Akisch, et lui dirent : Renvoie cet homme, et qu'il retourne dans le lieu où tu l'as établi ; qu'il ne descende pas avec nous sur le champ de bataille, afin qu'il ne soit pas pour nous un ennemi pendant le combat. Et comment cet homme rentrerait-il en grâce auprès de son maître, si ce n'est au moyen des têtes de nos gens ? | But he princes of the Philistines were wroth with him; and the princes of the Philistines said unto him, Make the man return, that he may go back to his place where thou hast appointed him, and let him not go down with us to battle, lest in the battle he become an adversary to us: for wherewith should this [fellow] reconcile himself unto his lord? should it not be with the heads of these men? | Ma i capi dei Filistei si adirarono contro di lui e gli dissero: Rimanda costui, perché ritorni al luogo che gli hai assegnato. | 6 | Akisch appela David, et lui dit : L'Éternel est vivant ! tu es un homme droit, et j'aime à te voir aller et venir avec moi dans le camp, car je n'ai rien trouvé de mauvais en toi depuis ton arrivée auprès de moi jusqu'à ce jour ; mais tu ne plais pas aux princes. | Then Achish called David, and said unto him, As Jehovah liveth, thou hast been upright, and thy going out and thy coming in with me in the host is good in my sight; for I have not found evil in thee since the day of thy coming unto me unto this day: nevertheless the lords favor thee not. | Allora Akish chiamò Davide e gli disse: Com'è vero che l'Eterno vive, tu sei un uomo retto e vedo con piacere il tuo andare e venire con me nell'esercito, perché non ho trovato in te niente di male dal giorno del tuo arrivo da me fino ad oggi; ma tu non sei gradito agli occhi dei principi. |
| 7 | Retourne donc et va-t'en en paix, pour ne rien faire de désagréable aux yeux des princes des Philistins. | Wherefore now return, and go in peace, that thou displease not the lords of the Philistines. | Or dunque torna indietro e va' in pace, per non far nulla che dispiaccia ai principi dei Filistei. |
| 8 | David dit à Akisch : Mais qu'ai-je fait, et qu'as-tu trouvé en ton serviteur depuis que je suis auprès de toi jusqu'à ce jour, pour que je n'aille pas combattre les ennemis de mon seigneur le roi ? | And David said unto Achish, But what have I done? and what hast thou found in thy servant so long as I have been before thee unto this day, that I may not go and fight against the enemies of my lord the king? | Davide disse ad Akish: Che cosa ho fatto e che cosa hai trovato nel tuo servo dal giorno in cui sono venuto con te fino al giorno d'oggi, perché io non possa andare a combattere contro i nemici del re, mio signore?. |
| 9 | Akisch répondit à David : Je le sais, car tu es agréable à mes yeux comme un ange de Dieu ; mais les princes des Philistins disent : Il ne montera point avec nous pour combattre. | And Achish answered and said to David, I know that thou art good in my sight, as an angel of God: notwithstanding the princes of the Philistines have said, He shall not go up with us to the battle. | Akish rispose a Davide dicendo: Comprendo che tu sei gradito ai miei occhi come un angelo di DIO; ma i principi dei Filistei hanno detto: "Egli non deve salire con noi alla battaglia!". |
| 10 | Ainsi lève-toi de bon matin, toi et les serviteurs de ton maître qui sont venus avec toi ; levez-vous de bon matin, et partez dès que vous verrez la lumière. | Wherefore now rise up early in the morning with the servants of thy lord that are come with thee; and as soon as ye are up early in the morning, and have light, depart. | Perciò, alzati domani mattina presto con i servi del tuo signore che sono venuti con te; alzatevi al mattino presto e, allo spuntar del giorno, partite. |
| 11 | David et ses gens se levèrent de bonne heure, pour partir dès le matin, et retourner dans le pays des Philistins. Et les Philistins montèrent à Jizreel. | So David rose up early, he and his men, to depart in the morning, to return into the land of the Philistines. And the Philistines went up to Jezreel. | Così Davide e i suoi uomini si alzarono al mattino presto, per partire e tornare nel paese dei Filistei. I Filistei invece salirono a Jezreel. |
