| 1 | (24:2) Et il arriva que, quand Saül fut revenu de la poursuite des Philistins, on lui rapporta, en disant: Voici, David est au désert d'En-Guédi. | And it came to pass, when Saul was returned from following the Philistines, that it was told him, saying, Behold, David is in the wilderness of Engedi. | Quando Saul ritornò dall'inseguimento dei Filistei, gli riferirono: Ecco, Davide è nel deserto di En-Ghedi. |
| 2 | (24:3) Et Saül prit trois mille hommes d'élite de tout Israël, et il s'en alla pour chercher David et ses hommes sur les rochers des bouquetins. | Then Saul took three thousand chosen men out of all Israel, and went to seek David and his men upon the rocks of the wild goats. | Allora Saul prese tremila uomini scelti da tutto Israele e andò a cercare Davide e i suoi uomini di fronte alle rocce delle capre selvatiche. |
| 3 | (24:4) Et il vint aux parcs du menu bétail, sur le chemin; et là il y avait une caverne, et Saül y entra pour se couvrir les pieds; et David et ses hommes étaient assis au fond de la caverne. | And he came to the sheepcotes by the way, where was a cave; and Saul went in to cover his feet: and David and his men remained in the sides of the cave. | Arrivato ai recinti di pecore lungo la strada, dove c'era una caverna, Saul vi entrò per fare un bisogno naturale. (Or Davide e i suoi uomini se ne stavano in fondo alla caverna). |
| 4 | (24:5) Et les hommes de David lui dirent: Voici le jour dont l'Éternel t'a dit: Voici, je livre ton ennemi en ta main, et tu lui feras comme il sera bon à tes yeux. Et David se leva et coupa secrètement le pan de la robe de Saül. | And the men of David said unto him, Behold the day of which the LORD said unto thee, Behold, I will deliver thine enemy into thine hand, that thou mayest do to him as it shall seem good unto thee. Then David arose, and cut off the skirt of Saul's robe privily. | Gli uomini di Davide gli dissero: Questo è il giorno in cui l'Eterno ti dice: "Ecco, io ti consegno nelle mani il tuo nemico; fa' di lui quello che ti piace". Allora Davide si alzò e, senza farsi notare, tagliò il lembo del mantello di Saul. |
| 5 | (24:6) Et il arriva, après cela, que le coeur de David le reprit de ce qu'il avait coupé le pan de la robe de Saül. | And it came to pass afterward, that David's heart smote him, because he had cut off Saul's skirt. | Ma dopo ciò a Davide battè il cuore, perché aveva tagliato il lembo del mantello di Saul. |
| 6 | (24:7) Et il dit à ses hommes: Loin de moi, de par l'Éternel, que je fasse une telle chose à mon seigneur, à l'oint de l'Éternel, que d'étendre ma main sur lui; car il est l'oint de l'Éternel. | And he said unto his men, The LORD forbid that I should do this thing unto my master, the LORD's anointed, to stretch forth mine hand against him, seeing he is the anointed of the LORD. | Così disse ai suoi uomini: Mi guardi l'Eterno dal fare questa cosa al mio signore, all'unto dell'Eterno, dallo stendere la mia mano contro di lui, perché è l'unto dell'Eterno. |
| 7 | (24:8) Et David retint ses hommes par ses paroles, et ne leur permit pas de s'élever contre Saül. Et Saül se leva de la caverne, et alla son chemin. | So David stayed his servants with these words, and suffered them not to rise against Saul. But Saul rose up out of the cave, and went on his way. | Con queste parole Davide trattenne i suoi uomini e non permise loro di scagliarsi contro Saul. Quindi Saul si levò, uscì dalla caverna e continuò il suo cammino. |
| 8 | (24:9) Et après cela, David se leva, et sortit de la caverne, et cria après Saül, disant: O roi, mon seigneur! Et Saül regarda derrière lui, et David s'inclina le visage contre terre et se prosterna. | David also arose afterward, and went out of the cave, and cried after Saul, saying, My lord the king. And when Saul looked behind him, David stooped with his face to the earth, and bowed himself. | Dopo ciò anche Davide si levò, uscì dalla caverna e gridò a Saul, dicendo: O re, mio signore!. Allora Saul si voltò indietro, e Davide si abbassò con la faccia a terra e si prostrò. |
| 9 | (24:10) Et David dit à Saül: Pourquoi écouterais-tu les paroles des hommes qui disent: Voici, David cherche à te faire du mal? | And David said to Saul, Wherefore hearest thou men's words, saying, Behold, David seeketh thy hurt? | Davide disse a Saul: Perché dai ascolto alle parole della gente che dice "Davide cerca di farti del male"? |
| 10 | (24:11) Voici, tes yeux ont vu en ce jour que l'Éternel t'a livré aujourd'hui en ma main, dans la caverne. Et on m'a dit de te tuer; et mon oeil t'a épargné, et j'ai dit: Je n'étendrai point ma main sur mon seigneur, car il est l'oint de l'Éternel. | Behold, this day thine eyes have seen how that the LORD had delivered thee to day into mine hand in the cave: and some bade me kill thee: but mine eye spared thee; and I said, I will not put forth mine hand against my lord; for he is the LORD's anointed. | Ecco, quest'oggi i tuoi occhi hanno visto che oggi l'Eterno ti aveva consegnato nelle mie mani in quella caverna qualcuno mi disse di ucciderti, ma io ti ho risparmiato e ho detto: "Non stenderò la mia mano contro il mio signore perché è l'unto dell'Eterno". |
| 11 | (24:12) Et regarde, mon père, regarde le pan de ta robe dans ma main; car en ce que j'ai coupé le pan de ta robe et ne t'ai point tué, sache et vois qu'il n'y a point de mal en ma main, ni de transgression, et que je n'ai pas péché contre toi; et toi, tu fais la chasse à mon âme pour la prendre. | Moreover, my father, see, yea, see the skirt of thy robe in my hand: for in that I cut off the skirt of thy robe, and killed thee not, know thou and see that there is neither evil nor transgression in mine hand, and I have not sinned against thee; yet thou huntest my soul to take it. | Inoltre, padre mio, guarda; si, guarda nella mia mano il lembo del tuo mantello. Se ho tagliato il lembo del tuo mantello e non ti ho ucciso, puoi capire e renderti conto che non vi è nelle mie azioni né malvagità né ribellione e non ho peccato contro di te; ma tu mi tendi insidie per togliermi la vita! |
| 12 | (24:13) L'Éternel jugera entre moi et toi, et l'Éternel me vengera de toi; mais ma main ne sera pas sur toi. | The LORD judge between me and thee, and the LORD avenge me of thee: but mine hand shall not be upon thee. | L'Eterno faccia giustizia fra me e te e l'Eterno mi vendichi di te; ma io non stenderò la mia mano contro di te. |
| 13 | (24:14) Comme dit le proverbe des anciens: Des méchants vient la méchanceté; mais ma main ne sera pas sur toi. | As saith the proverb of the ancients, Wickedness proceedeth from the wicked: but mine hand shall not be upon thee. | Come dice il proverbio degli antichi: "La malvagità viene dai malvagi". Ma io non stenderò la mia mano contro di te. |
| 14 | (24:15) Après qui est sorti le roi d'Israël? Qui poursuis-tu? Un chien mort, une puce! | After whom is the king of Israel come out? after whom dost thou pursue? after a dead dog, after a flea. | Contro chi è uscito il re d'Israele? Chi stai perseguitando? Un cane morto una pulce? |
| 15 | (24:16) Et l'Éternel sera juge, et il jugera entre moi et toi; et il verra et plaidera ma cause, et me fera droit en me délivrant de ta main. | The LORD therefore be judge, and judge between me and thee, and see, and plead my cause, and deliver me out of thine hand. | L'Eterno sia giudice e faccia giustizia fra me e te; possa egli vedere e difendere la mia causa, e farmi giustizia, liberandomi dalle tue mani. |
| 16 | (24:17) Et lorsque David eut achevé de dire ces paroles à Saül, Saül dit: Est-ce là ta voix, mon fils David? Et Saül éleva sa voix et pleura. | And it came to pass, when David had made an end of speaking these words unto Saul, that Saul said, Is this thy voice, my son David? And Saul lifted up his voice, and wept. | Quando Davide finì di dire queste parole a Saul, Saul disse: E' questa la tua voce, figlio mio Davide?. E Saul alzò la voce e pianse. |
| 17 | (24:18) Et il dit à David: Tu es plus juste que moi, car toi tu m'as rendu le bien, et moi je t'ai rendu le mal; | And he said to David, Thou art more righteous than I: for thou hast rewarded me good, whereas I have rewarded thee evil. | Poi disse a Davide: Tu sei più giusto di me, perché tu mi hai reso del bene, mentre io ti ho reso del male. |
| 18 | (24:19) et tu as fait connaître aujourd'hui que tu agissais en bien envers moi, en ce que l'Éternel m'avait livré en ta main, et que tu ne m'as pas tué. | And thou hast shewed this day how that thou hast dealt well with me: forasmuch as when the LORD had delivered me into thine hand, thou killedst me not. | Tu oggi hai mostrato di esserti comportato bene con me, perché l'Eterno mi aveva dato nelle tue mani, ma tu non mi hai ucciso. |
| 19 | (24:20) Et si un homme a trouvé son ennemi, le laissera-t-il aller sain et sauf? Que l'Éternel te fasse du bien, en récompense de ce que tu as fait aujourd'hui à mon égard! | For if a man find his enemy, will he let him go well away? wherefore the LORD reward thee good for that thou hast done unto me this day. | Quando mai un uomo incontra il suo nemico e lo lascia andare in pace? Ti renda dunque l'Eterno del bene, per quanto oggi mi hai fatto. |
| 20 | (24:21) Et maintenant, voici, je sais que certainement tu règneras, et que le royaume d'Israël sera établi en ta main. | And now, behold, I know well that thou shalt surely be king, and that the kingdom of Israel shall be established in thine hand. | Ora so per certo che tu regnerai e che il regno d'Israele sarà reso stabile nelle tue mani. |
| 21 | (24:22) Et maintenant, jure-moi par l'Éternel que tu ne retrancheras point ma semence après moi, et que tu n'ôteras point mon nom de la maison de mon père. | Swear now therefore unto me by the LORD, that thou wilt not cut off my seed after me, and that thou wilt not destroy my name out of my father's house. | Perciò giurami per l'Eterno che non sopprimerai i miei discendenti dopo di me e che non cancellerai il mio nome dalla casa di mio padre. |
| 22 | (24:23) Et David le jura à Saül; et Saül s'en alla dans sa maison; et David et ses hommes montèrent au lieu fort. | And David sware unto Saul. And Saul went home; but David and his men gat them up unto the hold. | Davide lo giurò a Saul. Poi Saul andò a casa sua, mentre Davide e i suoi uomini salirono alla roccaforte. |
