| 1 | Et David vint à Nob, auprès d'Akhimélec, le sacrificateur; et Akhimélec trembla en rencontrant David, et lui dit: Pourquoi es-tu seul et n'y a-t-il personne avec toi? | Then came David to Nob to Ahimelech the priest: and Ahimelech was afraid at the meeting of David, and said unto him, Why art thou alone, and no man with thee? | Poi Davide andò a Nob dal sacerdote Ahimelek; Ahimelek andò incontro a Davide tutto tremante e gli disse: Perché sei solo e non c'è nessuno con te?. |
| 2 | Et David dit à Akhimélec, le sacrificateur: Le roi m'a commandé quelque chose, et m'a dit: Que personne ne sache rien de l'affaire pour laquelle je t'envoie, ni de ce que je t'ai commandé. Et j'ai indiqué à mes jeunes hommes un certain lieu. | And David said unto Ahimelech the priest, The king hath commanded me a business, and hath said unto me, Let no man know any thing of the business whereabout I send thee, and what I have commanded thee: and I have appointed my servants to such and such a place. | Davide rispose al sacerdote Ahimelek: Il re mi ha comandato una certa cosa e mi ha detto: "Nessuno sappia niente della cosa per la quale ti mando e di ciò che ti ho comandato". I miei uomini invece li ho indirizzati nel tal luogo. |
| 3 | Et maintenant, qu'as-tu sous la main? Donne-moi dans la main cinq pains, ou ce qui se trouvera. | Now therefore what is under thine hand? give me five loaves of bread in mine hand, or what there is present. | E ora che cosa hai sotto mano? Dammi cinque pani o qualunque cosa tu abbia. |
| 4 | Et le sacrificateur répondit à David, et dit: Je n'ai point sous la main de pain commun, il n'y a que du pain sacré; si seulement les jeunes hommes se sont gardés des femmes! | And the priest answered David, and said, There is no common bread under mine hand, but there is hallowed bread; if the young men have kept themselves at least from women. | Il sacerdote rispose a Davide dicendo: Non ho pane comune sotto mano, c'è solo del pane consacrato, a condizione che i tuoi uomini si siano almeno astenuti da donne. |
| 5 | Et David répondit au sacrificateur, et lui dit: Oui, nous avons été privés des femmes depuis deux ou trois jours que je suis sorti, et les vases de mes jeunes hommes sont saints; et le pain est en quelque sorte commun, vu qu'on en consacre de nouveau dans les vases aujourd'hui. | And David answered the priest, and said unto him, Of a truth women have been kept from us about these three days, since I came out, and the vessels of the young men are holy, and the bread is in a manner common, yea, though it were sanctified this day in the vessel. | Davide rispose al sacerdote: Siamo rimasti senza donne da quando sono partito, tre giorni fa; i vasi poi dei miei uomini sono puri; e il pane in effetti è comune, anche se oggi è stato santificato nei vasi. |
| 6 | Et le sacrificateur lui donna du pain sacré, car il n'y avait point là d'autre pain que le pain de proposition qui avait été ôté de devant l'Éternel pour remettre du pain chaud le jour où on levait l'autre. | So the priest gave him hallowed bread: for there was no bread there but the shewbread, that was taken from before the LORD, to put hot bread in the day when it was taken away. | Così il sacerdote gli diede il pane consacrato perché là non c'era altro pane che quello della presentazione, che era stato tolto dalla presenza dell'Eterno, per mettervi invece del pane caldo nel momento in cui si toglie. |
| 7 | Et il y avait là un homme d'entre les serviteurs de Saül, retenu ce jour-là devant l'Éternel, et son nom était Doëg, l'Édomite; il était le chef des bergers de Saül. | Now a certain man of the servants of Saul was there that day, detained before the LORD; and his name was Doeg, an Edomite, the chiefest of the herdmen that belonged to Saul. | In quel giorno, c'era là un uomo dei servi di Saul, trattenuto davanti all'Eterno; si chiamava Doeg, l'Edomita, il capo dei pastori di Saul. |
| 8 | Et David dit à Akhimélec: N'as-tu pas ici sous la main une lance ou une épée? car je n'ai pris dans ma main ni mon épée ni mes armes, parce que l'affaire du roi était pressante. | And David said unto Ahimelech, And is there not here under thine hand spear or sword? for I have neither brought my sword nor my weapons with me, because the king's business required haste. | Davide disse ad Ahimelek: Non hai per caso sotto mano una lancia o una spada? Poiché non ho preso con me né la mia spada né le mie armi, perché l'incarico del re era urgente. |
| 9 | Et le sacrificateur dit: L'épée de Goliath, le Philistin que tu as frappé dans la vallée d'Éla, la voilà, enveloppée dans un manteau derrière l'éphod: si tu veux la prendre, prends-la; car il n'y en a point d'autre ici que celle-là. Et David dit: Il n'y en a point de pareille; donne-la-moi. | And the priest said, The sword of Goliath the Philistine, whom thou slewest in the valley of Elah, behold, it is here wrapped in a cloth behind the ephod: if thou wilt take that, take it: for there is no other save that here. And David said, There is none like that; give it me. | Il sacerdote rispose: C'è la spada di Goliath il Filisteo, che tu uccidesti nella valle del Terebinto; è là dietro l'efod, avvolta in un panno; se la vuoi prendere, prendila, perché qui non ve n'è altra all'infuori di questa. Davide disse: Nessuna è pari a quella; dammela!. |
| 10 | Et David se leva et s'enfuit ce jour-là de devant Saül, et vint vers Akish, roi de Gath. | And David arose and fled that day for fear of Saul, and went to Achish the king of Gath. | Quel giorno Davide si levò e fuggì dalla presenza di Saul, e andò da Akish, re di Gath. |
| 11 | Et les serviteurs d'Akish lui dirent: N'est-ce pas là David, le roi du pays? N'est-ce pas au sujet de celui-ci qu'on s'entre-répondait dans les danses, en disant: Saül a frappé ses mille et David ses dix mille? | And the servants of Achish said unto him, Is not this David the king of the land? did they not sing one to another of him in dances, saying, Saul hath slain his thousands, and David his ten thousands? | I servi di Akish gli dissero: Non è costui Davide, il re del paese? Non è di costui che cantavano in coro nelle danze, dicendo: "Saul ha ucciso i suoi mille e Davide i suoi diecimila?. |
| 12 | Et David prit à coeur ces paroles, et il eut très-peur d'Akish, roi de Gath. | And David laid up these words in his heart, and was sore afraid of Achish the king of Gath. | Davide ritenne in cuore queste parole, ed ebbe grande paura di Akish, re di Gath. |
| 13 | Et il se contrefit devant eux, et fit l'insensé entre leurs mains; il marquait les battants de la porte, et laissait couler sa salive sur sa barbe. | And he changed his behaviour before them, and feigned himself mad in their hands, and scrabbled on the doors of the gate, and let his spittle fall down upon his beard. | Così cambiò il suo modo di agire davanti a loro e nelle loro mani si fingeva pazzo: tracciava sgorbi sui battenti delle porte e lasciava scorrer la saliva sulla barba. |
| 14 | Et Akish dit à ses serviteurs: Voici, vous voyez que cet homme est fou. Pourquoi me l'avez-vous amené? | Then said Achish unto his servants, Lo, ye see the man is mad: wherefore then have ye brought him to me? | Allora Akish disse ai suoi servi: Ecco, vedete, costui è pazzo; perché me lo avete condotto? |
| 15 | Manqué-je de fous, moi, que vous m'ayez amené celui-ci pour faire le fou devant moi? Celui-ci entrerait-il dans ma maison? | Have I need of mad men, that ye have brought this fellow to play the mad man in my presence? shall this fellow come into my house? | Mi mancano forse dei pazzi, che mi conducete questo tale a fare il pazzo in mia presenza? Costui non entrerà in casa mia!. |
