Saül avait fait jurer le peuple, en disant : Maudit soit l'homme qui prendra de la nourriture avant le soir, avant que je me sois vengé de mes ennemis ! Et personne n'avait pris de nourriture. | Mais ceux d'Israël se trouvèrent fort fatigués en ce jour-là; et Saül avait fait faire au peuple ce serment, disant: Maudit soit l'homme qui mangera d'aucune chose jusqu'au soir, afin que je me venge de mes ennemis; de sorte que tout le peuple ne goûta d'aucune chose. | And the men of Israel were distressed that day; for Saul had adjured the people, saying, Cursed be the man that eateth any food until it be evening, and I be avenged on mine enemies. Et pendant la nuit, chacun parmi le peuple amena son boeuf à la main, afin de l'égorger sur la pierre. | Et Saül dit: Allez partout parmi le peuple, et dites-leur que chacun amène vers moi son boeuf, et chacun ses brebis; vous les égorgerez ici, vous les mangerez, et vous ne pécherez point contre l'Eternel, en mangeant avec le sang. Et chacun du peuple amena cette nuit-là son boeuf à la main, et ils les égorgèrent là. | And Saul said, Disperse yourselves among the people, and say unto them, Bring me hither every man his ox, and every man his sheep, and slay them here, and eat; and sin not against Jehovah in eating with the blood. Et aucun de tout le peuple ne lui répondit rien. | For, as Jehovah liveth, who saveth Israel, though it be in Jonathan my son, he shall surely die. L'Éternel est vivant ! il ne tombera pas à terre un cheveu de sa tête, car c'est avec Dieu qu'il a agi dans cette journée. Ainsi le peuple sauva Jonathan, et il ne mourut point. | Mais le peuple dit à Saül: Jonathan qui a fait cette grande délivrance en Israël, mourrait-il? A Dieu ne plaise! l'Eternel est vivant, si un seul des cheveux de sa tête tombe à terre; car il a aujourd'hui opéré avec Dieu. Ainsi le peuple délivra Jonathan, et il ne mourut point. | And the people said unto Saul, Shall Jonathan die, who hath wrought this great salvation in Israel? Far from it: as Jehovah liveth, there shall not one hair of his head fall to the ground; for he hath wrought with God this day. So the people rescued Jonathan, that he died not. | Ma il popolo disse a Saul: Dovrà Gionathan, che ha operato questa grande liberazione in Israele, morire? Non sia mai! | 47 | Après que Saül eut pris possession de la royauté sur Israël, il fit de tous côtés la guerre à tous ses ennemis, à Moab, aux enfants d'Ammon, à Édom, aux rois de Tsoba, et aux Philistins ; et partout où il se tournait, il était vainqueur. | Saül donc prit possession du Royaume d'Israël, et fit la guerre de tous côtes contre ses ennemis, contre Moab, et contre les enfants de Hammon, et contre Edom, et contre les Rois de Tsoba, et contre les Philistins; partout où il se tournait, il mettait tout en trouble. | Now when Saul had taken the kingdom over Israel, he fought against all his enemies on every side, against Moab, and against the children of Ammon, and against Edom, and against the kings of Zobah, and against the Philistines: and whithersoever he turned himself, he put [them] to the worse. | Così Saul consolidò il regno su Israele e fece guerra a tutti i suoi nemici tutt'intorno: a Moab, ai figli di Ammon a Edom, ai re di Tsobah e ai Filistei; ovunque si volgeva, vinceva. |
