| 7 | And Solomon had twelve officers over all Israel, which provided victuals for the king and his household: each man his month in a year made provision. | Or Salomon avait douze commissaires sur tout Israël, qui faisaient les provisions du Roi et de sa maison; et chacun avait un mois de l'année pour le pourvoir de vivres. |

| 9 | The son of Dekar, in Makaz, and in Shaalbim, and Bethshemesh, and Elonbethhanan: | Le fils de Déker sur Makath, sur Sahalbim, sur Beth-sémes, sur Elon de Beth-hanan; |
| 10 | The son of Hesed, in Aruboth; to him pertained Sochoh, and all the land of Hepher: | Le fils de Hésed sur Arubboth, et il avait Soco et tout le pays de Hépher; |

| 13 | The son of Geber, in Ramothgilead; to him pertained the towns of Jair the son of Manasseh, which are in Gilead; to him also pertained the region of Argob, which is in Bashan, threescore great cities with walls and brasen bars: | Le fils de Guéber était commis sur Ramoth de Galaad, et il avait les bourgs de Jaïr fils de Manassé en Galaad; il avait aussi toute la contrée d'Argob en Basan, soixante grandes villes murées, et garnies de barres d'airain; |

| 15 | Ahimaaz was in Naphtali; he also took Basmath the daughter of Solomon to wife: | Ahimahats, qui avait pour femme Basemath fille de Salomon, était commis sur Nephthali; |
| 16 | Baanah the son of Hushai was in Asher and in Aloth: | Bahana fils de Cusaï était commis sur Aser, et sur Haloth; |
| 17 | Jehoshaphat the son of Paruah, in Issachar: | Jéhosaphat fils de Paruah, sur Issacar; |
| 18 | Shimei the son of Elah, in Benjamin: | Simhi fils d'Ela, sur Benjamin; |
| 19 | Geber the son of Uri was in the country of Gilead, in the country of Sihon king of the Amorites, and of Og king of Bashan; and he was the only officer which was in the land. | Guéber fils d'Uri, sur le pays de Galaad, qui avait été du pays de Sihon Roi des Amorrhéens, et de Hog Roi de Basan; et il était seul commis sur ce pays-là. |
| 20 | Judah and Israel were many, as the sand which is by the sea in multitude, eating and drinking, and making merry. | Juda et Israël étaient en grand nombre, comme le sable qui est sur le bord de la mer, tant ils étaient en grand nombre; ils mangeaient et buvaient, et se réjouissaient. |
| 21 | And Solomon reigned over all kingdoms from the river unto the land of the Philistines, and unto the border of Egypt: they brought presents, and served Solomon all the days of his life. | Et Salomon dominait sur tous les Royaumes, depuis le fleuve jusqu'au pays des Philistins, et jusqu'à la frontière d'Egypte; et ils lui apportaient des présents, et lui furent assujettis tout le temps de sa vie. |
| 22 | And Solomon's provision for one day was thirty measures of fine flour, and threescore measures of meal, | Or les vivres de Salomon pour chaque jour étaient trente Cores de fine farine, et soixante d'autre farine; |
| 23 | Ten fat oxen, and twenty oxen out of the pastures, and an hundred sheep, beside harts, and roebucks, and fallowdeer, and fatted fowl. | Dix boeufs gras, et vingt boeufs des pâturages, et cent moutons; sans les cerfs, les daims, les buffles, et les volailles engraissées. |
| 24 | For he had dominion over all the region on this side the river, from Tiphsah even to Azzah, over all the kings on this side the river: and he had peace on all sides round about him. | Car il dominait sur toutes les contrées de deçà le fleuve, depuis Tiphsah jusqu'à Gaza, sur tous les Rois qui étaient deçà le fleuve, et il était en paix avec tous les pays d'alentour, de tous côtés. |
| 25 | And Judah and Israel dwelt safely, every man under his vine and under his fig tree, from Dan even to Beersheba, all the days of Solomon. | Et Juda et Israël habitaient en assurance chacun sous sa vigne et sous son figuier, depuis Dan jusqu'à Beer-sebah, durant tout le temps de Salomon. |
| 26 | And Solomon had forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen. | Salomon avait aussi quarante mille places à tenir des chevaux, et douze mille hommes de cheval. |
| 27 | And those officers provided victual for king Solomon, and for all that came unto king Solomon's table, every man in his month: they lacked nothing. | Or ces commis-là pourvoyaient de vivres le Roi Salomon, et tous ceux qui s'approchaient de la table du Roi Salomon, chacun en son mois, et ils ne les laissaient manquer de rien. |
| 28 | Barley also and straw for the horses and dromedaries brought they unto the place where the officers were, every man according to his charge. | Ils faisaient aussi venir de l'orge et de la paille pour les chevaux et pour les genets, aux lieux où ils étaient, chacun selon la charge qu'il en avait. |
| 29 | And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore. | Et Dieu donna de la sagesse à Salomon; et une fort grande intelligence, et une étendue d'esprit aussi grande que celle du sable qui est sur le bord de la mer. |
| 30 | And Solomon's wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt. | Et la sagesse de Salomon était plus grande que la sagesse de tous les Orientaux, et que toute la sagesse des Egyptiens. |
| 31 | For he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol: and his fame was in all nations round about. | Il était même plus sage que quelque homme que ce fût, plus qu'Ethan Ezrahite, qu'Héman, que Calcol, et que Dardah, les fils de Mahol; et sa réputation se répandit dans toutes les nations d'alentour. |
| 32 | And he spake three thousand proverbs: and his songs were a thousand and five. | Il prononça trois mille paraboles, et fit cinq mille cantiques. |
| 33 | And he spake of trees, from the cedar tree that is in Lebanon even unto the hyssop that springeth out of the wall: he spake also of beasts, and of fowl, and of creeping things, and of fishes. | Il a aussi parlé des arbres, depuis le cèdre qui est au Liban, jusqu'à l'hysope qui sort de la muraille; il a aussi parlé des bêtes, des oiseaux, des reptiles, et des poissons. |
| 34 | And there came of all people to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, which had heard of his wisdom. | Et il venait des gens d'entre tous les peuples pour entendre la sagesse de Salomon; et de la part de tous les Rois de la terre qui avaient entendu parler de sa sagesse. |
