| 21 | Salomon dominait sur tous les royaumes, depuis le fleuve jusqu'au pays des Philistins et à la frontière d'Egypte; ils apportaient des présents et ils furent assujettis à Salomon tous les jours de sa vie. | And Solomon ruled over all the kingdoms from the River unto the land of the Philistines, and unto the border of Egypt: they brought tribute, and served Solomon all the days of his life. |
| 22 | Salomon consommait chaque jour en vivres : trente cors de fleur de farine et soixante cors de farine commune, | And Solomon`s provision for one day was thirty measures of fine flour, and threescore measures of meal, |

| 24 | Car il dominait sur tout le pays au delà du fleuve, depuis Taphsa jusqu'à Gaza, sur tous les rois au delà du fleuve; et il avait la paix avec tous ses sujets de tous côtés. | For he had dominion over all [the region] on this side the River, from Tiphsah even to Gaza, over all the kings on this side the River: and he had peace on all sides round about him. |
| 25 | Juda et Israël habitaient en sécurité, chacun sous sa vigne et sous son figuier, depuis Dan jusqu'à Bersabée, pendant tous les jours de Salomon. | And Judah and Israel dwelt safely, every man under his vine and under his fig-tree, from Dan even to Beer-sheba, all the days of Solomon. |
| 26 | Salomon avait quarante mille stalles pour les chevaux destinés à ses chars, et douze mille chevaux de selle. | And Solomon had forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen. |
| 27 | Les intendants pourvoyaient à l'entretien du roi Salomon et de tous ceux qui étaient admis à la table du roi Salomon, chacun pendant son mois; ils ne laissaient rien manquer. | And those officers provided victuals for king Solomon, and for all that came unto king Solomon`s table, every man in his month; they let nothing be lacking. |
| 28 | Ils faisaient aussi venir de l'orge et de la paille pour les chevaux de trait et de course dans le lieu où ceux-ci se trouvaient, chacun selon ce qui lui avait été prescrit. | Barley also and straw for the horses and swift steeds brought they unto the place where [the officers] were, every man according to his charge. |
| 29 | Dieu donna à Salomon de la sagesse, une très grande intelligence et un esprit étendu comme le sable qui est au bord de la mer. | And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea-shore. |
| 30 | La sagesse de Salomon surpassait la sagesse de tous les fils de l'Orient et toute la sagesse de l'Egypte. | And Solomon`s wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east, and all the wisdom of Egypt. |
| 31 | Il était plus sage qu'aucun homme, plus qu'Ethan l'Ezrahite, plus qu'Héman, Chalcol et Dorda, les fils de Mahol, et sa renommée était répandue parmi toutes les nations d'alentour. | For he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Calcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol: and his fame was in all the nations round about. |

| 33 | Il disserta sur les arbres, depuis le cèdre qui est au Liban jusqu'à l'hysope qui sort de la muraille; il disserta aussi sur les quadrupèdes et sur les oiseaux, et sur les reptiles, et sur les poissons. | And he spake of trees, from the cedar that is in Lebanon even unto the hyssop that springeth out of the wall; he spake also of beasts, and of birds, and of creeping things, and of fishes. |
| 34 | On venait de tous les peuples pour entendre la sagesse de Salomon, de la part de tous les rois de la terre qui avaient entendu parler de sa sagesse. | And there came of all peoples to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, who had heard of his wisdom. |
