| 4 | Achab rentra dans sa maison sombre et irrité à cause de cette parole que lui avait dite Naboth de Jezrahel : « Je ne donnerai pas l'héritage de mes pères. » Et, se couchant sur son lit, il détourna le visage et ne mangea pas. | And Ahab came into his house heavy and displeased because of the word which Naboth the Jezreelite had spoken to him; for he had said, I will not give thee the inheritance of my fathers. And he laid him down upon his bed, and turned away his face, and would eat no bread. | Perciò Achab tornò a casa sua triste e adirato per la risposta che Naboth di Jezreel gli aveva dato: Non ti cederò l'eredità dei miei padri!. | 24 | Celui de la maison d'Achab qui mourra dans la ville sera mangé par les chiens, et celui qui mourra dans les champs sera mangé par les oiseaux du ciel. » | Him that dieth of Ahab in the city the dogs shall eat; and him that dieth in the field shall the birds of the heavens eat. | Quelli di Achab che moriranno in città saranno divorati dai cani, quelli invece che moriranno nei campi saranno divorati dagli uccelli del cielo. |
| 25 | Il n'y a eu vraiment personne qui se soit vendu comme Achab pour faire ce qui est mal aux yeux de Yahweh; parce que Jézabel, sa femme, l'excitait. | (But there was none like unto Ahab, who did sell himself to do that which was evil in the sight of Jehovah, whom Jezebel his wife stirred up. | In verità non ci fu mai alcuno che si vendette a fare ciò che è male agli occhi dell'Eterno come Achab, perché era sospinto da sua moglie Jezebel. |
| 26 | Il s'est conduit de la manière la plus abominable, en allant après les idoles, selon tout ce que faisaient les Amorrhéens que Yahweh chassa devant les enfants d'Israël. | And he did very abominably in following idols, according to all that the Amorites did, whom Jehovah cast out before the children of Israel.) | Egli si comportò in modo abominevole, andando dietro agli idoli, come avevano fatto gli Amorei che l'Eterno aveva scacciato davanti ai figli d'Israele. |
| 27 | Lorsqu'Achab eut entendu les paroles d'Elie, il déchira ses vêtements et, ayant mis un sac sur son corps, il jeûna; il couchait avec le sac et il marchait avec lenteur. | And it came to pass, when Ahab heard those words, that he rent his clothes, and put sackcloth upon his flesh, and fasted, and lay in sackcloth, and went softly. | Quando Achab udì queste parole, si stracciò le vesti, si coperse il corpo con un sacco e digiunò; si coricava avvolto nel sacco e camminava dimesso. |

| 29 | « As-tu vu comment Achab s'est humilié devant moi ? Parce qu'il s'est humilié devant moi, je ne ferai pas venir le malheur pendant sa vie; ce sera pendant la vie de son fils que je ferai venir le malheur sur sa maison. » | Seest thou how Ahab humbleth himself before me? because he humbleth himself before me, I will not bring the evil in his days; but in his son`s days will I bring the evil upon his house. | Hai visto come Achab si è umiliato davanti a me? Poiché si è umiliato davanti a me, io non farò venire la sciagura mentre egli è in vita; ma manderò la sciagura sulla sua casa, durante la vita di suo figlio. |
