Et on le fit savoir à Shimhi, disant: Voici, tes serviteurs sont à Gath. | And it came to pass at the end of three years, that two of the servants of Shimei ran away unto Achish son of Maachah king of Gath. Et ne m'as-tu pas répondu : C'est bien ! j'ai entendu ? | Et le roi envoya, et appela Shimhi, et lui dit: Ne t'ai-je pas fait jurer par l'Éternel, et ne t'ai-je pas protesté, disant: Au jour que tu sortiras et que tu t'en iras où que ce soit, sache bien que tu mourras? Et tu me dis: La parole que j'ai entendue est bonne. | And the king sent and called for Shimei, and said unto him, Did I not make thee to swear by the LORD, and protested unto thee, saying, Know for a certain, on the day thou goest out, and walkest abroad any whither, that thou shalt surely die? and thou saidst unto me, The word that I have heard is good. | Il re allora mandò a chiamare Scimei e gli disse: Non ti avevo fatto giurare per l'Eterno e non ti avevo solennemente avvertito dicendoti: "Sappi per certo che il giorno in cui uscirai per andare qua o là, morirai"? | 45 | Mais le roi Salomon sera béni, et le trône de David sera pour toujours affermi devant l'Éternel. | Et le roi Salomon sera béni, et le trône de David sera affermi devant l'Éternel à toujours. | And king Solomon shall be blessed, and the throne of David shall be established before the LORD for ever. | ma il re Salomone sarà benedetto e il trono di Davide sarà reso stabile davanti all'Eterno per sempre. |
| 46 | Et le roi donna ses ordres à Benaja, fils de Jehojada, qui sortit et frappa Schimeï ; et Schimeï mourut. La royauté fut ainsi affermie entre les mains de Salomon. | Et le roi commanda à Benaïa, fils de Jehoïada, et il sortit, et se jeta sur lui; et il mourut. Et le royaume fut affermi dans la main de Salomon. | So the king commanded Benaiah the son of Jehoiada; which went out, and fell upon him, that he died. And the kingdom was established in the hand of Solomon. | Quindi il re diede ordine a Benaiah, figlio di Jehoiada, che uscì e colpì Scimei; e questi morì.
