1Ainsi donc, Christ ayant souffert dans la chair, vous aussi armez-vous de la même pensée. Car celui qui a souffert dans la chair en a fini avec le péché,Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;Forasmuch then as Christ suffered in the flesh, arm ye yourselves also with the same mind; for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;Poiché dunque Cristo ha sofferto per noi nella carne, armatevi anche voi del medesimo pensiero, perché chi ha sofferto nella carne ha smesso di peccare,
2afin de vivre, non plus selon les convoitises des hommes, mais selon la volonté de Dieu, pendant le temps qui lui reste à vivre dans la chair.That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.that ye no longer should live the rest of your time in flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.per vivere il tempo che resta nella carne non più nelle passioni degli uomini, ma secondo la volontà di Dio.
3C'est assez, en effet, d'avoir dans le temps passé accompli la volonté des païens, en marchant dans la dissolution, les convoitises, l'ivrognerie, les excès du manger et du boire, et les idolâtries criminelles.For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:For the time past may suffice to have wrought the desire of the Gentiles, and to have walked in lasciviousness, lusts, winebibbings, revellings, carousings, and abominable idolatries:Basta a noi infatti il tempo della vita che abbiamo trascorso a soddisfare le cose desiderate dai gentili, quando camminavamo nelle dissolutezze, nelle passioni, nelle ubriachezze, nelle gozzoviglie, nelle baldorie e nelle abominevoli idolatrie.
4Aussi trouvent-ils étrange que vous ne vous précipitiez pas avec eux dans le même débordement de débauche, et ils vous calomnient.Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you:wherein they think strange that ye run not with [them] into the same excess of riot, speaking evil of [of]:Per questo trovano strano che voi non corriate con loro agli stessi eccessi di dissolutezza e parlano male di voi.
5Ils rendront compte à celui qui est prêt à juger les vivants et les morts.Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead.who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the living and the dead.Essi renderanno conto a colui che è pronto a giudicare i vivi e i morti.
6Car l'Évangile a été aussi annoncé aux morts, afin que, après avoir été jugés comme les hommes quant à la chair, ils vivent selon Dieu quant à l'Esprit.For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.For unto this end was the gospel preached even to the dead, that they might be judged indeed according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.Per questo infatti è stato predicato l'evangelo anche ai morti, affinché fossero giudicati nella carne secondo gli uomini, ma vivessero nello spirito secondo Dio.
7La fin de toutes choses est proche. Soyez donc sages et sobres, pour vaquer à la prière.But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore of sound mind, and be sober unto prayer:Or la fine di tutte le cose è vicina; siate dunque sobri e vigilanti per dedicarvi alle preghiere,
8Avant tout, ayez les uns pour les autres une ardente charité, car La charité couvre une multitude de péchés.And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.above all things being fervent in your love among yourselves; for love covereth a multitude of sins:avendo prima di tutto un intenso amore gli uni per gli altri, perché l'amore coprirà una moltitudine di peccati.
9Exercez l'hospitalité les uns envers les autres, sans murmures.Use hospitality one to another without grudging.using hospitality one to another without murmuring:Siate ospitali gli uni verso gli altri senza mormorare.
10Comme de bons dispensateurs des diverses grâces de Dieu, que chacun de vous mette au service des autres le don qu'il a reçu,As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.according as each hath received a gift, ministering it among yourselves, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God;Ciascuno metta al servizio degli altri il dono che ha ricevuto, come buoni amministratori della multiforme grazia di Dio.
11Si quelqu'un parle, que ce soit comme annonçant les oracles de Dieu ; si quelqu'un remplit un ministère, qu'il le remplisse selon la force que Dieu communique, afin qu'en toutes choses Dieu soit glorifié par Jésus Christ, à qui appartiennent la gloire et la puissance, aux siècles des siècles. Amen !If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.if any man speaketh, [speaking] as it were oracles of God; is any man ministereth, [ministering] as of the strength which God supplieth: that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, whose is the glory and the dominion for ever and ever. Amen.Chi parla, lo faccia come se annunciasse gli oracoli di Dio; chi fa un servizio, lo faccia nella forza che gli è fornita da Dio, affinché in ogni cosa sia glorificato Dio per mezzo di Gesù Cristo, a cui appartiene la gloria e il dominio per i secoli dei secoli. Amen.
12Bien-aimés, ne soyez pas surpris, comme d'une chose étrange qui vous arrive, de la fournaise qui est au milieu de vous pour vous éprouver.Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial among you, which cometh upon you to prove you, as though a strange thing happened unto you:Carissimi, non lasciatevi disorientare per la prova di fuoco che è in atto in mezzo a voi per provarvi, come se vi accadesse qualcosa di strano.
13Réjouissez-vous, au contraire, de la part que vous avez aux souffrances de Christ, afin que vous soyez aussi dans la joie et dans l'allégresse lorsque sa gloire apparaîtra.But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.but insomuch as ye are partakers of Christ`s sufferings, rejoice; that at the revelation of his glory also ye may rejoice with exceeding joy.Ma, nella misura in cui partecipate alle sofferenze di Cristo, rallegratevi perché anche nella manifestazione della sua gloria possiate rallegrarvi ed esultare.
14Si vous êtes outragés pour le nom de Christ, vous êtes heureux, parce que l'Esprit de gloire, l'Esprit de Dieu, repose sur vous.If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.If ye are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed [are ye]; because the [Spirit] of glory and the Spirit of God resteth upon you.Se siete vituperati per il nome di Cristo, beati voi, poiché lo Spirito di gloria e lo Spirito di Dio riposa su di voi; da parte loro egli è bestemmiato, ma da parte vostra egli è glorificato.
15Que nul de vous, en effet, ne souffre comme meurtrier, ou voleur, ou malfaiteur, ou comme s'ingérant dans les affaires d'autrui.But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters.For let none of you suffer as a murderer, or a thief, or an evil-doer, or as a meddler in other men`s matters:Nessuno di voi abbia a soffrire come omicida o ladro o malfattore, o perché si impiccia negli affari degli altri;
16Mais si quelqu'un souffre comme chrétien, qu'il n'en ait point honte, et que plutôt il glorifie Dieu à cause de ce nom.Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.but if [a man suffer] as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God in this name.ma, se uno soffre come cristiano, non si vergogni, anzi glorifichi Dio a questo riguardo.
17Car c'est le moment où le jugement va commencer par la maison de Dieu. Or, si c'est par nous qu'il commence, quelle sera la fin de ceux qui n'obéissent pas à l'Évangile de Dieu ?For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?For the time [is come] for judgment to begin at the house of God: and if [it begin] first at us, what [shall be] the end of them that obey not the gospel of God?Poiché è giunto il tempo che il giudizio cominci dalla casa di Dio, e se comincia prima da noi, quale sarà la fine di coloro che non ubbidiscono all'evangelo di Dio?
18Et si le juste se sauve avec peine, que deviendront l'impie et le pécheur ?And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?And if the righteous is scarcely saved, where shall the ungodly and sinner appear?E se il giusto è appena salvato, cosa avverrà dell'empio e del peccatore?.
19Ainsi, que ceux qui souffrent selon la volonté de Dieu remettent leurs âmes au fidèle Créateur, en faisant ce qui est bien.Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.Wherefore let them also that suffer according to the will of God commit their souls in well-doing unto a faithful Creator.Perciò anche quelli che soffrono secondo la volontà di Dio, raccomandino a lui le proprie anime, come al fedele Creatore, facendo il bene.
