| 1 | Now as touching things offered unto idols, we know that we all have knowledge. | 8 | But meat commendeth us not to God: for neither, if we eat, are we the better; neither, if we eat not, are we the worse. | Or, un aliment ne nous rend pas agréables à Dieu; car si nous mangeons, nous n'avons rien de plus; et si nous ne mangeons pas, nous n'avons rien de moins. | Ora un cibo non ci rende graditi a Dio; se mangiamo, non abbiamo nulla di più, e se non mangiamo, non abbiamo nulla di meno. |
| 9 | But take heed lest by any means this liberty of your's become a stumblingblock to them that are weak. | Mais prenez garde que cette liberté que vous avez, ne soit en scandale aux faibles. | Badate però che questa vostra libertà non divenga un intoppo per i deboli. |
| 10 | For if any man see thee which hast knowledge sit at meat in the idol's temple, shall not the conscience of him which is weak be emboldened to eat those things which are offered to idols; | Car, si quelqu'un te voit, toi qui as la science, assis à table dans le temple des idoles, la conscience de celui qui est faible, ne sera-t-elle pas déterminée à manger de ce qui est sacrifié aux idoles? | Perché se qualcuno vede te, che hai conoscenza, seduto a tavola in un tempio di idoli, la coscienza di lui, che è debole, non sarà forse incoraggiata a mangiare le cose sacrificate agli idoli? |
| 11 | And through thy knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ died? | Et le frère faible, pour lequel Christ est mort, périra par ta science. | E così, a causa della tua conoscenza perirà il fratello debole, per il quale Cristo è morto. |
