Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.Be ye imitators of me, even as I also am of Christ.
Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, as I delivered them to you.Now I praise you that ye remember me in all things, and hold fast the traditions, even as I delivered them to you.Or vi lodo, fratelli, perché vi ricordate di tutte le cose che provengono da me, e perché ritenete gli ordinamenti, come ve li ho trasmessi.
But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.Voglio però che sappiate che il capo di ogni uomo è Cristo, il capo della donna è l'uomo e il capo di Cristo è Dio.
Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoureth his head.Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoreth his head.
But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven. But every woman praying or prophesying with her head unveiled dishonoreth her head; for it is one and the same thing as if she were shaven.
For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered. For if a woman is not veiled, let her also be shorn: but if it is a shame to a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be veiled.
For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.For a man indeed ought not to have his head veiled, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.L'uomo invece non deve coprirsi il capo, perché è l'immagine e la gloria di Dio; ma la donna è la gloria dell'uomo,
For the man is not of the woman: but the woman of the man.For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man:perché l'uomo non è dalla donna, ma la donna dall'uomo,
Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.for neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man:anche perché l'uomo non fu creato per la donna, ma la donna per l'uomo.
For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels.for this cause ought the woman to have [a sign of] authority on her head, because of the angels.
Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord.Nevertheless, neither is the woman without the man, nor the man without the woman, in the Lord.
For as the woman is of the man, even so is the man also by the woman; but all things of God.For as the woman is of the man, so is the man also by the woman; but all things are of God.perché come la donna proviene dall'uomo, così anche l'uomo nasce per mezzo della donna, e ogni cosa è da Dio.
Judge in yourselves: is it comely that a woman pray unto God uncovered?Judge ye in yourselves: is it seemly that a woman pray unto God unveiled?
Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a dishonor to him?
But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering. But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.
But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God.But if any man seemeth to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God.Ora se alcuno vuol essere contenzioso, noi non abbiamo una tale usanza e neppure le chiese di Dio.
Now in this that I declare unto you I praise you not, that ye come together not for the better, but for the worse. But in giving you this charge, I praise you not, that ye come together not for the better but for the worse.
For first of all, when ye come together in the church, I hear that there be divisions among you; and I partly believe it.For first of all, when ye come together in the church, I hear that divisions exist among you; and I partly believe it.prima di tutto, perché sento dire che quando vi riunite in assemblea vi sono fra voi delle divisioni; e in parte lo credo.
For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest among you.For there must be also factions among you, that they that are approved may be made manifest among you.E' necessario infatti che vi siano anche delle fazioni tra voi, affinché siano manifestati tra voi quelli che sono approvati.
When ye come together therefore into one place, this is not to eat the Lord's supper. When therefore ye assemble yourselves together, it is not possible to eat the Lord`s supper:Quando dunque vi riunite insieme, quello che fate non è mangiare la cena del Signore,
For in eating every one taketh before other his own supper: and one is hungry, and another is drunken.for in your eating each one taketh before [other] his own supper; and one is hungry, and another is drunken.perché nel mangiare ciascuno prende prima la propria cena; e uno ha fame e l'altro è ubriaco.
What? have ye not houses to eat and to drink in? or despise ye the church of God, and shame them that have not? What shall I say to you? shall I praise you in this? I praise you not. What, have ye not houses to eat and to drink in? or despise ye the church of God, and put them to shame that have not? What shall I say to you? shall I praise you? In this I praise you not.
For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:For I received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, that the Lord Jesus in the night in which he was betrayed took bread;Poiché io ho ricevuto dal Signore ciò che vi ho anche trasmesso: che il Signore Gesù, nella notte in cui fu tradito, prese del pane,
And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.and when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, This is my body, which is for you: this do in remembrance of me.e, dopo aver reso grazie, lo spezzò e disse: Prendete, mangiate; questo è il mio corpo che è spezzato per voi; fate questo in memoria di me.
After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.In like manner also the cup, after supper, saying, This cup is the new covenant in my blood: this do, as often as ye drink [it], in remembrance of me.Parimenti, dopo aver cenato, prese anche il calice, dicendo: Questo calice è il nuovo patto nel mio sangue; fate questo ogni volta che ne bevete in memoria di me.
For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come. For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink the cup, ye proclaim the Lord`s death till he come.
Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.Wherefore whosoever shall eat the bread or drink the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner, shall be guilty of the body and the blood of the Lord.
But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.But let a man prove himself, and so let him eat of the bread, and drink of the cup.
For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body. For he that eateth and drinketh, eateth and drinketh judgment unto himself, if he discern not the body.poiché chi ne mangia e beve indegnamente, mangia e beve un giudizio contro se stesso, non discernendo il corpo del Signore.
For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep. For this cause many among you are weak and sickly, and not a few sleep.
For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. But if we discerned ourselves, we should not be judged.
But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world. But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world.
Wherefore, my brethren, when ye come together to eat, tarry one for another.Wherefore, my brethren, when ye come together to eat, wait one for another.
And if any man hunger, let him eat at home; that ye come not together unto condemnation. And the rest will I set in order when I come.If any man is hungry, let him eat at home; that your coming together be not unto judgment.
