| 5 | Car David dit: Salomon, mon fils, est jeune et délicat, et la maison à bâtir pour l'Éternel doit être très-grande en renom et en beauté dans tous les pays; ainsi je préparerai pour elle ce qu'il faut: et David le prépara en abondance avant sa mort. | And David said, Solomon my son is young and tender, and the house that is to be builded for the LORD must be exceeding magnifical, of fame and of glory throughout all countries: I will therefore now make preparation for it. So David prepared abundantly before his death. | Davide diceva: Salomone, mio figlio, è giovane e inesperto e la casa che si deve costruire all'Eterno, sarà estremamente magnifica e acquisterà fama e gloria in tutti i paesi; farò quindi i preparativi per essa. Così Davide, prima di morire, fece ingenti preparativi. |

| 8 | mais la parole de l'Éternel vint à moi, disant: Tu as versé beaucoup de sang, et tu as fait de grandes guerres; tu ne bâtiras point une maison à mon nom, car tu as versé beaucoup de sang sur la terre devant moi. | But the word of the LORD came to me, saying, Thou hast shed blood abundantly, and hast made great wars: thou shalt not build an house unto my name, because thou hast shed much blood upon the earth in my sight. | ma la parola dell'Eterno mi fu rivolta, dicendo: "Tu hai versato molto sangue e hai fatto molte guerre; perciò non costruirai una casa al mio nome, perché hai versato molto sangue sulla terra davanti a me. |
| 9 | Voici, un fils te naîtra; lui, sera un homme de paix; et je lui donnerai du repos de tous ses ennemis tout à l'entour; car son nom sera Salomon. Et en ses jours je donnerai paix et tranquillité à Israël. | Behold, a son shall be born to thee, who shall be a man of rest; and I will give him rest from all his enemies round about: for his name shall be Solomon, and I will give peace and quietness unto Israel in his days. | Ma ecco, ti nascerà un figlio, che sarà uomo pacifico e io gli darò riposo da parte di tutti i suoi nemici tutt'intorno. Egli si chiamerà Salomone e nei suoi giorni darò pace e tranquillità a Israele. |
| 10 | Lui, bâtira une maison à mon nom; et il me sera pour fils, et moi je lui serai pour père; et j'affermirai le trône de son royaume sur Israël pour toujours. | He shall build an house for my name; and he shall be my son, and I will be his father; and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel for ever. | Egli costruirà una casa al mio nome; egli sarà per me un figlio e io sarò per lui un padre; e renderò stabile il trono del suo regno su Israele per sempre". |
| 11 | Maintenant, mon fils, que l'Éternel soit avec toi, et te fasse prospérer; et tu bâtiras la maison de l'Éternel, ton Dieu, selon ce qu'il a prononcé à ton sujet. | Now, my son, the LORD be with thee; and prosper thou, and build the house of the LORD thy God, as he hath said of thee. | Ora, figlio mio, l'Eterno sia con te affinché tu prosperi e costruisca la casa dell'Eterno, il tuo DIO, come egli ha detto di te. |
| 12 | Seulement, que l'Éternel te donne de la sagesse et de l'intelligence, et qu'il t'établisse sur Israël et pour garder la loi de l'Éternel, ton Dieu. | Only the LORD give thee wisdom and understanding, and give thee charge concerning Israel, that thou mayest keep the law of the LORD thy God. | Solamente l'Eterno ti dia sapienza e intelligenza e ti affidi la responsabilità su Israele, per osservare la legge dell'Eterno, il tuo DIO. |
| 13 | Alors tu prospéreras, si tu prends garde à pratiquer les statuts et les ordonnances que l'Éternel commanda à Moïse pour Israël. Fortifie-toi, et sois ferme; ne crains point, et ne t'effraye point. | Then shalt thou prosper, if thou takest heed to fulfil the statutes and judgments which the LORD charged Moses with concerning Israel: be strong, and of good courage; dread not, nor be dismayed. | Allora prospererai, se avrai cura di mettere in pratica gli statuti e i decreti che l'Eterno prescrisse a Mosè per Israele. Sii forte e coraggioso, non temere e non sgomentarti. |
| 14 | Et voici, dans mon affliction, j'ai préparé pour la maison de l'Éternel de l'or, cent mille talents, et de l'argent, mille milliers de talents, et de l'airain et du fer, sans poids, car il est en abondance; et j'ai préparé du bois et des pierres; et tu y ajouteras. | Now, behold, in my trouble I have prepared for the house of the LORD an hundred thousand talents of gold, and a thousand thousand talents of silver; and of brass and iron without weight; for it is in abundance: timber also and stone have I prepared; and thou mayest add thereto. | Ecco, io mi sono preoccupato di preparare per la casa dell'Eterno centomila talenti d'oro, un milione di talenti d'argento e una tale quantità di bronzo e di ferro da non potersi pesare. | 15 | Et tu as avec toi beaucoup d'ouvriers, des tailleurs de pierres, des maçons, et des charpentiers, et toute espèce d'hommes experts en tout ouvrage; | Moreover there are workmen with thee in abundance, hewers and workers of stone and timber, and all manner of cunning men for every manner of work. | Inoltre hai con te molti operai: scalpellini, lavoratori della pietra e del legno e ogni sorta di esperti in qualsiasi genere di lavoro. |
| 16 | l'or, l'argent, et l'airain, et le fer, sont sans nombre: lève-toi, et agis, et l'Éternel sera avec toi. | Of the gold, the silver, and the brass, and the iron, there is no number. Arise therefore, and be doing, and the LORD be with thee. | Di oro argento, bronzo e ferro, ce n'è una quantità incalcolabile. Levati dunque e mettiti al lavoro, e l'Eterno sia con te!. |
| 17 | Et David commanda à tous les chefs d'Israël d'aider à Salomon, son fils, disant: | David also commanded all the princes of Israel to help Solomon his son, saying, | Davide ordinò pure a tutti i capi d'Israele di aiutare Salomone, suo figlio, e disse loro: |
| 18 | L'Éternel, votre Dieu, n'est-il pas avec vous, et ne vous a-t-il pas donné du repos tout à l'entour? Car il a livré en ma main les habitants du pays, et le pays est soumis devant l'Éternel et devant son peuple. | Is not the LORD your God with you? and hath he not given you rest on every side? for he hath given the inhabitants of the land into mine hand; and the land is subdued before the LORD, and before his people. | Non è forse l'Eterno, il vostro DIO con voi, e non vi ha dato riposo tutt'intorno? Infatti egli ha messo nelle mie mani gli abitanti del paese, e il paese è assoggettato davanti all'Eterno e davanti al suo popolo. |
| 19 | Maintenant, appliquez vos coeurs et vos âmes à rechercher l'Éternel, votre Dieu; et levez-vous, et bâtissez le sanctuaire de l'Éternel Dieu, pour amener l'arche de l'alliance de l'Éternel et les ustensiles du sanctuaire de Dieu dans la maison qui sera bâtie pour le nom de l'Éternel. | Now set your heart and your soul to seek the LORD your God; arise therefore, and build ye the sanctuary of the LORD God, to bring the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and the holy vessels of God, into the house that is to be built to the name of the LORD. | Ora perciò disponete il vostro cuore e la vostra anima a cercare l'Eterno, vostro DIO; poi levatevi e costruite il santuario dell'Eterno DIO, per trasferire l'arca del patto dell'Eterno e gli oggetti consacrati a DIO nel tempio che sarà costruito al nome dell'Eterno. |
