| 5 | For I have not dwelt in an house since the day that I brought up Israel unto this day; but have gone from tent to tent, and from one tabernacle to another. | Car je n'ai point habité dans une maison, depuis le jour où j'ai fait monter Israël hors d'Égypte, jusqu'à ce jour; mais j'ai été de tabernacle en tabernacle, et de demeure en demeure. | Infatti non ho mai abitato in una casa dal giorno in cui feci uscire Israele dall'Egitto fino ad oggi; ma sono andato di tenda in tenda e da una dimora all'altra. |

| 7 | Now therefore thus shalt thou say unto my servant David, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I took thee from the sheepcote, even from following the sheep, that thou shouldest be ruler over my people Israel: | Et maintenant tu diras ainsi à David, mon serviteur: Ainsi dit l'Éternel des armées: Je t'ai pris au pâturage, d'auprès des brebis, afin que tu fusses chef de mon peuple d'Israël. | Ora dunque parlerai così al mio servo Davide: "Così dice l'Eterno degli eserciti: lo ti presi dall'ovile, mentre seguivi le pecore, per costituirti principe sul mio popolo Israele. |
| 8 | And I have been with thee whithersoever thou hast walked, and have cut off all thine enemies from before thee, and have made thee a name like the name of the great men that are in the earth. | J'ai été avec toi partout où tu as marché; j'ai exterminé tous tes ennemis devant toi, et je t'ai fait un nom, comme le nom des grands qui sont sur la terre. | Sono stato con te dovunque sei andato, ho sterminato davanti a te tutti i tuoi nemici e ho reso il tuo nome come quello dei grandi che sono sulla terra. |
| 9 | Also I will ordain a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, and they shall dwell in their place, and shall be moved no more; neither shall the children of wickedness waste them any more, as at the beginning, | Or, j'établirai un lieu à mon peuple d'Israël, et je le planterai; il habitera chez lui, et ne sera plus agité; les enfants d'iniquité ne le consumeront plus, comme auparavant, | Inoltre assegnerò un posto al mio popolo Israele e lo pianterò perché abiti in casa sua e non sia più sballottato, e i malvagi non continuino a devastarlo come prima, |
| 10 | And since the time that I commanded judges to be over my people Israel. Moreover I will subdue all thine enemies. Furthermore I tell thee that the LORD will build thee an house. | Et depuis les jours où j'instituai des juges sur mon peuple d'Israël. J'ai humilié tous tes ennemis, et je t'annonce que l'Éternel te bâtira une maison. | fin da quando ho stabilito i giudici sul mio popolo Israele, Umilierò pure tutti i tuoi nemici. Inoltre ti annunzio che l'Eterno ti costruirà una casa. |
| 11 | And it shall come to pass, when thy days be expired that thou must go to be with thy fathers, that I will raise up thy seed after thee, which shall be of thy sons; and I will establish his kingdom. | Quand tes jours seront accomplis, pour t'en aller avec tes pères, il arrivera que j'élèverai ta postérité après toi, l'un de tes fils, et j'affermirai son règne. | Quando i tuoi giorni si compiranno e tu andrai a raggiungere i tuoi padri, io farò sorgere un tuo discendente, che sarà uno dei tuoi figli, e consoliderò il suo regno. |
| 12 | He shall build me an house, and I will stablish his throne for ever. | C'est lui qui me bâtira une maison, et j'affermirai son trône à jamais. | Egli mi costruirà una casa e io renderò saldo il suo trono per sempre. |
| 13 | I will be his father, and he shall be my son: and I will not take my mercy away from him, as I took it from him that was before thee: | Je serai pour lui un père, et il sera pour moi un fils; et je ne retirerai point de lui ma grâce, comme je l'ai retirée de celui qui a été avant toi. | lo sarò per lui un padre ed egli sarà per me un figlio; e non ritirerò da lui il mio favore come l'ho ritirato da colui che ti ha preceduto. |

| 16 | And David the king came and sat before the LORD, and said, Who am I, O LORD God, and what is mine house, that thou hast brought me hitherto? | Alors le roi David entra, se tint devant l'Éternel, et dit: Qui suis-je, ô Éternel Dieu! et quelle est ma maison, que tu m'aies amené jusqu'ici? | Allora il re Davide entrò, si sedette davanti all'Eterno e disse: Chi sono io, o Eterno DIO, che cosa è la mia casa, perché tu mi abbia fatto arrivare fino qui? |
| 17 | And yet this was a small thing in thine eyes, O God; for thou hast also spoken of thy servant's house for a great while to come, and hast regarded me according to the estate of a man of high degree, O LORD God. | Mais c'est peu de chose à tes yeux, ô Dieu! Et tu as parlé de la maison de ton serviteur pour un temps éloigné, et tu m'as regardé à la manière des hommes, toi qui es élevé! Éternel Dieu! | Eppure questo è parso poca cosa ai tuoi occhi, o DIO; tu hai pure parlato della casa del tuo servo per un lontano avvenire e mi hai riguardato come se fossi un uomo di alto rango, o Eterno DIO. |
| 18 | What can David speak more to thee for the honour of thy servant? for thou knowest thy servant. | Que pourrait te dire encore David, de l'honneur que tu fais à ton serviteur? Tu connais ton serviteur. | Che cosa potrebbe ancora dirti Davide per l'onore fatto al tuo servo? Tu che conosci infatti il tuo servo. |
| 19 | O LORD, for thy servant's sake, and according to thine own heart, hast thou done all this greatness, in making known all these great things. | O Éternel! c'est à cause de ton serviteur, et selon ton coeur que tu as fait toutes ces grandes choses, pour faire connaître toutes ces merveilles. | O Eterno, per amore del tuo servo secondo il tuo cuore, hai compiuto tutto queste opere potenti per far conoscere tutte queste grandi cose. |
| 20 | O LORD, there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears. | Éternel! nul n'est semblable à toi, et il n'y a point d'autre Dieu que toi, selon tout ce que nous avons entendu de nos oreilles. | O Eterno, nessuno è simile a te e non c'è altro DIO fuori di te, secondo tutto ciò che abbiamo udito con le nostre orecchie. |
| 21 | And what one nation in the earth is like thy people Israel, whom God went to redeem to be his own people, to make thee a name of greatness and terribleness, by driving out nations from before thy people whom thou hast redeemed out of Egypt? | Est-il sur la terre une nation semblable à ton peuple d'Israël, que Dieu est venu racheter pour qu'il fût son peuple, et pour te faire un nom par des choses grandes et terribles, en chassant des nations de devant ton peuple que tu as racheté d'Égypte? | E chi è come il tuo popolo Israele l'unica nazione sulla terra che DIO sia venuto a redimere per farne il suo popolo, per farti un nome con cose grandi tremende, scacciando le nazioni davanti al tuo popolo che tu hai redento dall'Egitto? |
| 22 | For thy people Israel didst thou make thine own people for ever; and thou, LORD, becamest their God. | Tu t'es établi ton peuple d'Israël, pour être ton peuple à jamais; et toi, Éternel! tu as été son Dieu. | Tu hai fatto del tuo popolo Israele tuo proprio popolo per sempre; e tu, Eterno, sei divenuto il loro DIO. |
| 23 | Therefore now, LORD, let the thing that thou hast spoken concerning thy servant and concerning his house be established for ever, and do as thou hast said. | Et maintenant, ô Éternel! que la parole que tu as prononcée touchant ton serviteur et sa maison, soit ferme à jamais; et fais selon que tu as parlé. | Or dunque, o Eterno, la parola che hai pronunciato riguardo al tuo servo alla sua casa rimanga stabile per sempre! Fa' come hai detto! |
| 24 | Let it even be established, that thy name may be magnified for ever, saying, The LORD of hosts is the God of Israel, even a God to Israel: and let the house of David thy servant be established before thee. | Qu'elle demeure ferme, et que ton nom soit magnifié à jamais, afin qu'on dise: L'Éternel des armées, le Dieu d'Israël, est Dieu à Israël! Et que la maison de David, ton serviteur, soit affermie devant toi! | Sì, rimanga stabile, affinché il tuo nome sia magnificato per sempre e si possa dire: "L'Eterno degli eserciti, il DIO d'Israele, è veramente DIO per Israele"; e la casa del tuo servo Davide sia resa stabile davanti a te! |
| 25 | For thou, O my God, hast told thy servant that thou wilt build him an house: therefore thy servant hath found in his heart to pray before thee. | Car, toi-même, ô mon Dieu! tu as révélé à ton serviteur que tu lui bâtirais une maison; c'est pourquoi ton serviteur a osé prier devant ta face. | Poiché tu stesso, o mio DIO, hai rivelato al tuo servo che gli avresti costruito una casa. Per questo il tuo servo ha trovato il coraggio di pregare alla tua presenza. |
| 26 | And now, LORD, thou art God, and hast promised this goodness unto thy servant: | Et maintenant, ô Éternel! tu es Dieu, et tu as promis cette faveur à ton serviteur. | E ora, o Eterno, tu Sei DIO e hai promesso questo bene al tuo servo. |
| 27 | Now therefore let it please thee to bless the house of thy servant, that it may be before thee for ever: for thou blessest, O LORD, and it shall be blessed for ever. | Veuille donc maintenant bénir la maison de ton serviteur, afin qu'elle soit éternellement devant toi; car ce que tu bénis, ô Éternel! est béni à jamais. | Pertanto ti piaccia di benedire la casa del tuo servo, perché sussista per sempre davanti a te, perché ciò che tu benedici, o Eterno, è benedetto per sempre. |
