| 1 | Après qu'on eut amené l'arche de Dieu, on la plaça au milieu de la tente que David avait dressée pour elle, et l'on offrit devant Dieu des holocaustes et des sacrifices d'actions de grâces. | So they brought the ark of God, and set it in the midst of the tent that David had pitched for it: and they offered burnt sacrifices and peace offerings before God. |
| 2 | Quand David eut achevé d'offrir les holocaustes et les sacrifices d'actions de grâces, il bénit le peuple au nom de l'Éternel. | And when David had made an end of offering the burnt offerings and the peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the LORD. |
| 3 | Puis il distribua à tous ceux d'Israël, hommes et femmes, à chacun un pain, une portion de viande et un gâteau de raisins. | And he dealt to every one of Israel, both man and woman, to every one a loaf of bread, and a good piece of flesh, and a flagon of wine. |
| 4 | Il remit à des Lévites la charge de faire le service devant l'arche de l'Éternel, d'invoquer, de louer et de célébrer l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël. | And he appointed certain of the Levites to minister before the ark of the LORD, and to record, and to thank and praise the LORD God of Israel: |
| 5 | C'étaient : Asaph, le chef ; Zacharie, le second après lui, Jeïel, Schemiramoth, Jehiel, Matthithia, Éliab, Benaja, Obed Édom et Jeïel. Ils avaient des instruments de musique, des luths et des harpes ; et Asaph faisait retentir les cymbales. | Asaph the chief, and next to him Zechariah, Jeiel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Mattithiah, and Eliab, and Benaiah, and Obededom: and Jeiel with psalteries and with harps; but Asaph made a sound with cymbals; |

| 7 | Ce fut en ce jour que David chargea pour la première fois Asaph et ses frères de célébrer les louanges de l'Éternel. | Then on that day David delivered first this psalm to thank the LORD into the hand of Asaph and his brethren. |
| 8 | Louez l'Éternel, invoquez son nom ! Faites connaître parmi les peuples ses hauts faits ! | Give thanks unto the LORD, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people. |
| 9 | Chantez, chantez en son honneur ! Parlez de toutes ses merveilles ! | Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him, talk ye of all his wondrous works. |
| 10 | Glorifiez-vous de son saint nom ! Que le coeur de ceux qui cherchent l'Éternel se réjouisse ! | Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD. |
| 11 | Ayez recours à l'Éternel et à son appui, Cherchez continuellement sa face ! | Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually. |
| 12 | Souvenez-vous des prodiges qu'il a faits, De ses miracles et des jugements de sa bouche, | Remember his marvellous works that he hath done, his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth; |
| 13 | Race d'Israël, son serviteur, Enfants de Jacob, ses élus ! | O ye seed of Israel his servant, ye children of Jacob, his chosen ones. |
| 14 | L'Éternel est notre Dieu ; Ses jugements s'exercent sur toute la terre. | He is the LORD our God; his judgments are in all the earth. |
| 15 | Rappelez-vous à toujours son alliance, Ses promesses pour mille générations, | Be ye mindful always of his covenant; the word which he commanded to a thousand generations; |
| 16 | L'alliance qu'il a traitée avec Abraham, Et le serment qu'il a fait à Isaac ; | Even of the covenant which he made with Abraham, and of his oath unto Isaac; |
| 17 | Il l'a érigé pour Jacob en loi, Pour Israël en alliance éternelle, | And hath confirmed the same to Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant, |

| 20 | Et ils allaient d'une nation à l'autre Et d'un royaume vers un autre peuple ; | And when they went from nation to nation, and from one kingdom to another people; |
| 21 | Mais il ne permit à personne de les opprimer, Et il châtia des rois à cause d'eux : | He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes, |
| 22 | Ne touchez pas à mes oints, Et ne faites pas de mal à mes prophètes ! | Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm. |
| 23 | Chantez à l'Éternel, vous tous habitants de la terre ! Annoncez de jour en jour son salut ; | Sing unto the LORD, all the earth; shew forth from day to day his salvation. |
| 24 | Racontez parmi les nations sa gloire, Parmi tous les peuples ses merveilles ! | Declare his glory among the heathen; his marvellous works among all nations. |
| 25 | Car l'Éternel est grand et très digne de louange, Il est redoutable par-dessus tous les dieux ; | For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised: he also is to be feared above all gods. |
| 26 | Car tous les dieux des peuples sont des idoles, Et l'Éternel a fait les cieux. | For all the gods of the people are idols: but the LORD made the heavens. |
| 27 | La majesté et la splendeur sont devant sa face, La force et la joie sont dans sa demeure. | Glory and honour are in his presence; strength and gladness are in his place. |
| 28 | Familles des peuples, rendez à l'Éternel, Rendez à l'Éternel gloire et honneur ! | Give unto the LORD, ye kindreds of the people, give unto the LORD glory and strength. |
| 29 | Rendez à l'Éternel gloire pour son nom ! Apportez des offrandes et venez en sa présence, Prosternez-vous devant l'Éternel avec de saints ornements ! | Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come before him: worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness. |
| 30 | Tremblez devant lui, vous tous habitants de la terre ! Le monde est affermi, il ne chancelle point. | Fear before him, all the earth: the world also shall be stable, that it be not moved. |
| 31 | Que les cieux se réjouissent, et que la terre soit dans l'allégresse ! Que l'on dise parmi les nations : L'Éternel règne ! | Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice: and let men say among the nations, The LORD reigneth. |
| 32 | Que la mer retentisse avec tout ce qu'elle contient ! Que la campagne s'égaie avec tout ce qu'elle renferme ! | Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof: let the fields rejoice, and all that is therein. |
| 33 | Que les arbres des forêts poussent des cris de joie Devant l'Éternel ! Car il vient pour juger la terre. | Then shall the trees of the wood sing out at the presence of the LORD, because he cometh to judge the earth. |
| 34 | Louez l'Éternel, car il est bon, Car sa miséricorde dure à toujours ! | O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever. |
| 35 | Dites : Sauve-nous, Dieu de notre salut, Rassemble-nous, et retire-nous du milieu des nations, Afin que nous célébrions ton saint nom Et que nous mettions notre gloire à te louer ! | And say ye, Save us, O God of our salvation, and gather us together, and deliver us from the heathen, that we may give thanks to thy holy name, and glory in thy praise. |

| 39 | Il établit le sacrificateur Tsadok et les sacrificateurs, ses frères, devant le tabernacle de l'Éternel, sur le haut lieu qui était à Gabaon, | And Zadok the priest, and his brethren the priests, before the tabernacle of the LORD in the high place that was at Gibeon, |
| 40 | pour qu'ils offrissent continuellement à l'Éternel des holocaustes, matin et soir, sur l'autel des holocaustes, et qu'ils accomplissent tout ce qui est écrit dans la loi de l'Éternel, imposée par l'Éternel à Israël. | To offer burnt offerings unto the LORD upon the altar of the burnt offering continually morning and evening, and to do according to all that is written in the law of the LORD, which he commanded Israel; |
| 41 | Auprès d'eux étaient Héman et Jeduthun, et les autres qui avaient été choisis et désignés par leurs noms pour louer l'Éternel. Car sa miséricorde dure à toujours. | And with them Heman and Jeduthun, and the rest that were chosen, who were expressed by name, to give thanks to the LORD, because his mercy endureth for ever; |
| 42 | Auprès d'eux étaient Héman et Jeduthun, avec des trompettes et des cymbales pour ceux qui les faisaient retentir, et avec des instruments pour les cantiques en l'honneur de Dieu. Les fils de Jeduthun étaient portiers. | And with them Heman and Jeduthun with trumpets and cymbals for those that should make a sound, and with musical instruments of God. And the sons of Jeduthun were porters. |
| 43 | Tout le peuple s'en alla chacun dans sa maison, et David s'en retourna pour bénir sa maison. | And all the people departed every man to his house: and David returned to bless his house. |
