| 2 | Et il dit à toute l'assemblée d'Israël: Si vous l'approuvez, et que cela vienne de l'Eternel notre Dieu, envoyons partout vers nos autres frères qui sont dans toutes les contrées d'Israël, et avec lesquels sont les Sacrificateurs et les Lévites, dans leurs villes et dans leurs faubourgs, afin qu'ils s'assemblent vers nous; | And David said unto all the assembly of Israel, If it seem good unto you, and if it be of Jehovah our God, let us send abroad every where unto our brethren that are left in all the land of Israel, with whom the priests and Levites are in their cities that have suburbs, that they may gather themselves unto us; | Poi Davide disse a tutta l'assemblea d'Israele: Se sembra bene e se è da parte dell'Eterno, il nostro DIO, mandiamo a dire ai nostri fratelli che sono rimasti in tutte le regioni d'Israele, e con loro anche ai sacerdoti e ai Leviti nelle loro città e terreni da pascolo di radunarsi presso di noi |
| 3 | Et que nous ramenions auprès de nous l'Arche de notre Dieu; car nous ne l'avons pas recherchée aux jours de Saül. | and let us bring again the ark of our God to us: for we sought not unto it in the days of Saul. | e riportiamo da noi l'arca del nostro DIO, perché non l'abbiamo ricercata ai tempi di Saul. |
| 4 | Et toute l'assemblée répondit qu'on le fît ainsi; car la chose avait été trouvée bonne par tout le peuple. | And all the assembly said that they would do so; for the thing was right in the eyes of all the people. | Tutta l'assemblea acconsentì a fare così, perché la cosa parve giusta agli occhi di tutto il popolo. |
| 5 | David donc assembla tout Israël, depuis Sihor, le torrent d'Egypte, jusqu'à l'entrée du pays de Hamath, pour ramener de Kirjath-jéharim l'Arche de Dieu. | So David assembled all Israel together, from the Shihor [the brook] of Egypt even unto the entrance of Hamath, to bring the ark of God from Kiriath-jearim. | Allora Davide radunò tutto Israele, da Scihor d'Egitto fino all'ingresso di Hamath, per riportare l'arca di DIO da Kirjath-Jearim. |
| 6 | Et David monta avec tout Israël vers Bahala à Kirjath-jéharim, qui appartient à Juda, pour faire amener de là l'Arche de Dieu l'Eternel, qui habite entre les chérubins, le nom duquel est invoqué. | And David went up, and all Israel, to Baalah, [that is], to Kiriath-jearim, which belonged to Judah, to bring up from thence the ark of God Jehovah that sitteth [above] the cherubim, that is called by the Name. | Quindi Davide con tutto Israele salì verso Baalah, cioè verso Kirjath-Jearim che apparteneva a Giuda, per trasportare di là l'arca di DIO, l'Eterno, che siede sopra i cherubini, dove è invocato il suo nome. |
| 7 | Et ils mirent l'Arche de Dieu sur un chariot neuf, et l'emmenèrent de la maison d'Abinadab; et Huza et Ahio conduisaient le chariot. | And they carried the ark of God upon a new cart, [and brought it] out of the house of Abinadab: and Uzza and Ahio drove the cart. | Dalla casa di Abinadab trasportarono l'arca di DIO sopra un carro nuovo: Uzza e Ah io guidavano il carro. |
| 8 | Et David et tout Israël jouaient en la présence de Dieu de toute leur force, des cantiques, sur des violons, des musettes, des tambours, des cymbales, et des trompettes. | And David and all Israel played before God with all their might, even with songs, and with harps, and with psalteries, and with timbrels, and with cymbals, and with trumpets. | Davide e tutto Israele facevano festa davanti a DIO con tutte le loro forze, con canti e con cetre, arpe, tamburelli, cembali e trombe. |
| 9 | Et quand ils furent arrivés à l'aire de Kidon, Huza étendit sa main pour retenir l'Arche, parce que les boeufs avaient glissé. | And when they came unto the threshing-floor of Chidon, Uzza put forth his hand to hold the ark; for the oxen stumbled. | Quando giunsero all'aia di Kidon, Uzza stese la mano per sostenere l'arca, perché i buoi inciamparono. |
| 10 | Et la colère de l'Eternel s'enflamma contre Huza, qui le frappa, parce qu'il avait étendu sa main contre l'Arche; et il mourut en la présence de Dieu. | And the anger of Jehovah was kindled against Uzza, and he smote him, because he put forth his hand to the ark; and there he died before God. | Allora l'ira dell'Eterno si accese contro Uzza e lo colpì, perché aveva steso la sua mano sull'arca; egli morì là davanti a DIO. |
| 11 | Et David fut affligé de ce que l'Eternel avait fait une brèche en la personne de Huza; et on a appelé jusqu'à aujourd'hui le nom de ce lieu-là, Pérets-Huza. | And David was displeased, because Jehovah had broken forth upon Uzza; and he called that place Perez-uzza, unto this day. | Davide fu grandemente amareggiato perché l'Eterno aveva aperto una breccia nel popolo colpendo Uzza. Così quel luogo è stato chiamato la Breccia di Uzza fino ad oggi. |
| 12 | Et David eut peur de Dieu en ce jour-là, et il dit: Comment ferais-je entrer chez moi l'Arche de Dieu? | And David was afraid of God that day, saying, How shall I bring the ark of God home to me? | Davide in quel giorno ebbe paura di DIO e disse: Come posso trasportare l'arca di DIO a casa mia?. |
| 13 | C'est pourquoi David ne la retira point chez lui, dans la Cité de David; mais il la fit détourner dans la maison d'Hobed-Edom Guittien. | So David removed not the ark unto him into the city of David, but carried it aside into the house of Obed-edom the Gittite. | Così Davide non volle trasportare l'arca presso di sé nella città di Davide, ma la fece trasferire in casa di Obed-Edom di Gath. |
| 14 | Et l'Arche de Dieu demeura trois mois avec la famille d'Hobed-Edom, dans sa maison; et l'Eternel bénit la maison d'Hobed-Edom, et tout ce qui lui appartenait. | And the ark of God remained with the family of Obed-edom in his house three months: and Jehovah blessed the house of Obed-edom, and all that he had. | L'arca di DIO rimase tre mesi con la famiglia di Obed-Edom in casa sua; e l'Eterno benedisse la casa di Obed-Edom e tutto ciò che gli apparteneva. |
